We're gonna play in the dark till it's golden again.
If there was ever a time when it seemed that Lightningclan could use more trees, it was right now. The violent wind whipping across the Star Fields would have been enough to knock the young she-cat over, provided she were a few moons younger still. Yet as she was, she was finally an adult. Old enough to be a warrior, or at least she was at the age where she should have been a warrior but....
"It's just because Firestar's a little busy right now. Surely it has nothing to do with me. Though, maybe it's wrong to assume that it has nothing to do with me. After all, it is my skill and progress in training that is being measured." The shadowy feline huffed a bit, taking a seat on the soft grass, something that she rarely stopped to do when she was out on her own like this. She was usually far too intent on catching prey or practicing her battle moves. Sparsely did the apprentice think to stop and sit down for a while.
This though, she couldn't help but stop for. It was a consistent thought, buzzing in her head since she'd passed twelve moons of age without so much as a mutter towards the date of her ceremony. However, she'd made the mistake of allowing it to get to her and now she was past mere impatience, instead starting to fear if she would ever be a warrior. Not only that, but if she did become a warrior, would she even be a good one? Surely there had to be a reason why the ceremony seemed to be taking so long, maybe it was because she was doing poorly in her training.
It was at times like this that Batpaw wished dearly that she had someone with her. If only to help clear her mind of any worries she had and reassure her that she was doing well. Perhaps she truly shouldn't have left camp alone today.
