He couldn't help it. Couldn't stop thinking about it. It was everything that plagued him to the point that he no longer could focus on his duties. That was a tragedy in itself and an inner hardship for himself as Silverburr was known for being a rather dedicated warrior and rather strict with how much duties he handled to the point of near or to exhaustion. But, since he met that apprentice Glacierpaw on a patrol that the apprentice was on with his own clan...it flipped his world up-side-down. He couldn't even sleep having thought over and over the possibilities of what the encounter meant. That being said; it was of no surprise that the lanky dappled tom had slunk his way from the warrior's quarters of his LightningClan camp and out of the camp itself. His restless paws took him somewhere his mind never thought to ever think to take him. Outside the borders of his clan territory. Outside the borders of any clan that was marked. The unknown lands that were not often visited by the clans but somehow his paws decided to take him there.
A new landscape would due his mind some good right? Maybe, maybe not. But his pale green eyes much like the smaller tom he had met the previous days before swept along the unfamiliar landscapes; alert for any danger despite his roiling thoughts within his skull. It wouldn't do him any good if he ended up losing his mind so much that he got ambushed by a predator at night. He usually didn't come out at night and preferred to sleep a little and be up before the dusk patrols were sent out so that he would be out there to join them. But no, tonight was different. The air held something...new in the air that he didn't know about. He couldn't quiet understand it but he threw it off as just being the new change in season and the new blooms of nature around him getting back to it's lively self after so many moons of hiding or surviving the coldness.
The grassy ground gave way to cool stone soon enough as his paws landed on rocks of the cliffs around him. He could hear the sound of water running somewhere up ahead. His gazes turned towards the dark skies to see the stars brightly shining and he wondered briefly if the stars seemed a bit brighter out here then if he was in his own territory. He mused silently to himself and followed his senses and hearing to find the secret waterfall within the caves. The scent of fresh running water and dampness invaded his senses and he paused to let it sink in. It itself was not an unusual scent...but it seemed different because it came from a source outside of the boundaries his warrior duties had led him throughout his lifetime of 30 moons. This land here was not somewhere he had been before but somehow his paws knew where to take him. He briefly wondered if he would find Moon here after so many many moons of lifetime having not seen the molly he had had a one night of fun with. Only if the stars were so gracious...yeah right.
He stood staring at the waterfall in front of him thoughtfully and then glanced behind him; he wasn't expecting to be found but he needed to make sure he had not been followed. He also needed to make sure that he did not stay here too long...Starclan only knew what kind of trouble he'd have found if he had been found out that he had gone outside of the clan territories and boundaries. Seeing he was alone; he settled his lanky self down and closed his eyes letting the sound of the water lull him into a trance that brought back some memories to his mind after so long to reminiscence.
