A large, long-furred silver tabby tom with white paws and green eyes.
Hollow is the type of cat that's keenly aware of just how handsome he is, and it shows through his well-groomed pelt. Though, it would be impossible to neglect the grooming of his fur, given the fact his long, thick coat can easily become tangled and knotted within a matter of days if he doesn't keep up with it. His silver coat is so thick, he appears to have layers, because his fur his a pale brown tint to it under the light gray-to-white blend that spreads from his chest across his back. The light brown shines through especially in the ring of white around his throat, and the splash of white on his belly. His legs and head are different, fading to a slightly darker shade of gray and accompanied by black tabby stripes. His tail is huge, striped, and bushy, ending in a black floof of a tail-tip. He has a white muzzle and a pink nose, and a pair of sharp green eyes. Hollow isn't small underneath all his fur, either; he's built like a boulder, and any cat seeking to assume he's all fur and no muscle will be sorely mistaken.
COLLAPSING IN STORM
Originally a very free-spirited cat as a To-Be and a young Cave-Guard, Hollow was once incredibly well-liked as a social and respectful (not to mention handsome) tom. None of his Tribemates know the reason behind his transformation into the personality he has today, but it happened when he was still a young Cave-Guard. It seemed to occur after a period of him being unusually quiet and resentful that he became a shockingly arrogant cat with a sarcastic streak. Though he kept up his duties as a Cave-Guard well enough to not garner any complaints, his behavior was becoming disrespectful and eventually he was talked to and he became a distilled version of this new cat.
Though Hollow has long since earned his place as a strong and respected Cave-Guard, it doesn't mean he's always the easiest cat to get along with. While he appears to be open enough with his Tribemates, it's pretty much a false front as he rarely parts with any true impression of himself to others. He enjoys being snarky and isn't afraid to get on the nerves of others because of it, though never enough for anyone to think he's being outright insulting. He's social and isn't opposed to casual chat, but isn't really close with any one of his Tribemates simply because that's the way he wants it. His motivation for this is self-preservation alone. He does have some more positive traits, but prefers to keep them hidden below the surface. He can be kind and gentle, though he usually defers to being gruff or taunting. He's also shown the ability to be selfless and loyal to his Tribe, known once for having rescued a couple of To-Bes in the middle of one of the worst snowstorms they'd ever seen.
INSPIRATION: Damon Salvatore (The Vampire Diaries), Flynn Rider (Tangled)
Both of Hollow's parents were nearing old age when Grass gave birth to her litter of two kits, and a third stillborn. Stricken by the one of her kits being born dead, Grass seemed to weaken after giving birth instead of growing stronger as she ought to. She voiced regrets to having a litter at all to her mate, Hail, who was desperately trying to get her to eat so their surviving kits could live. But Grass began to get more frail, and her milk dried up, forcing the kits to suckle from a different Kit-Mother. One night, Grass wandered outside of the cave and never returned, and the Tribe suspects she was carried off by an eagle, as she would've been an easy target for any predator at this point. Hail mourned her loss, but refused to withdraw from his kits the way his mate had.
Hail dutifully raised his two surviving kits, but nursed a worry about Valley, who was very small and frail, though she didn't lack in energy. Hollow, on the other hand, was incredibly healthy; bigger than most kits his age, he spent a lot of time with the To-Bes, clearly in anticipation of becoming one. When the kits came of age, both were eager to be placed.
To no one's surprise, Hollow was made a Cave-Guard To-Be, and Valley was made a Prey-Hunter To-Be. Hollow, from the beginning, was an incredibly social and friendly young cat, and had already made fast friends with the Cave-Guard To-Bes as a kit. He had fun with them, and took his training seriously when he had to of course, and was charmingly polite and respectful to all his older Tribemates. As he became older and grew into himself, he began to be whispered about in a more... coy manner, and it was clear there were some she-cats that were quite interested in him and what kind of a Tribe member he would grow into.
When Hollow was made a full Cave-Guard, it was a proud day for him. It wasn't long after this that he began to attract the affection of she-cats that were interested in pursuing him as a mate. However, he remained oblivious, and maintained strong friendships with each of them, completely unaware their feelings went beyond that.
