24 Moons. Tom. NightClan.
⇒I'm bad behavior but I do it in the best way⇐
After that long, drenching storm, Bonetail couldn't stand to be trapped in camp any longer. It wasn't very 'NightClan' of him to like the day more than the night, but Bonetail didn't give a rat's tail about keeping up with stereotypes. Stretching at the camp entrance, he fluffed out his fur against the morning sun, feeling damp earth and sodden pine needles under foot.
Though he fancied himself a loner, Bonetail wasn't opposed to having some company. Especially if that company was a particularly striking she-cat; with a slow look back into the cavern, Bonetail's gaze lingered briefly over some of the sleeping bodies still huddled together. Eh, if someone else was going to get up (besides the dawn patrol), they would've by now.
Maybe with some luck, he'd bump into someone worth talking to on his way out.
Rather than hunt first, like the respectable warrior he was supposed to be, Bonetail intended to find some dry, warm rocks, or even a tree bough, and bask in the sunshine. It was a beautiful morning. With such a pristine, white coat, Bonetail wasn't too eager to go traipsing through the marshes after frogs. A puddle could turn into a sinkhole, and then he'd go for an unintentional swim, or worse, drown.
Trying to limit his contact with mud as much as possible, Bonetail set off for StarClan's Claws, already picturing the warmed stone under his paws and against his belly as he lounged.

Lilyfrost NightClan Warrior Let your heart be your compass, sweetheart Text "Speech"
A familiar smell caught her attention, thought she did not recognise the exact individual it was a Nightclan cat, what was up with that, usually Lilyfrost did the morning patrol, the smell of the pine forest a comfort to the young green eyed female. So what was another clan member doing out so early?
Nightclan was so called because of the clan's preference for the dark and most of the clan's colouring was darker, The most notable exemption to this was Redcloud, the clan's deputy with her ginger coat that shone like the sun. Lilyfrost's own name came from her cold demeanour and her secret love of the flower that bloomed in New Leaf.
As she approached the other cat, she recognised him as Bonetail, a white tom which to her, stuck out like a sore paw in the early morning's array of pinks and golds. " Morning Bonetail, my you are up early!" Lilyfrost's honeyed voice slipped from behind velveteen lips with all the amusement that sparkled in her bright emerald orbs.
Lilyfrost had heard of the tom before and she was sure she had spoken to him at least once in her life but the tom had clearly failed to make a lasting impression as the she-cat struggled to pinpoint an exact moment when they had spoken besides the passing nod and polite greeting.
Regardless, he may prove to be interesting company yet and Lilyfrost was indeed curious as to why exactly he had decided to come, Here of all places.

24 Moons. Tom. NightClan.
⇒I'm bad behavior but I do it in the best way⇐
Rare was the morning when Bonetail turned down an opportunity to make conversation with a beautiful she-cat. He took after his white-furred uncle, Spiriteye more than his father. Whereas others might see it as a fault, or a mark against him, Bonetail was content to garner attention for himself and stroke his own ego, rather than settle down or seek prowess in battle like all the others.
"I got tired of the darkness and the rain. This place is good for sunning." He mewed coolly, flicking a blade of grass off the end of his thick white tail. Bonetail stretched, languishing in the bright morning light, not caring that he stuck out like a dove in a flock of crows. "You're welcome to join me," Bonetail exercised an invitation, his bicolored eyes moving to the corners to see her in his peripherals as he stepped onto the rocks.
Without reverence for the area or their symbolism, the white warrior climbed to the top of the large boulder the leaders usually sat upon during Gatherings. Finding the driest spot possible, Bonetail laid down, purring contentedly to himself as he soaked up the rays of the sun. The rock was already slightly warm. Perfect. By sunhigh, all this wetness and muck will have evaporated with the heat.
Keeping one eye lazily trained on Lilyfrost, Bonetail entertained the thought that she would actually come over to relax with him. If she didn't, though, he was hardly going to lose sleep over it. Eventually someone else would come along who might not be so quick to turn down his invitation.

The warrior tilted her head as Bonetail replied in a voice that seemed unamused by her question and then much to her surprise, actually invited her to join him. The young she-cat paused for a second, surely the clan would not notice if she was gone a little longer, none ever noticed anyway, all to busy sleeping the day away. "Sure, I do not see the harm in a little social interaction" she shrugged, leaping onto a nearby rock, the warmth making her sigh in content before the bright green gaze fixed on the white male once more
" You are right, it is nice for sunning but I am curious, how do you keep your coat clean? it's so striking and bold compared to this place" She added, ever the polite conversationalist. He had invited her to join him, least she could do was provide some form on engagement, entertain the male for as long as his interest allowed.
She felt strange around this male, like she said one thing wrong and he would go off like a rabid fox but at the same time she had grown bored of the predictable reactions of the rest of the clan, and she would never admit it but she liked a little mystery in her life.

Finally someone who could appreciate the time and effort it took to keep a pelt like this clean. Dimstar accused him of laziness - and their Clan leader wasn't wrong. The price for looking this good all the time was getting away with doing the bare minimum or nothing at all. Preening under the attention, Bonetail's gaze grew lazy with satisfaction. "I try to stay in camp on wet days, and make a habit out of never hunting in the marshes." Bonetail preferred to catch blackbirds and sparrows that landed in the pine forest, rather than roll around in the muck and stink of NightClan's more... unsavory parts of their territory.
Rather than lie around and swap hygiene techniques, though, Bonetail introduced a subject change. Namely, the Gathering. "The Gathering is coming up. Think you'll be going?" It was one of the few things the stark white tom actually looked forward to; no one could get on his pelt about not doing anything. It was a social event, and a chance to hear news about the other Clans.
Now, Bonetail didn't care for politics. His sole interest was in meeting others, attracting the attentions of beautiful she-cats to give them a little angst they could go home with - bemoaning the sad truth that he wasn't in the same Clan as they were. Able to play the role of dashing young warrior well, Bonetail enjoyed putting on a guise. Being more than a little manipulative.
Licking one white-tufted paw, Bonetail brushed it over his face, ridding his appearance of any lingering dirt he'd somehow missed this morning.

Lilyfrost truly held no interest in the male's grooming techniques, her own pelt was a clean as could be, even in the murky environment she called home and when the white tom changed the subject to one of more interest, Lilyfrost lazily flicked her tail and locked her bright emerald gaze with the male's own, the multi colour of his eyes did not phase her in the slightest, she found him intriguing, a rare thing indeed to impress the stony hearted warrior.
"I do not know if I will be attending the gathering, I view it as a bit of an annoyance, after all why would I want to go to a place with clan member's I hate to exchange pleasantries with those I hate more from other clan???... No thank you" She spoke, her voice calm and deceivingly sweet. Lilyfrost was not the most social of cats, hense why she patrolled alone and even though it was very risky, she always enjoyed a bit of excitement.
However, NewLeaf bought a danger that not even Lilyfrost could ignore, Demon. That murderous thing had scared her one to many times with some close scrapes as an apprentice. Lilyfrost valued her life more than the rush of getting away from those lethal jaws.
Shaking her head to get rid of the thoughts of the hated monster Lilyfrost spoke once more " What about you Bonetail? wasn't Dimstar your mentor? I am sure he would want you there" She encouraged, subtly was not a strong suit of the young she-cats and though she was aware this may be crossing a boundary, she did not care.

Bonetail felt a thrill of intrigue travel the length of his spine. Lilyfrost was a cat worth talking to; she had a voice like poisoned honey, and she was picky about her company. He supposed he should feel honored that she was humoring him with a conversation at all - but that was neither here nor there. Bonetail smirked. He wasn't exactly a nobody. You'd be hard-pressed to find a better-looking tom than he, who was also the son of a famous (though tough and unforgiving) warrior.
His good mood was stifled, however, by Lilyfrost's mention of his former mentor, Dimstar. Bonetail visibly rolled his bicolored eyes. "I don't care what he wants," scoffed the tom. "You might think being a leader's apprentice is a prestigious thing, but it isn't. It means extra work and a mentor who drags you out of your nest at the crack of dawn." With the added threat of exiling him if he didn't cooperate.
No, he and Dimstar had never seen eye to eye. If anything, trying to get out of apprentice chores and manage the bare minimum of training had honed Bonetail's intelligence far quicker than his claws. He was a good play-actor, charming and manipulative. Bonetail stretched luxuriously. "Fortunately, he hasn't chosen me to mentor anyone yet." The white tom fixed his gold and blue eyes on Lilyfrost. "Mentoring is tedious."
Unless he got a helpful little minion out of it, Bonetail couldn't be bothered. The only cat he was interested in helping reach warriorhood, was Coyotepaw. His brother deserved all of his best efforts. It wouldn't even begin to make up for what he'd done to him...

The light grey coloured she-cat listened as Bonetail continued, this time speaking of being the leader's apprentice and how it was far to glorified. The female could not help but notice the roll of his eyes at mention of Dimstar and the slight contempt the male's words had as he spoke.
When he spoke again, it was about him not being chosen as a mentor, it was far to tedious in his opinion and Lilyfrost found herself nodding in agreement. She did not want an apprentice, the half grown mousebrains were far to annoying just waltzing around camp, she could never imagine being on of the poor souls that had to actually teach them something.
"I could never imagine myself with an apprentice, they are far to time consuming " She ,mused softly, what else was there to say but the truth of how she felt? Lilyfrost had her own life to figure out, she had no time to help some mousebrained appentice learn to be a respectable member of the clan.
"" There is mention of kits going around at the moment Bonetail, surely there is someone whom caught your eye?' Lilyfrost was being rather foward and blunt in her comments but she could not help the curiousity the male piqued within her. He was very handsome and those two toned eyes seemed to almost captivate her soul but she did not dare let it show. She would remain indigient until he showed interest and then she would give him just enough to keep him interested. She had no desire for a mate but she knew deep down, she did not want to be alone and having her own family would provent that.

Maybe it was the natural progression of the conversation, but all of a sudden the topic turned to kits. Bonetail's crooked tail-tip flicked, his eyes settling on Lilyfrost as she tossed an unexpected question his way. He smirked. Maybe I just have that effect on she-cats? In a Clan of predominantly darkly-pelted cats, his beautiful white fur, bright as moonlight, was both eye-catching and a source of envy. The Clan could use more cats like that.
"There might be." Bonetail replied, leaving just enough suggestion in his voice to imply it might even be Lilyfrost. He wanted to get a sense of her reaction. "If you think apprentices are hard work, kits look even harder. I don't envy queens. At all." Bonetail had no interest in being one of those overly-invested fathers. If he did sire a litter (and he probably would, Dimstar's breeding regulations be damned), he would leave their upbringing to the mother. He would have already done his part; apart from sharing grooming techniques and keeping them from ingesting anything deadly, that was the extent of his 'parenting'.
Bonetail didn't want to settle down. It sounded so... boring. Being shackled to one cat for the rest of his life. Better to have admirers. Better to be wanted by many than off limits.

When the male smirked at her question on kits, Lilyfrost rolled her eyes as he seemed to imply that he had his eye on someone. Lilyfrost's bright gaze slipped for a second, almost uncomfortable at they way he looked at her.
However the light grey female knew better than to thing it was her, she was not stupid enough to think that Bonetail would like her of all cats. When he spoke of kits being hard work Lilyfrost's ears perked and she met his gaze with her own, a smile tugging on her lips.
" If I didn't know better Bonetail, I would say you are afraid of the commitment kits bring" She teased, not enough to get him extremely angry but enough to remind him that she was not some starry eyed she-cat he could woo with a bat of his multicoloured eyes ot a simple swish of his ivory fur.
" Not that I could blame you and having kits would be against Dimstar's rules, but" Lilyfrost rose to her paws and leap with a swift elegant movement to the rock in which the male was upon. If he wanted to play the game, Lilyfrost would show him how it's played.
The light grey female allowed her fur to brush hs ever so slightly as she leened down to whisper gently in his ear " then again you don't care what Dimstar wants, do you?" she purred softly, her voice a mixture of seduction and mystery. Lilyfrost's heart was unattainable and she wanted the tom to know that.
Without another word Lilyfrost leapt down from the rock the male was on and with a flick of her tail and a wink she settled down on her rock once again. Acting if nothing had just happened.

Now she was openly flirting with him. Bonetail purred through a Cheshire-cat smile, and rose, stretching languidly across the warm stone. "More like I just hate work. But you're right," Bonetail swaggered over to Lilyfrost, and laid down beside her, letting their warm pelts brush together - white and gray. "I don't care about what Dimstar wants. I only care about what I want, and maybe even what you want."
She was interested in having a litter of her own, wasn't she? No she-cat just brought up kits without good reason. No she-cat brought up kits with him without phishing to see if he was interested. Bonetail's ego was thoroughly fattened, like a lynx in a forest with no natural enemies. This could turn out to be exactly the right kind of relationship. Being that there were almost no strings attached, and she clearly knew him well enough to be aware of his... proclivity for laziness.
If she wanted an indulgent, attentive, compassionate father for her kits, she wouldn't be asking him. That meant Lilyfrost intended to do most if not all of the work herself. That suited him just fine, and the fact that he would sire a little outside of Dimstar's stupid breeding regulations, was extra honey on the comb.

The female smirked softly as Bonetail responded to her flirting with a little of his own, then did something that surprised her and came to rest beside her, his pelt brushing her own as he spoke. " Do you know what you want Bonetail?" she questioned softly, a half smirk on her face.
Lilyfrost knew what she wanted. Relationships and matehood was never her style, but a litter of her own, promised that there was always someone there to love her. Someone there that will always care about the she-cat even when she was old and her beauty had faded so that tom's, like Bonetail, did not show interest anymore.
" When you figure it out darling" she purred sweetly, batting her bright emerald eyes at the male before she rose to her feet, allowing her tail to sweep under the male's chin as she walked away.
"Come find me" she whispered, pure seduction dripping off her tongue as she moved futher from the male Glancing back only slightly did the female wink and then turn once again to make her leave.
