On silent paws, Emberstar led her patrol to the LightningClan hunting grounds. It had nice to feel her clanmates following her into their territory. She felt important. The tortoiseshell she-cat got her first whiff of rabbit immediately upon entering the flooded grasses, which pleased her. It wasn't often that she got so lucky. She signaled the rest of the cats to stop with a flick of her tail. The cats around her stilled. Emberstar crouched down, trying to figure out where the scent was coming from. As she did so, the leader was reminded in annoyance of her ridiculous fur colour. It stood out like a sore thumb amongst the pale grass. When she pinpointed the scent's direction, Emberstar started creeping forward, until she caught sight of the creature. The rabbit tensed, as if he sensed danger. She immediately took the opportunity to push herself off the ground and take off after it. His reaction was quick, but the rabbit had a slow start. She easily caught up to it, digging her teeth into its neck. She gave her thanks to StarClan as the fight died from its eyes. Emberstar padded padded to her clanmates with the rabbit in her mouth.
