When Leafscar did not say anything to him only shot him a glance Tangleweed began to groom his own pelt. The brown and white fur had merged together in a tangled mass. He began fixing it with swift sweeps of his pink tongue. What has Dawnpelt been up to? I need to talk to her, she’s my sister, she always confides in me, why not now? he thought as he continue to groom himself. ~~~~~~~~~~ Dawnpelt looked at the leader’s feet; she could not bear to look her in the face in case her eyes deceived her. ’Yes Silverstar,’ she mewed, although deep down she knew it would happen again, she would just have to be more careful about it. She had been lucky that the storm had started when it did otherwise her brother and the deputy may have found them together. Thanks Starclan, she thought in her head, it was them that had sent the rain.
Dawnpelt left the den as instructed and padded off in the direction of the warriors den, the rain could be heard outside as it pounded the tree. I hope Maverick found shelter in time. she thought to herself. Once she was settled in her nest in the warriors den she began her grooming, she started with her belly this time, she knew even if the kits she was carrying would cause trouble she still needed to protect them as a mother should, and that meant keeping them warm.

The deputy padded over to Silverstar, his whiskers twitching. There was definately tension is the air, probably from her interrogation of Dawnpelt. He sat down neatly in front of his leader.
"Right now we're low on fit Warriors. I think we'll have Nettlefur take a Dawn patrol. The sun-high patrol can be led by Tangleweed, he should just take Dawnpelt along. As for the sun-down patrol, we'll need to have those cats again or you could take it if you like. I'll take out both hunting patrols if that's alright with you." It was organized enough, hopefully more warriors would be ready soon. He hoped so - it was nearly the full moon.
His eyes met with Silverstar's as he waited for her comments.

Silverstar listened intently while Leafscar spoke."Sounds good to me" Silverstar replied. " I can take the sun-down patrol" she added. "Anything else to report?" she asked. She sat down and started eating a mouse while she waiting for leafscar to reply. While she waited she was thinking abou the warrior situation.

"Nothing other than a little rain and some other cat scent near the Mountain in our territory. Most likely one of those concieted rouges, I'll tell the Clan to chase them off." The deputy pressed his forepaws together and sat up straight then added. "Unless you want to annonce it yourself, of course."

"It doesn't sound like much to worry about. Go ahead and tell . But if the rogue becomes a problem, tell me" she said. She didn't want to get the clan all worried about something that could be nothing." Just make sure the patrols go by the mountain to try to chase the rogue of our territory".

Leafscar bowed his head and padded into the camp's central, then followed the tunnel to the Warriors Den. He meowed loudly, "We have suspicious of a Rouge in the Territory - if you take a patrol out tomorrow that goes by there and you see him or her, chase that cat off and remind them never to come back!"
The tom's fur was hanging off of his body smoothly as he watched the reactions of the Warriors. His eyes traveled over to Dawnpelt, in a questioning way. Perhaps she has seen the Rouge.....

Tangleweed had not moved to see his sister, he was giving her her own space. Instead he had continued to groom himself as his fus was still sticking together in clumps where it was raining, he looked much better now. As Leafscar exited the den he smiled at the deputy and listened to what he was saying. Nodding in the correct places, he threw a glance at Dawnpelt thinking the same as the deputy. Did she already know about this rogue?~~~~~~~~~~ Dawnpelt looked up from her grooming as Leafscar made his announcement and hesitated, she wasn’t sure whether to go out into the camp. She stood up, her grey pelt looking reasonable and padded out of the den. She thought it would be rude not too.
As the deputy made his announcement about the rogue her heart skipped a beat, Oh no! They have scented Maverick! A sense of dread washed over her face, what if they scented him on me too? she didn’t think they had as they had not said anything to her, but there was always that chance.

Leafscar sighed and let his paws take him into the center of the Warrior's den. He curled in his moss and his tawnyfur fell with him. He needed much to think about, sleep would come to him easy today.
His eyes fluttered until they closed completely. StarClan didn't call him into darkness immidiately, but it was soon enough. The only sound he could hear was his own breathing and a soft meowing in the distance....

As Leafscar padded into the den for a sleep Dawnpelt remained in the center of camp. She did not want to go in and risk having to explain herself to the deputy as well as the leader. Instead she padded over to the fresh kill pile and picked out a small Chaffinch.
As she reached the spot that the senior warriors ate at she stopped and sat down to eat, her grey eyes still clouded with worry and her own thoughts.
Tangleweed saw her go and decided he should go for some rest to. Even if Dawnpelt wasn’t tired he was, and if she wanted to be distant from him then so be it. As long as she spoke to him things should be alright between the pair.
He followed after the deputy into the warriors den and curled up in his own pile of moss to sleep for a while, he knew that he may be asked to lead a patrol soon so he had some sleep to catch up on.

Nettlefur had awoken in time to hear the deputy's announcement and her fur bristled slightly at the thought of a rogue on TreeClan territory. Snorting in contempt, she watched Leafscar pad back into the warriors' den before padding over to the fresh kill pile. Picking out a vole, she looked around and spotted Dawnpelt, padded over to sit beside her with a little space between them. She didn't really say anything at first, just took a few bites of vole. She was ready to lead a whole patrol out against whoever this rogue was.
"What do you think about this rogue situation, Dawnpelt?" she meowed quietly, "I don't like it.... Rogues should know better than to come tramping onto our territory." Though, she knew it could also be a loner, perhaps that Maverick cat from the mountains... the Tribe. Most cats in the Clans didn't really mind Maverick, even if he was on their territory, so long as he wasn't hunting, anyway, "Do you think it really was a rogue?"

The grey she cat was to lost in thought that she didn’t notice Nettlefur come and sit beside her. She took a small bite out of her chaffinch and then looked at the warrior beside her, a little startled. ’You scared me a little then!’ she mewed quietly to her.
As she began to talk of the ‘rogue’ in the territory she felt her cheeks blush. She wished the clan would stop talking to her about it, she was getting really worried about Maverick and the secret they shared. She looked away as soon as possible, trying to hide her flushed look. ’I don’t know… he shouldn’t be there I guess…’ she meowed still not looking at the warrior beside her. ’It might not be a rogue at all… maybe they scented wrong?’ She was desperately trying to sound like another concerned member of the clan, but she was finding it hard because she wasn’t. She knew it was Maverick and that he was no threat to them, but she couldn’t tell them how she knew.

Nettlefur took another bite of her vole, thinking a little, "It might just be some oner passing through or something...." She took another bite and took a while to speak again. Thinking, she had met Maverick upon two occasions, and he seemed respectful enough of the Clans and their ways, even though she knew he must not understand them. Afterall, he was a Tribe cat. Her parents had told her about the Tribe and how different they were. Maverick passed by on every Clan's territory every once in a while, and no cat really seemed to care.
Personally, she didn't really like thinking about some outsider on her territory, but if the Clan was fine with it, then she supposed it didn't really matter. And, he had promised not to hunt... that made Nettlefur feel a little better about it, "Well... I hope we figure it out soon. I would hate to worry over nothing for days on end...." She flicked her tail out of slight annoyance, but let it go.

Dawnpelt seemed to perk up a bit at Nettlefur’s words. ’Yes that’s it! It must just be a passer by!’ she mewed, maybe a little too happily. She took a bite out of her chaffinch and her thoughts were brightened slightly, it seemed at least somebody else wasn’t too worried. Don’t the clans know about Maverick anyway? she thought to herself, now she thought about it she had met him in Treeclan territory and had not attempted to chase him away so the clan must be fine with him being there! But maybe not them together.. she thought.
’Yea…’ she mewed not meaning it. Her bad thoughts creeped back again, if they did get to the bottom of it that could potentially mean finding out her secret. Her grey eyes clouded a little, there is no way out of this… she mewed finally admitting it to herself. She knew her and the unborn kits would be hated by the clan. Not to mention they would possibly no longer trust Maverick in clan grounds… her eyes began to water slightly, however a tear did not run down her cheek. I’m not only going to be ruining my life in the clan… but his freedom to wander where he wants…

FF>> Leafscar's sleep was interupted by a blast of Sunlight. He woke up to see that it actually wasn't really bright out, but he was the first one up. The tawny cat sighed and stretched. His muscles flexed and rippled beneath his pelt and he padded up to Nettlefur and prodded her.
"You can take your patrol out now," He meowed soft enough so not to wake up any other cats.

Nettlefur was prodded awake by the deputy and sat up, blinking sleep from her eyes, "Right." She stood and arched her back in a stretch, not bothering to groom at the moment. She wanted to get her patrol out to see if that rogue or loner had been around. Turning to look for some cats to take with her, she walked over to Dawnpelt and prodded her gently, "Hey, Dawnpelt, why don't you come with me on the dawn patrol? We can see if that rogue's been sniffing around on our territory." She stepped back to wait for Dawnpelt to get up.
