Blood on the ground, his famll frame tucked away to neatly but easily forgotten. Few cats that knew her by her old name and respected her as such were rare and hard to come by but a sympathizer called Gracklefire whom Shatani had resorted to asking for knowledge of the dead cat on the NightClan border. Gracklefire was hostile to 'Flarefang' which Shatani hated having to use her old name, but information was needed.
It had been a few days since she used that vile name and ever lasting memory of NightClan, flicking her tail lazily she moved a little around in her nest tucked into a little nook over looking the entrance of her cave, the birthplace of her son Zuma and the center her master plan of the down-fall of Ravenstar. Her eyes looked up as she heard the movement of her elder son Mosi and a snarl left her lips. "You better not eat that mouse, it's for your brother." She warned him, her voice dark and low, her son's dull amber eyes reflecting the fear he had for his mother. He nodded his head and looked over the smile pile of food, a tradition he remembered from his early moons in the NightClan nursery. There was a tiny bird most likely a capture of his younger sister, a large plump mouse and no doubt caught by his mother, she had an eye for hunting and killing mammals, his sister the act for the birds. He had only mastered killing small pitiful lizards, but frost still hung in the air and that made finding lizards nearly impossible which kept him at the bottom of the food chain within his mother's eyes.
He dipped his head and looked toward his sister who was elegantly eating a beautiful blackbird, careful to pick the feathers off the bird and line her warm nest with them. Shatani glanced toward her daughter with a noble gaze, appearing as herself a queen of the most noble birth, a warrior queen fit to tear down all who stand in her way.
Sitting up slightly she gave a curt nod as Mosi carefully and slowly never looking to far from his mother grabbed the bird before giving her a low and respectful bow of his head to his 'queen' he bolted toward his nest a cold little scrap of moss in the corner beside an exit route that seemed to forever twist until it came out on the back half of RainClan territory, but still rarely used and Shatani didn't have any problem with RainClan and seemed it was pointless to attack them.
The entrance of her home which was normally lit well by the sun in the later part of the day but it was broken up by the return of her son, Zuma. A warm purr filled her mouth as she sat up in her nest, her eyes gleamy only for her most prized child. "Welcome home Zuma" She purrped, flicking her tail warmly, her dearest son getting a few unwelcomed glares by his elder brother, but Shatani wasn't at the angle to see them just yet, but if she had Mosi's pelt would be covered in welts and blood in no time.
