The warriors den was silent except from the breathing of the other cats as they slept. It was pretty late in the evening and the moon was beginning to rise into the sky, making the things around the cats glisten.
To the edge of the cats lay a large grey she cat. Her pelt silky smooth after the long grooming she had just done, she was still licking her paws with apparent concentration, as if she had something on her mind. Dawnpelt pricked her ears as an owl could be heard in the distance and stopped her grooming with a small sigh. She had a lot going on at the minute, many secrets she could not even tell her brother who lay beside her, his thick brown and white pelt touching hers. The two had always been close since the death of there other two siblings and had done everything together. However, even this secret she did not think that she could tell.
She layed her head on her paws, she could not think completely straight, her had was in a whirlwind of thoughts, mainly all leading to the same thing. The betrayal. Dawnpelt hadn’t been doing extra hunting for the clan when she said she had, instead the senior warrior had been leaving the clan territory to enter into loner territory where she had met the cat she had dreamed of for awhile now. Maverick had become her mate. What am I doing? I can’t keep leaving the clan! Someone will find out, they’ll see me or scent Maverick on me! all of these thoughts haunted her each night after her visits. One thing however bothered her the most, the fact that she was now pregnant. She knew she was not too far into the pregnancy and was not yet showing, but how long would it be until she was? Then what would she say when they asked who the father was? They would surely be able to figure it out in the end. She hadn’t yet spoken to maverick about her situation, but she knew she would have to do it very soon. Although she knew there was nothing he could do, only support her.
As a snuffle came from beside her she was snapped out of her spiral of thoughts. Tangleweed woke up and looked at Dawnpelt, after growing up with her he found it easier than most to tell when something was bothering her. Although he was still half asleep he sat up and licked his chest fur before looking into the she cats grey eyes. ’What’s wrong?’ he asked in a whisper, trying not to disturb the others around him. He licked her cheek comfortingly and then looked back into her eyes with his own green eyes.
Dawnpelt shook her head making the grey fur ripple. ’Nothing…’ she lied to her brother, it was the first time she had ever done so and she felt guilty, but the moment he found out so would the rest of the clan and it may be the end for her life in Treeclan. ’Go back to sleep.’ she added and laid her head on her paws and closed her eyes, she knew this way she could avoid any other questions. She was not sleeping though as the thoughts came flooding back to her. Tangleweed knew she was lying but decided to let her rest as she closed her eyes. He licked her on the head and then placed his own head on his paws, but he did not go to sleep, he was trying to work out what could possibly be bothering her.

Fidgeting, Leafscar opened one of his dark green eyes. A light sleeper he was, but the soft mewling from closer to the outer den began to cease, and he once again closed his eyes.
It seemed all too soon, but light streamed through from the camp entrance, waking him from slumber. The large tom got to his feet, only a few warriors had left so far. He padded over to Tangleweed, carefully avoiding the bodies of sun-high sleepers, and prodded him awake. "Do you want to go on hunting patrol with me?" He mewed quietly.

As he noticed the fidgeting in one side of the den through the corner of his green eyes he turned his attention to Leafscar, leaving his sister Dawnpelt alone for awhile. He smiled as the warrior came over, ’Hello Leafscar,’ Tangleweed mewed happily.
At his question Tangleweed looked back to Dawnpelt, the grey she cat was definitely being troubled by something, but he did not know what and it was unusual for her not to tell him. They usually shared everything with each other; they had done since they were kits. As far as he knew she was asleep so he licked her gently on the head and stood up to his full size beside Leafscar. ’Yea sure, why not!’ he mewed in a sigh, there was no use him hanging around with Dawnpelt if she was not going to speak to him.
The grey she cat sensed movement beside her but did not open her eyes as Tangleweed stood up and spoke to Leafscar. Dawnpelt kept her eyes tightly closed and remained still, as if in a deep slumber. ’What am I going to do?! she asked herself desperately thinking of a soloution, but none came to her, and she didn’t think it ever would.

[glow=red,2,300]Sorry! =/ I was just going brain-dead! It's modified[/glow] The tawny cat padded into the center of camp, the sunlight streaming through the entrance. He stretched out his paws in front of him, far as they would go. He then flexed his claws, and sheathed them again. The morning air was always nice mixed in with the scent of TreeClan cats.
He picked up his paws and went a little farther, now out of camp and into TreeClan territory, he lifted his nose to scent the air. He caught many smells of prey and fresh-kill. He purred to himself, then turned his head over his shoulder to look at his companion.
"So, Tangleweed, where should we start? Mice, Voles, Shrews, or Birds?" Leafscar meowed.

[[Now worries! =)]]
Tangleweed followed the tawny Leafscar into the center of camp, it seemed like a nice day as the sun shone into camp. It felt so fresh and was definitely refreshing on his long brown and white pelt. He smiled at the site but could not help but turn back to look at his troubled sister as she laid, a pile of long grey fur, in the warriors den. He turned back the Treeclan deputy with a sigh and padded after him into the territory beyond.
As they went deeper into the territory the scents of prey lingered to his nose, he scanned the clearing with his green eyes. The sites before him were as they usually were, beautiful leaves scattered the forest floor and birds could be heard in the tree tops.
Tangleweed snapped out of his day dream as Leafscar spoke. ’I don’t mind where we start. Whatever you want to do,’ he mewed, he was not bothered at all, on a day like this anything seemes alright.
Dawnpelt lay still in the warriors den as Leafscar and her brother, Tangleweed left for a hunting trip. She opened her eyes as they left and peered out of the den. She sat upright giving her chest fur a few licks before standing up with a sigh. I need to go and find Maverick, she thought to herself as she left camp.

"I'm going to see if I can catch any squirrels, they're usually everywhere in Greenleaf," Leafscar meowed. He scented the air again, and began padding quietly in the direction of the newest scent. His paws cleverly evaded twigs and branches, until the animal was within his sight.
He lifted his tail up slightly, checking he wind. After being certain he was undetected, the tawny warrior leapt from his concealation onto the creature. It darted for the nearest tree, but not fast enough as Leafscar's claws grasped it's body and his fangs sank into it's tail.
He quickly delivered the bite to it's neck. The tom picked it up and looked for Tangleweed's white and brown pelt.

The large brown and white tom cat smiled, ’Alright then,’ he mewed as the deputy padded off in pursuit of the prey that was most common in Greenleaf. Tangleweed opted for mice; they were his favourite and could be found just about all the time.
He padded off in the opposite direction to Leafscar. He could scent a mouse nearby so he dropped into hunting crouch, his senses alert for any noise the mouse might make. As he pin pointed his prey he sneaked in that direction, he failed to check that his scent was blowing the opposite way and the mouse must have scented him. It stood on its hind legs and began to run, thankfully Tangleweed was already in pouncing distance and managed to catch it at the last minute.
He lifted his mouse proudly by the tail and padded in the direction he had come from. He wondered whether Leafscar would be back with a catch yet as he scanned the area for the tawny warrior.

Leafscar's eyes spotted Tangleweed's before he saw the tom's pelt. The deputy padded over to him with the squirrel in his jaws. He set it on the ground, and covered it with earth. The tawny warrior flexed his claws into the ground and purred. The sky was clear for now, but the scent of rain flowed into his nostrils.
"Today seems like a pretty good day. Right before the rain, we should get some more for the Clan and head back. Oh geeze, I guess that was kind of obvious...."
The tom fluffed out his fur and laughed. He crouched down to the ground again, and scented the air for more prey. The freshest seemed to be a rabbit; he stalked to where he traced it, his eyes completely focused.

As Leafscar spotted Tangleweed his scent drifted to him on the cool, somewhat moist breeze. It seemed to be bringing rain with it. He laid his mouse beside the tawny deputy and did the same, covering it with a small amount of dirt to hide the scent from others and to return to later.
’It does seem like a very good day!’ Tangleweed agreed in amusement at the deputies words, ’Yea, let’s get as much as we can!’ he added before stalking off after the scent of a sparrow in the direction Leafscar had followed for is squirrel. He hoped he would not have a lucky catch this time as the wind was on his side.
As he neared his prey he got into the crouch he new best for bird catching. The sparrow was in a low branch of a tree, singing in the coolness. Tangleweed took his opportunity to strike, he bounced on his two rear legs and reached for the sparrow with his front ones, clasping the poor bird in his claws tightly so it could not fly off. He killed it swiftly with one bit before carrying it back to the patch of dug up soil that was the squirrel and mouse.

Leafscar pounced onto the completely unexpecting rabbit, it was an easy catch, unlike some of his expiriences. The only problem was that it's mate thundered through the bushes, probably scaring other easy prey. The tom sighed, and picked up the fresh-kill taking it back to the pile.
On the way he managed to also catch two mice and lose a starling. He met Tangleweed while padding back to the spot were they had buried their last piece of prey.
He carried his share as he began padding back to camp, anxious to get back and deposit this prey. He scented rain before his jaws were burden with fresh-kill, he only hoped that it didn't fall before they were in the warm and safe log where TreeClan made camp.

After the dark warrior had brought his bird back to the pile he scented a mouse nearby and had took off after it. Catching it with ease and killing it with the points of his claws. He carried it back to the pile and unburied the prey they had caught earlier, rain was coming and it would be best to leave sooner rather than later.
As the deputy lifted his own prey Tangleweed did the same and began the journey back to camp, thankful that they had not come too far. Rain was definitely on the horizon, and by the scent was approaching fast. He did not fancy getting his long brown and white pelt wet as it always took forever to dry.
As they neared the camp entrance another thought popped into his head, of his sister Dawnpelt, he thought he caught her scent. Of course I did, she is in camp. he thought to himself simply. Unknowing that the grey she cat had in fact left camp.

Leafscar deposited his catch in the fresh-kill pile, digging out a smaller piece caught a day ago. He took the rabbit back near the area where the Senior Warriors ate, and began to tear through his meal. It was tough, but good enough as he had gone with only a piece every other day in the last leaf-bare.
The tawny tom licked his muzzle to wipe of traces of the rabbit. He scented the air to see who was in camp. He was surprised to find Tangleweed's sisters scent was stale probably from this morning.
He got up, and padded over to the Tangleweed.

Tangleweed too dropped his prey on the fresh-kill pile. He did not take any for himself, he was not hungry at the minute and would wait until a little later on when the rest of the clan had eaten.
He padded over to the warrioirs den instead of joining Leafscar where they usually ate. He wanted to see if Dawnpelt was still there, he had gotten worried about her after her strange behaviour this morning. I wonder what is wrong with her? he thought to himself, he couldn’t think of anything that could bother her this much, she lived in the best clan and they were at peace. When he saw that she was not there his chest fluttered with worry, but he knew it was not his place to know what she was up to all the time.
With a sigh he padded back out of the den and sat outside grooming a paw as Leafscar padded back over to him.

"Dawnpelt is gone. Her scent is stale, I know it's about to rain but I'll go on a search patrol if you'd like," The tom offered. He could already hear thunder rolling in the distance, knowing that both cats would probably be soaked. There was no avoiding the storm if they were going after her. The she-cat was a member of TreeClan, and the cats had to look out for each other.
His tawny ears flicked at the sound, he didn't like water as much as a RainClan cat, infact he would rather avoid it all together. But it was his responsibility to watch over the cats, one day he could be Clan leader. Treescar flexed his claws, waiting for Tangleweed's reply.

The dark brown and white warrior looked at Leafscar as he spoke, his eyes wide with concern. If Dawnpelt was out in this then she was going to get soakcd, and maybe hurt depending on how bad it turned out to be. He knew they should go after her, and as his sister that’s just what he was going to do!
’Your right, we should go after her!’ Tangleweed mewed in agreement, ’I can’t believe she has gone out in this!’ he added, a little disgusted at his sisters carelessness. There seemed to be something big troubling her, something so bad that she would not even tell her brother, the one she confided in for everything. ’Now?’ he asked with a glance at the sky, the clouds seemed to be building as they spoke and were fit to burst.
