Name: Hickorykit > Hickorypaw > Hickoryfoot
Age: 29 moons
Gender: she-cat
Clan: RainClan
Rank: Warrior
Picture:
Description: Hickoryfoot is a cream and tabby she-cat. Her tabby markings are a bit faint, particularly along her legs, belly, and head. They wrap around her legs, creating several bands and partial bands which fade out almost at once. Along the base of her tail, the tabby markings are faint enough and spaced far enough apart that they could almost be described as patches rather than stripes. She does, however, have the very defined tabby markings on her face. Her fur is medium length, a bit on the long side when it come to her bushy plume of a tail. When wet, her fur smooths down and reveals the lank and thin form of her body, which enhances the muscles of her body. Her ears are big, the inner ear matching the same shade of pink as her nose. There are tiny wisps that grace the tips of her ears, but despite the shape of them they can't be counted as real tufts. Her whiskers are very long, getting in the way sometimes, since there are so many and brush up against things so often. Her back legs are long and very powerful, good for jumping and swimming and all the other playful activities she gets into. Her nose is a pale pink, matching the same color as the pads of her paw. Her eyes are a very pale amber, though the pigments is getting a bit darker as she gets older.
Description Summary: A small, medium furred, cream and ginger tabby she-cat with a long, bushy tail and pale amber eyes.
Personality:
Hickoryfoot's personality has undergone very little shift from kithood to warrior. Where many warriors the same age as her age lose their reckless exploration and curiosity, Hickoryfoot's has possibly worsened from the kit who would try and sneak into the leader's den with her brother Elmkit. Hickoryfoot is always quick to initiate a game and gets along with kits and apprentices far more than she does many of the warriors. This might not just be because she likes them more and might revolve around her reckless and unreliable nature. While she is perfect for entertaining the young, her attempts to get along with cats her own age must first survive the hurdle of her flightiness and energetic attitude. She will often state that she will make it to a training session or similar, only to turn up late or early without regards to what this does to the rest of the session. While she might notice this is inappropriate, she does not seem willing, or perhaps able, to change. However, when pinned down for a conversation, it is found that Hickoryfoot is immensely kind, perhaps even to the point where she worries the few friends she does have might break if they are emotionally or physically injured. Due to her brother's death at such a young age, she seems to find more purpose alone, no longer attempting to adventure with others as she might have as an apprentice. She becomes a bit more open around cats she cares about, revealing the shattered habits and feelings she has gained from Elmpaw's death. She is particularly close with Elkheart, her old mentor, who she will willingly check up on and go out of her way to talk to.
History:
During kithood, Hickorykit was the adventurer. She'd always drag her brother, Elmkit, into her antics. Nursery queens often had to chase them down and bring them back from the various dens that they had snuck into or the cats they had pestered. She was young enough when her parents, Kestralheart and Jaggedfeather, parted ways, and she had been apprenticed, that there was enough family between her and her brother to last her. It was a connection which she greatly fostered and she found joy in, and as inseparable as they were when they were kits the more so they became as apprentices. When Kestralheart died during both sibling's early apprenticehood, it did not take Hickorypaw long to bounce back.
Hickorypaw was motivated day to day, having to be pushed to reach her full potential by her mentor Elkheart. Both apprentice and mentor got along, Hickorypaw willing to challenge the warrior, either with seriousness or with a joke, if she thought she could get away with it. Her wandering adventurous nature, willing to take any risk, often got her into trouble with authority. Often she would drag Elmpaw into her shenanigans, which constantly culminated in one or both apprentices getting into trouble. Sometimes they would cross borders, or climb high trees, or swim without supervision. Often, this wouldn't result in injuries, and both apprentices' luck would hold. This did not, however, hold up forever. Near the end of Hickorypaw's apprenticehood, when she had been tempered a bit by age and experience, she convinced her brother Elmpaw to go hunting during a storm which confined much of the camp to their dens. Elmpaw agreed. Though the hunting session went without issue, or the two apprentices getting caught, Elmpaw returned with a case of greencough. Due to this, he died no more than a moon before when he would have received his warrior name.
Jaggedfeather, her remaining parent, died not soon after. Hickoryfoot seemed unresponsive to the grieve which she should have felt and she never let any cat get close enough to work out how she actually felt.
Where this might have subdued Hickorypaw's wanderings and recklessness, it had the opposite effect. While she did admit to her failings and her warrior ceremony was held back, there was no punishment for what was deemed an unfortunate accident. The newly named Hickoryfoot remained close to her mentor, but she would remain the first to jump into danger - whether to volunteer or to do so unasked. While she is constantly reprimanded and occasionally punished, she remains unapologetic for her actions and seems unaware of the path she walks.
Other: She's ace/aro.
