"You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending" ~Silverburr
He breathed in the chill of the day. He'd let Briarpaw sleep in this morning instead of going to wake her up for more training like usual. She'd come so far from the time Silverburr took her under his wing for training after being paired up by Redstar. He'd taught her what he knew in his way and was happy to see that she took on his different style of training like a champ and even succeeded rather quickly in whatever task that he gave her. She'd be a warrior soon though as he knew her training was almost done. She had little left to learn from him and honestly he'd miss training her whenever she became a warrior but at least she'd be in the den with him.
His pale eyes looked up at the sky and sighed. The Leaf-Bare season made the air chilly and the sky today was filled with grey clouds. It looked gloomy, to say the least, but what was he expecting when it was Leaf-Bare? Today though wasn't about hunting or battle training as Briarpaw already had some of that stuff down. He was going to go through the territory with her one more time to make sure she knows everything; maybe even find some sweet spots to be able to hunt in later on their way back to bring food in for the hungry mouths they had within the clan.
He'd woken up Briarpaw earlier with a small bird for her breakfast before he'd instructed her to eat up and meet him at the entrance of the camp. He'd waited patiently as he groomed himself until he'd seen her form making her way towards him. He smiled and greeted her with a warm tap on her nose with his tail before he'd turned to head out of camp.
"As I'm aware this is the last part of your training that you needed. I've already helped hone the abilities that you were having issues with before and although you have seen most of the territory already throughout the different training you've learned from me and Lynxfire I'd like to go over the territory one more time just to hone that too." he told her as they walked
"We will start at the Trampled clearing. From there we will go to the Sun Stones and wrap around in a circle to the Star Fields, Crystal Creek, the Open Woods border, Flooded Grasses, and lastly, we will return to camp." he told her as they walked.
"To begin with though, why don't you tell me the history behind each territory that you know and the traits each of them holds? I would like to know what you know of the lands from your own experiences." he said as he headed for the Trampled Clearing.
He wondered what kind of stories Lynxfire told Briarpaw or if she ever told her stories. He wondered if Briarpaw ever liked to go out into the territory for herself or with friends and hang out. What had she learned on her own when she was not with him? Did she have a favorite part of the territory or a favorite hide away that was her go-to whenever she was stressed from day events or training? Those were questions for later that he had plenty of time to ask on their trek for today.
