Something woke him up from a pleasant sleep. He'd been walking on a cloud. Bleary eyed, Icekit looked around. It was late, and he should go back to sleep. But it was night. And he didn't think that anyone noticed. Besides, he wanted to get a look at the stars. That thought cleared his mind of all others. Other cats said that they were very pretty, but he wanted to see for himself. He wanted to see if they were as good as he imagined. In the darkness, he hobbled to the hole where he could see light pouring through. He had eyes only for that. Stars...

A cool breeze blew through his soft kit-fur, causing him to shiver. His mother's warm nest would feel very nice right now, and he wished that he could bring it out with him to look at the stars. But that thought did not linger long, because he looked up.

Icekit's jaw fell open. He saw them, sparkling up there in the dark sky. They were beautiful, as pretty as he imagined. Perhaps even prettier. And there were so many. They spread across the sky as far as he could see. Clear blue eyes were wide and he turned in circles to try and see all of them. They were everywhere. It was incredible. "Wow," He breathed, and a grin formed on his face. He had to show someone. Running back into the nursery, Icekit prodded the first cat he reached. "Wake up! I have to show you something!"
