Timberfrost
The story's getting old but my heart is getting colder
Days had passed since Treeclan had once again been beaten at the border they shared with Nightclan. This would be the second time they had gotten their tails handed to them within the season, blood dried across the snow, from both clans as their warriors clashed violently.
Not all had walked away from the battle.
The frosty tempered feline had managed to slip away with only a few claw marks to her dense pelt, nothing serious as she enjoyed her game of cat and mouse with the smaller, gray she-cat from Nightclan. Well, aside from the foul temper she developed due to the recent event.
Giving enough grace to allow her gray and white companion to heal from the wounds she received, Timberfrost finally pulled Rocktail from the warmth of the Warrior's Den early that morning. The large feline had always been an early riser, like the cycle of the sun, it was continuous every morning.
"Rocktail." The dark tabby's voice was nearly as cold as the cerulean gaze that was etched upon her face. Though she was curt, she wasn't snapping at the other feline. She just happened to have a frosted tone within her raspy mew, and usually just cut to the chase rather than spend time dancing around the subject with small talk.
Exiting the den, the large she-cat waited for her clanmate, chilly gaze fixed upon Rocktail's gray and whtie pelt as she finally emerged. Of course Timberfrost gave her minimal time to catch up before she turned with a flicker of her tail, heading out into the snow covered forest in the direction of the hidden thickets.
Best place for battle training.
The two of them were only a moon apart, and Rocktail had practically grown up with the Tabby Trio that consisted of the large, dark tabby and her two siblings. Perhaps one of Timberfrost's first and only friends, it was only natural for her to offer to improve Rocktail's offence and defense. Especially if Nightclan insisted on any more attacks after this recent battle. While Timberfrost spent time refreshing and improving with Foxfur and Brackenstride, it wasn't often that Rocktail joined them.
With the snow crunching under her weight, that icy gaze glanced over a broad shoulder to find Rocktail keeping up with her long stride. Slowing, Timberfrost gave her friend enough time to catch up so that they were side by side while they continued their trek through Treeclan's quiet forest, the sun still rising up behind them and casting a bright glow upon the fresh and undisturbed snow around them.
"How are you feeling?" Timberfrost asked after a moment, a puff of breath visible as it left her maw. The large feline let her frozen pools pass over Rocktail's gray and white fur, looking for any signs of healing or healed wounds that she might have endured during her fight with the tortoiseshell tomcat she fought.
