32 Moons Tom NightClan
Something had been bothering him for some time now. Coyotepaw had begun training again since the fox incident, and though Sunpulse had done his best to dive back into it as though nothing had changed... He felt the lie. Something was most definitely different, and the apprentice under his tutelage most definitely agreed. Sunpulse was aware of it with every glance Coyotepaw sent toward the ground whenever the pair went out training. Lying in his nest now, Sunpulse was running over his day, recalling Coyotepaw's near... Eagerness to escape at the end of the hunting session. Granted, today had not been the nicest of days, dark clouds looming overhead...
But there was something else on the young tom's mind. Feeling a desire to talk with someone (and he knew exactly who he wanted to speak to), Sunpulse rose from his nest with only a small shake of his pelt to dispel any clinging bedding. Quietly stepping around the forms of sleeping Clanmates, he made a beeline for a nest containing a particular black pelt. A golden tabby paw lifted to gently prod Hollystorm's shoulder, rousing her from the deepest of her sleep so that he might be heard as he leaned down to whisper in her ear.
"Hollystorm, the den is warm, but would you agree to flee it with me? Should you wish to escape the crowds, come and join me beneath the clouds." His voice was low, accompanied by another soft nudge of his nose against her cheek. Perhaps it was a little forward but... He was guilty of desperately wanting her to agree and join him. With his piece said, the ginger tabby backed away to weave around their sleeping Clanmates. He was almost painfully aware of the sleeping form of Blackwolf nearby. His only solace was that between himself and Hollystorm's father lay Ghostlight.
Once clear of his slumbering Clanmates, Sunpulse moved across the dark cavern known as their main camp. His paws carried him easily up the incline of the entrance, slowing only when the incline died to give way to relatively flat ground. The outside world was only marginally better lit than NightClan's cave; the thick clouds obscured all but the softest glow from the moon's light. It would seem that tonight I await more than one light. He thought idly to himself. But the moon's light is nil compared to one brighter still.
