Exciting news time! Apart from just generally being super busy this fall, I've also been applying to study abroad, and I'm glad to say that I'll be heading to Edinburgh next semester!! A little bit about the place:
What does that mean for here? Well, I'm not entirely sure what my schedule will be like since it'll be 100% finalized when I get there, but if it stays the same as it is now, then I will likely have a lot more free time and can hopefully spend at least part of it here, though naturally I'm also planning to travel around and explore. I'll be flying out on January 7th, so right now it's figuring out what I need to do to get ready to go and visiting with people before I go. Once I get there, I'm expecting it to take me some time to settle in and figure out a new routine and get used to everything too.
So I'm still here, but I suppose you can consider this a blanket warning for January through the middle of June - if I disappear, it's probably because I'm having the time of my life meeting new people and admiring the accents (and maybe learning how to do a Scottish one?) and nerding out over Harry Potter and admiring the beautiful architecture and venturing off around the UK and the rest of Europe
- It's the capital of ScotlandI keep hearing wonderful things about the city from everyone I talk to. It'll be my first time traveling alone to a different country and really living on my own, which is equally exciting and terrifying, but I'm really hoping the entire experience will be as awesome as I think it will.
- There is a castle on a hill -hums Ed Sheeran-
- I've heard the museums are free, which is something I can 110% get behind
- The weather will probably be crap (cold, gray, and rainy)
- Some great minds have lived there, including Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Charles Darwin and JK Rowling
