After coming back from a mildly successful hunting trip Silentcloud picked up a mouse and walked towards the nursery to see Pyrelight and her kits, as well as the other queens to see how they were getting on. She gently pushed through the entrance with the freshkill hanging from her jaws, mewing around it softly “Is anybody just a little hungry?” She blinked softly once she was in the den, the bright winter days had left her a little snowblind and the darkened den was a huge change. She could honestly say she was blind for a moment and couldn’t tell who was in the den at all, however it wasn’t long before she realized Pyrelight was there and there were some kits as well but she didn’t take the time to count to see if all were present. She moved over to the queen and gently set the mouse at her paws, “Hello Pyrelight, how are you feeling?” She asked in a quiet voice.

When did all I ever think about are depressing things and sad endings? Pyrelight knew the answer to that, but she wasn't in the mood to admit that it had everything to do with Thornfang's death. It had been two full moons already, but she still felt as though her heart was a creature that had been skinned raw, every fiber of her being hurt with the depth of her grief at mention of Thornfang. It was only when she spoke of happy memories about him that this pain was dulled a little, and when she gazed upon her four precious bundles, her living mementos of the cat she had loved so much. Lost in thought, the cinnamon silver tabby queen had almost missed the arrival of Silentcloud, her soft hazel eyes swiveling to meet the bearer of a well-needed meal. "Thank you!" Pyrelight purred with gratitude as the other she-cat set the mice down at her paws, a slight hitch entering her throat when Silentcloud asked her a question she really didn't want to honestly answer. Worry over Falconleap's predicament had the she-cat kneading the earth in frustration and apprehension all morning. “Hello Pyrelight, how are you feeling?” "Oh...I am...fine," she said, that 'fine' sounding about as lame as she felt, her bushy tail soon wrapped around her paws as she rose into a sitting position, head bending down to take a delicious bite of the mouse. Pyrelight stalled for time to scarf down the mouse, only taking a little, as the rest would all go to her four kits, who were old enough to have solid foods. "Is anybody just a little hungry?”
Windkit looked up from the moss-ball she was wrestling, ears pricked forward in curiousity and amber eyes wide, "Meee!" she squealed, bounding towards the newcomer; a flurry of brown and white fur.
Skidding to a halt in front of the warrior. With round amber eyes, she gazed up at the she-cat, feeling a little in awe. She had light grey fur and black spots marked her back, as well as a long black stripe. Her fur was soft and medium-furred.
Windkit looked down at her fur. She was just a dull brown tabby, though looking up again at the she-cat, she was glad that she had her long, silky fur. She hated the cold!
"Are you a warrior?" Windkit asked, head tilted to one side in curiousity. She hadn't seen this cat before, so she assumed she was. Giving her just enough time to reply, Windkit piped up, "I'm going to be a warrior!"
Her gaze scoured the nursery for the moss-ball she'd been playing with earlier. The brown tabby she-kit dashed over to where it lay, half-shredded on the nursery floor, and picked it up in her jaws and returned to the pale grey she-cat.
"See, watch this."
Windkit let out a yowl of excitement and bit into the moss-ball. Pinning it down, she began shredding it with tiny thorn-sharp claws. Once satisfied her 'prey' was 'dead', she looked up at the she-cat expectantly, amber eyes glowing.

Something flashed in Silentclouds eyes at the response she got from Pyrelight, she knew that everything wasn’t as okay as she wished it would be. That’s all the answer was, a wish she wanted everything to be okay but it just wasn’t and Silentcloud couldn’t expect anything different from her. It wasn’t a moment after before she was glomped with attention from one of Pyrelights kits, Windkit, and she couldn’t help but purr at the excitement that the small fluff ball barely contained. “Why yes I am a warrior…” She said in a soft voice purring softly at the kits declaration that she too would be a warrior, “Well of course you are, you will grow up to be strong just like your mother…” She said with the same gentle purr she had been using the entire conversation adding after the kits hunting display, “Oh my, that was rather amazing I don’t think we’ll go hungry a day with you as one of our warriors.”

Pyrelight felt her heart grow warm with a mother's love and pride. It would be no surprise to anyone in and out of StoneClan if all four of her kits grew up to be fine young warriors. Though Pyrelight honestly wouldn't have minded if one of them became StoneClan's next Medicine Cat apprentice, hoping a kitten with an affinity for herbs might crop up in her litter to balance out the rest of the warmongering lot. "How has the hunting been? I heard Stormwhisper complaining earlier of a draft in the Elders' Den, so it's safe to say the temperature is dropping even further," said Pyrelight, striking up a conversation with the black-spotted she-cat. She wasn't trying to change the subject - just...satisfy some of the itch she'd been feeling, not to mention a desire to stay current on all things related to warriorhood. She loved her kits dearly, but being confined to the nursery with only her kits and her thoughts of Warhawk for company, she was aching to get out and socialize with the world. Anything to stop thinking about Warhawk, at least for a little while. She would never forget him, he was engraved in her soul, practically, but there was nothing wrong with...making friends, swapping stories, getting the chance to laugh again.
