Name:Gaia
Age:30 moons
Gender: She-cat
Clan: none
Rank: Loner
Picture:
Description: Gaia is a graceful creature with a sleek figure and soft fur the color of a black abyss and autumn ginger splashes like a koi fish. The only part of her that does not contain those two colors are around her chest and paws that are completely snow white. Another pretty part of this unique and pretty little calico loner is that she has pale green eyes that are sharp and does not miss much but they hide much behind them like a veil to the knowledge she holds. Because of her slight frame with the sleek fur, she's quick on her feet moving like a silent phantom through the brush without a sound-making her a great hunter or a sleuth for information.
Description Summary: Black and ginger calico with light green eyes
Personality:Gaia is considered an intelligent and witty conversationalist, holding an intimate knowledge of the outside world outside of a clan and its workings as she had been through a lot in her life as a loner. Although relatively calm and mature when a situation calls for it, Gaia is quite laid-back and playful, often teasing or flirting with others. That is a mechanism that hides the fact that she is rather a trouble minded she-cat. She believes that is it her duty to protect, teach, and make way for the future generation. She holds her responsibility for her brother rather high which puts pressure on her. But, she'd never be caught dead allowing others to see the side that burdens her which is why she hides what she really thinks behind sarcasm, witty conversations, and a teasing smile. Asides from stated above Gaia is a cautious creature but likes to see the good in things even if things seem a bit gloomy; she believes no matter how down the situation looks no one can be motivated by having the appeal of something look impossible to obtain. She's wise for her age which she can thank her grandfather for and although she enjoys being silly to make others laugh she is actually a rather good teacher and enjoys giving knowledge to others so that others may learn to survive. The one thing she can't stand though is close-minded individuals. Whether she had known them for long or just met someone; anyone who does not have a wiling mind to do something a different way just to see if it's easier than their own way makes the she-cat extremely angry. She understands the need for tradition but tradition in her mind was based off of one cat long ago that should dictate the many generations after them is ridiculous. She is extremely loyal and believes in family loyalty. Not only that but she believes in 'blood doesn't make family' so she isn't opposed to helping those who are in need even if she doesn't consider herself a motherly type. She downgrades herself to being ordinary and tends to not believe what others say about her skills or her personality traits that put her in a good light because she doesn't like the attention being focused solely on her because she enjoys working behind the scenes. She's pretty secretive and doesn't like people knowing what she is thinking and won't hesitate to snap back out of anger that stems from fear of knowledge others have of her. She does not mind giving knowledge but when it's about herself and others figuring stuff out about her she tends to freak out. Sometimes her pride gets the best of her and makes her get arrogant from her abilities and doesn't take rejection well although she will hide it behind a snarky or playful remark. Having lost many of those who she held dear in her life she tries to replace others in her life even if they don't fill the hole she holds in her heart. She's a lonely creature inside even when she smiles.
"Kids should be kids as long as they can be; because when it comes to growing up. You'll never be able to get what you lost back." ~Gaia
"If you follow the classical pattern, you are understanding the routine, the tradition, and the shadow--You are not understanding yourself." ~Gaia
History: She doesn't remember much of her parents. Growing up all she knew as a parental figure was her grandfather Rex. He was a burly old coot with scars more than he did fur and what fur he did have was scraggly and looked like an owl with it's feathers sticking all over the place. But she loved him regardless. From what she heard stories from Rex about her family was that they got killed by some wild animals. She didn't know the full story though because he never told her; he always got defensive and angry whenever she brought them up so she stopped asking for awhile. He taught her how to survive in the wild with him. When she was 6 moons old she found a stray kitten by himself when she was alone waiting on Rex to return from his hunting trip. Abbadon was his name according to the kitten. By kitten she meant he probably only 4 moons old. How he survived she didn't know. According to him though he'd been separated from his family for a few days after he had run off chasing a butterfly. Long story short they never did end up finding his family again so Rex sort of adopted the younger kit. Gaia never had siblings that she could remember so having a little tag along was rather fun in her opinion. She loved teasing him and in the end she was his lifeline to surviving as she taught him everything she knew and more. When Gaia had turned 14 moons old Rex passed away from a rat's bite leaving a heartbroken Gaia and confused Abbadon. Gaia had to take things into her own paws and find her and her adopted brother a place to hide out until they could figure out what to do. Thing was though, they found a spot not too far away from where they buried their grandfather and in the end never left. When Abbadon was older he was in charge of patrolling their little 'borders' they created. Gaia had a sinking feeling in her heart that morning when he left. And she was right. The skies were not the only thing that loomed ahead of them. She didn't know what had happened but Abbadon never came home...She'd sat there for days and days watching through the rain and silent nights hoping he'd come running in like the mad idiot he was. But he never did and in the end; Gaia forced herself to leave her home. Leaving back the painful memories realizing that she was once more alone.
