Her paws led her; she did not choose to go there to be honest. She never really ever went near the Nursery. Kits and their mothers were not something that IvoryRose was fond of. Not that she did not care for their safety or thought them annoying. The white warrior was just not used to the innocence that comes with that den and it's occupants. She would provide and protect of course but she was not used to being there to interact with them. Kits themselves depending on how they were raised could be annoying and IvoryRose was not used to being around them to build up a tolerance. Truth be told though, her lack of interest in the kits and queens of her clan was probably bordering from her issues as a young kit herself with her purist idealist parents that she grew up with that seemed to suffocate her growing up and making her question herself. So she probably was just scared of being a bad influence or something because of her trauma as a kit herself. But, she had woken up earlier that morning then usual and had gone out hunting after dealing with a stressful night of lack of sleep and had gone out before even the dusk came out. The stars had been still bright and shining out in the skies by the time the white she-cat made her way through the dark clearing and into the woods to hunt and get her mind off of her troubles.
She did not hunt right away of course, she did not want to exhaust herself to the point where she would be useless to her clan mates if she were needed for a hunting or border patrol or really whatever was needed of her. She had strolled through the darkness of the forest and breathed in the fresh new scents of New-Leaf. The gentle fragrance of growing plants and flowers all around her. The crispness of the melting snow still fading day by day, and the moist earth beneath her restless paws as the snow melted and soaked into the ground beneath her. IvoryRose loved this time of season as it left with the old and came in with the new. She had strolled for awhile until she noticed the sun starting to peak with pink and grey colors. It was time for hunting now as she knew her clan mates would be up. She probably would run into a patrol or at least catch wind of them as she hadn't noticed it getting that late in the morning and instead focused herself on hunting. Might as well come back with some prey to help her clan out a little more.
The gentle breeze of the morning blew through her short white fur as she padded back towards the camp site. A nice sized fish in her jaws as she walked. Her destination was towards the prey pile before she found herself slowing her pace as she neared the nursery. She could smell the warmth and milky scent of the mollies and kits inside and she could hear some movement. She hesitated a long moment and glanced towards the fresh kill pile before she decided to make a surprising split decision and quickly turned her path from her original destination and found herself slipping hesitantly into the Nursery. She paused in the doorway to let her eyes adjust as she took in the scene inside and the scents that invaded her nostrils. She blinked her amber eyes a moment before focusing on her clanmate. FernGaze had just become a queen as of recently; although the white molly did not know her all too well she still felt it was her duty to at least congratulate her.
Stepping towards the young queen she set the fish down and cleared her throat a bit awkwardly. She had not been near or in this very nursery since she was a kit by her mother's side. She shifted on her paws and looked down at the fish. Oh right, she could start a conversation that way!
"Good morning FernGaze. Are you hungry?" she offered tipping her chin towards the fish she had caught. "I thought I'd stop by and see how you are getting along in this new den." she added
