~~Gentlebreeze~~Adderstrike~~
With the sun sinking lower into the sky, and the unrelenting heat of the day starting to waver, the evening seemed to be the perfect time to lay about and gossip until sleep took over the warriors of Treeclan. The sky was shimmering in mix colors of orange, purple and blue while the gently rolling breezes mixed the new scent of burt foliage with a fresher scent of rain that may have been heading in the damaged forest's way. The warriors who had been out scavanging for food, had found little, but the capture of the small amount gave hope that soon the forest would refill with the life that gave food to the warriors.
A beautiful white she-cat limped into the camp, her swollen belly pushed past the fire tourched leaves as they fell to the ground in scatters from her touch. Her ears were twitched backwards as she tried to keep as much weight off of one of her front paws as possible, while making her way through the camp. With a heavy sigh, the expecting queen sat down to take a rest, her trek through the forest had lasted almost all day, due to the fact that she was slowing down more each day. She had probably worried a couple of cats by her disapearance, but she couldn't stand being couped up inside the camp all day, let alone in the nursery where some of the cats were still trying to get her to move into. She stubbornly stayed in the warrior's den and tried to continue her duties.
Bright green eyes glanced up from her sore paw to look around, catching the sound of her brother, Adderstrike. Though she was sure that the harsh ginger tom had hardly caught her absence, he was still sour about him getting introuble not to long ago when he viciously attacked Pineneedle. Who happened to be the father of Gentlebreeze's unborn kits. Not like they were mates or anything. The tom had used the soft hearted she-cat to pass on his genes. Her attention was pulled away again as the deep, snarky voice of Adderstrike met her ears like claws on a rock.
"Brokensong was looking for you earlier... or so I assumed." Adderstrike growled lowly, his deep blue eyes glanced down at his sister's paw, since she was holding it off the ground. "You should really stop going out on adventures, you're bound to injure yourself more than just a paw." He tipped his head to the side. Though the two siblings were polar oppisites, Adderstrike genuily cared about his sister's welfare, he just didn't show it like how normal acting siblings would. He would say something bluntly, but to Gentlebreeze, it would be the same as a brother asking if she was ok, or if she needed help. The two were connected differently than most.
With a nod, the gentle white she-cat nodded her head, "Thank you Adderstrike." She let out a light sigh, pulling herself to her paws again, wincing slightly as she put pressure on her front paw, receiving a low growl from her retreating brother and he left the camp, on his way to hunt or freshing the borders of Treeclan.
