Name: Maplefoot
Age: 24 Moons
Gender: she-cat
Clan: LightningClan
Rank: Apprentice
Picture:
Description: Maplepaw is a small bodied she-cat, who looks like she shouldn't fit in the body she was born into. Her shoulders are too broad, which is enhanced even further by the fluff around her collar and shoulder-blades which make it seem like this small cat is a mini multi-colored lion. Her fur is almost as long as her whiskers, too thick to be comfortable in the blazing heat and it's never cold long enough to make a difference any other time. Her ears, without the long fur, look too small for her head, peaking out of the fur like small mountains. She's a calico-and-white she-cat with bright tabby markings underlying the spots and patches across her body. She has predominant black and orange patches on her legs and side, enhanced with faint highlights in white, black, or orange as underfur and stripes along her legs. There is white on her chin, dipping down along her chest, shoulders, belly, and under her flank. Her white paws also stand out, adding even more white to make up a majority of her pelt color. The left side of her face is black, as is both of her small ears. The right side of her face is orange, along with hints of tabby markings along the rest of her muzzle and face. She has soft green eyes, framed by long whiskers.
Description Summary: A small, long furred, calico-and-white she-cat with soft green eyes.
Personality: She was raised to be dutiful to her elders as well as her peers and she shows great respect for cats within her clan. She attempts to show respect to other clans and outsiders when in the presence of her family or other cats with a positive opinion of them, but she is hesitant to feel the same when in her privet life. She still isn't old enough and wise enough to have a solid opinion of cats outside of her comfort zone and instead she is more trusting of those she has known all her life. She is very empathetic and will attempt to relate to everyone through the lens of her own life. This, while it is often helpful, sometimes makes her emotions feel shallow, particularly when such a young cat doesn't have the ability to grasp the same broad emotions of the older warriors around her. Even though she is empathetic, she struggles to give actual advice if she does not have personal experience in a matter and even then the advice she gives is exclusively her own experience rather than something which might benefit the cat she is speaking to.
She is loyal and incorruptible, never willing to turn her back on a friend or her Clan, even when she is curious about the outside would. This makes her a daydreamer. She thinks about what's out there, but it so stuck in her ways that she will doubtlessly remain in LightningClan til the day she dies. If pressed to act against a friend or her clan, she will shut down, unable to really process how she or another cat could commit what she sees as a betrayal of trust. This makes her seem like a stickler for the rules, even though it really is just loyalty that she stands by as a rule she follows with her heart. With her primary loyalty being to her clan first, she trusts far too easily those cats within her clan, even if they may not have her best interests at heart. Her understanding of loyalty is not everyone else's and this can catch her up often.
History: At birth, Maplekit was was named after her maternal great aunt Mapleheart, who died in a fight that started the major conflict between StoneClan and LightingClan. Despite a difficult kitting on the part of her mother, Larkflower, Maplekit was healthy and lively. Other cats might possibly have even called her a bit greedy, since she would often try to be first in her first moon of life. All three of the kits in the litter were named after some cat who was important to Larkflower and Sunnyheart.
As a young kit, she would often try to be the head in all the games. First to jump at the chance of being leader and, if already been voted down, first to jump at the chance to be medicine cat. Any position which kept her important to the clan. These young, kithood games are often accredited to her deep-seated loyalty to her clan.
Maplekit, daughter of Sunnyheart and Larkflower, has a loving relationship with the rest of her family. She is very proud of the roots that her family carries and the love that they hold for her. She has a good relationship with her brothers, enough so that she trust them with her secrets and interest in her family's loner origins. She is dutifully loyal to her clan, but pesters the other cats (particularly the elders) about the battles and exploits that LightningClan has been through just to hear about the history of who she is in relation to the other clans. She has sympathy for her own clan, but is hesitant on how she should feel about the other clans due to the conflict they have had in the past and despite the new relationships forming around her. She's unwilling to discuss her unsteadiness of opinion about the other clans with her clanmates at large, but she admits her hesitation to her brothers and the few close friends that she has. Her loyalty to her clan is based on the loyalty that her own family has shown LightningClan and she is faultlessly loyal to her clan and its interests. This is based solely on her family relationship with her clan and through no personal experience of her own.
At six moons, Maplekit became Maplepaw and was apprenticed to a warrior of LightningClan, Owlmind. Eventually, Owlmind became Owlstar, while Maplepaw was still in training. This tied Maplepaw even further to her mentor and the clan she had grown up in. This loyalty runs deep - perhaps a little too deep - and after the Earthquake she followed Owlstar more than her heart. Even though she was loyal to her clan, Maplefoot, newly made a warrior, is far more loyal to what LightningClan used to be.
