Padding back to camp with Falconwing, they both carried prey in their jaws. She had been out on a small hunting patrol with her white furred brother. It seemed he did a lot with her lately, and she was glad for his loyalty. They hadn't been able to catch much, most prey was still a bit hesitant to come out after the storm, it seemed. As the two came upon a young cat, Ravenstar set her prey at her paws and turned to Falconwing, "Do you think you can carry mine back as well?"
When he nodded and put his prey down next to hers so he could pick them all up better, she turned back and called over to the medicine cat apprentice, "Hello, Lunarpaw! What are you doing out here alone?" though her tone showed only curiousity, she wasn't trying to be rude or accusing. For all she knew she could be doing something for Mistheart, or maybe she just had some free time, though if the young cat wished to go much farther away from camp, Ravenstar would accompany the young cat. She didn't like any of her cats going out alone for very long with the ever present threat of Demon, especially apprentices.

Lunarpaw's ears pricked up at the sound of Ravenstar's voice. She felt heat flow into her ears. "Oh! Ravenstar.... I was, um.... just...."
How could she say she was fight training when she was out alone? She didn't have anyone to teach her and train her to battle. She wanted to defend her Clan through sickness and wars, and if there was any other creature attacking it was likely that they would not show mercy to a Medicine Cat.
"I was trying to teach myself how to fight...." She muttered softly.

"I see," she mewed, looking thoughtfully at the young cat. She knew it was important for a medicine cat to at least know how to defend themselves. Not all creatures and cats in the mountains followed the warrior code and would just leave a medicine cat alone. However, she also knew how against fighting Mistheart was, and sighed as she knew Mistheart would never teach Lunarpaw anything about fighting. The other apprentices were all out with their mentors right now, and most of the other warriors were busy.
"If you'd like, I could teach you some simple moves... at least so you could defend yourself and Mistheart if it came to it," she offered. Her own mentor wouldn't teach her, so Ravenstar saw no harm in teaching the young cat herself... it had been a while since she had an apprentice of her own, and she enjoyed training young cats. Mistheart could take care of teaching Lunarpaw everything she need to know to become a great medicine cat, and she could teach her a little of everything else. It seemed like a god plan to her, as long as Mistheart didn't mind.

"Thank you so much Ravenstar!" The apprentice purred and lept on her leader and licked her affectionately. "I'll listen to everything."
The white she-cat sat up, her eyes intent. This was a once in a lifetime chance - being taught by the Clan leader. Her paws held completely still as she listened to the leader's instructions.

Ravenstar purred, amused, and waited for Lunarpaw to settle down. "Alright... we'll start with some basics." Ravenstar sat still for just a moment before suddenly swiping her paw, claws unsheathed, right in front of Lunarpaw's nose, quickly and strongly. She chuckled and laid her paw back on the ground, claws now sheathed, "This is call the front paw strike, and your claws are always unsheathed. It is good to be fast, and use your strength, but not too much or it was throw you off balance. One good front paw strike can send a warrior running to find a new opponent if it's well placed. The move is more useful if you're backed into a corner or somewhere where you're flank is protected."
She started licking the paw she had demonstrated with, "Why don't you try, Lunarpaw... try to get your balance of strength and speed correct so you don't unbalance yourself and fall over," she purred, remembering the first time she had tried the move as an apprentice and had swung too strongly, twisted around and fell straight on her face. That had been one of the most embarrassing moments of her whole apprenticehood.

Lunarpaw swiped her paw out, gently though so she wouldn't accidently claw Ravenstar's nose. It went fast, but she could see how lacking in power it was. Urg! If I could try it on someone else I wouldn't worry if they lost an eye.....
The white apprentice tried the manuever repeatedly, trying to mimic Ravestar.

Ravenstar watched Lunarpaw for a while. She was getting the hang of the motion, but she knew it was hard to practice without knowing what it really felt like. Hopefully the young medicine cat would never have to find out, but that would have to do for now.
"Alright... you can practice it more on your own sometime. Try this one, another basic move," she lifted her paw and brought it down hard, knowing the wet ground would cushion the blow, even if it did get her a little wet, "This is the front paw blow, and it is always done with claws sheathed. You have to hit hard or it won't do much, but be careful when you practice it. Always hit your opponent's head with this move, or aim for the legs to trip or unbalance them or the move won't get you anywhere." She stood, "Practice it a couple times, and then we'll see if you can unbalance me with it by aiming at my paws and legs."

Lunarpaw nodded and purred. The sun was beginning to go down, and her fur was shadowed. She glanced up at Ravenstar. "I'll practice hard! But I think Mistheart might need me."
The she cat clumsily hurried into the Medicine Den to avoid meeting with the other apprentices. Once inside she curled up on her moss bed. She might get up if Mistheart needed anything, but now she needed to think.
When I meet StarClan again, what will they say.....

As Lunarpaw bounded back into the medicine cat den Mistheart was taken a little by surprise, she had not expected her apprentice to come back so soon. But when she looked out of the den entrance she could see that camp was slowly darkening, it looked like the sun was setting.
As the apprentice got to her moss immediately Mistheart looked at her confused, ’Lunarpaw,’ she mewed, ’What have you been up to?’ she asked curiously. She defiantly seemed like she was avoiding somebody. She remembered her taking the moss into the apprentices den, there is nothing wrong with helping out, she thought so that couldn’t have been what she was avoiding. Maybe it was something outside of camp. The pale tabby she cat knew that with this apprentice anything was possible.

The white she-cat gave a small yawn. "I'm just tired from Ravenstar helping me out with defense training....." She meowed softly. Well, that was true to but it didn't matter.
Her black striped tail curled around her and she let it rest over her nose. Her eyes closed and she took a deep breath. Mistheart was a good mentor, strict and a good Medicine Cat. Lunarpaw wasn't complaining, other than the fact she had to do things for the elders when her plans were discovered and she was caught.

Mistheart was not convinced that that was the whole truth, but it may have been some of the reason. She had after all been talking about fighting training with her this morning. She couldn’t blame her for wanting to learn to fight too; it was just hard for Mistheart to think about it because she disagreed with fighting more than anything else. ’Ok then,’ she mewed quietly as she saw that her apprentice obviously wanted to rest.
She turned to her herbs and began checking they were all in place as she often did, maybe I should teach her how to make a poultice next time it is rainy? she questioned herself. It would most definitely be better than Lunarpaw falling into neck high mud trying to find herbs.

Lunarpaw could scent other cats around her - cats from every Clan she knew. Where am I? We're not having a Gathering..... are we? She recognized the scent of a cat who once visited her.
"Pebbleheart!" She meowed surprised. He was the first Medicine Cat of NightClan, back before when it was called ShadowClan. Back before her ancestors had to leave their home. "What is it?" She meowed.
The white she-cat was unaware she was fidgeting in her sleep. Her whiskers were twitching outside of the dream in place of her running her mouth.

As Lunarpaw was having a restless sleep the pale tabby cat stopped her herb counting and watched her for a minute in pure wonder. Is she having a dream from Starclan? she thought to herself wondering if it would be important. She knew not to wake her apprentice but allow the dream to continue.
She stood up and padded out of the den to the fresh kill pile, she thought maybe Lunarpaw would want something to eat after her dream, and then she would be able to tell Mistheart all about it. She picked out a plump mouse from the pile and carried it back into the dark medicine cat den, placing it carefully by the side of her apprentices nest for her. Mistheart sat patiently and waited for her apprentice to wake up, although she knew it could be for a long time yet her tail was flicking in anticipation.

{{OOC; I think we'll need Ravenstar to play StarClan, but this could be where we get the prophecy! =3}}

((trouble is... I don't know exactly what the plot is going to be yet.... You're welcome to brainstorm it in the Staff Lounge. In fact, I'll make a thread for it now.))
