Redstar
Redstar always did her very best to interact with all of her clanmates. It made her feel more connected and part of her clan, which she thought was very point. What was the use in being clan leader if she didn't even know her clanmates? Even so, it was a task that was easier said than done. Although he clan was one of the smallest in the valley, there still were a lot of cats in LightningClan. Maintaining some sort of a relationship with all of them took a lot of time. But there was one cat who she'd been meaning to speak to for a while, a cat who, coincidentally, took the same prefix as her.
Redscar was one of LightningClan's most promising young warriors, but her reasons for seeking him out were more than to just compliment him. There were other matters she wished to discuss with the young tom.
Drinking in a lungful of the damp morning air, Redstar paused in the entrance of her nest, revelling in the warm touch of the leaf-fall sun on her red tabby pelt. It was easy to take for granted the world around them, even Redstar fell into the trap, but every so often she had to remind herself to pause, take in her surroundings and just be grateful for the life StarClan had blessed her with.
The LightningClan leader stood there for several further moments before at last padding down the hill and into the centre of camp. The pale sun had bathed the clan in a golden hue, almost making it look as if it was glowing with light.
Stood at the foot of the hill, Redstar let her gaze rake over camp, her eyes picking over the pelts of her clanmates. She muttered a few greetings and kindly words to the cats as they passed, dipping their heads to their leader.
It was only when her gaze finally picked out an orange pelt not unlike her own that she began to stride forwards, weaving her way through her clanmates. A pleasant smile gracing her features, she drew to a halt beside him and naturally dipped her head. "Good morning, Redscar," she meowed lightly. "How are you?"
Regarding him with quite curiosity, she allowed him to answer her question. Only when he'd done so did she at last ask, "I don't suppose you'd be able to spare the time to have a talk with me? We can always head out into the territory if you like, it's too fine a morning to spend in camp I think?"
The amber-eyed she-cat inclined her head, orbs flickering over the young warrior curiously.
