Back in camp, she couldn't quite pinpoint what thoughts were floating around in Eagletalon's mind before they had departed. Something had seemed slightly off for the tabby furred she-cat, but, she didn't bother the golden warrior with questions upon the topic. If he desired to ask anything of Frozenrain, he'd do so on his own without her pushing on it.
Occasionally, Frozenrain found herself glancing over in Eagletalon's direction. Not entirely for any one purpose alone. She was merely being observant, refusing to miss any changes in expression on her companion's part in hopes of slightly unraveling that mind of his. Frozenrain couldn't recall a recent event in which she'd truly been alone with the golden furred tom. From what she'd noticed, he had a good heart. This trip to the mountains with him would be a good opportunity to reveal if he was company Frozenrain was actually quite fond of.
She halted in her place, protruding her neck to lightly scan the air for any scent of prey. Frozenrain could have a tendency to get absorbed into her tasks, and this particular afternoon was no exception when it almost slipped the she-cat's mind she wasn't in this alone. Giving her utmost attention to Eagletalon for a brief moment, the tabby furred warrior cracked a grin. “Hopefully you'll manage to keep up.” Frozenrain stifled a satisfied purr, however, the amusement was laced across her expression enough so Eagletalon would likely catch on to her intentions with or without the purr.

The sights and smells were all equally captivating to the scarred warrior with the heart of an adventurer. It was an all-too-welcome break from camp and the images of hungry cats and meager prey piles, the scent of worry and bitterness nowhere to be found in this icily beautiful terrain. He brashly set out ahead, inhaling the earthy scents of sedge and lichen, moss-covered stones and of course, the chilly fresh scent of snow. The blustry wind looked as though it would be too much for a cat so sparse-coated, but Eagletalon hadn't seemed to notice it, his paws stepping through the white virginal snowfall as easily as he would've through tall grasses in greenleaf. Though hare was not the usual diet of a StoneClan warrior, it was all Eagletalon could plausibly hope to find here amongst the craggy, inclined terrain and the gently falling snow.
“Hopefully you'll manage to keep up.”
Eagletalon's sandy head swiveled to the left to look at his traveling companion, matching her pleasant teasing tone with a personalized chuckle, paws not missing a step as he jumped over a fallen snow-covered branch, tail in the air. "Funny," he mewed with a roguish gleam, "that was my line. What are the chances of us catching a few long-ears?" The end of the tom's statement went from humored response to an inquiry, with a slightly derogatory term for 'hare' thrown in just for kicks.

The she-cat's baby blue eyes fixated upon him, a soft quality glazing their captivating depths as she returned a much quieter laugh of her own. Not every cat was so open to the way Frozenrain tended to use her humour. The occasional feline could be seen taking minor offense, despite how incredibly kind-hearted her intentions would truly be. It was, in a way, refreshing to be in the presence of someone similar humour-wise. Although he hadn't necessarily responded with a sarcastic remark of his own, he didn't seem afraid to. But regardless, it was appreciated that the golden warrior wasn't inclined to constantly voice a comeback.
As Eagletalon's words returned to a more serious state, Frozenrain's expression soon mimicked. Soft indentations were implanted within the cold snow as Frozenrain's paws collided with the ground upon springing off from the fallen tree, swiftly collecting her posture before padding up beside Eagletalon.
The tabby furred she-cat scanned their nearest surroundings briefly, once again examining the air for any traces of the mammal's scent. A fainter fragrance was captured within the warrior's nasal cavities, her pale eyes snapping in the direction she assumed correct. If Eagletalon desired to be hunting rabbits today, they'd sooner have to begin following the pathway created by their small paw prints. “Thankfully, snowfall is accompanied by a small bonus.” Frozenrain jerked her shaggy furred head toward the smallest of paw prints inscribed within the fresh snow, It wouldn't be long before the faint tracks vanished from plain sight with the oncoming layers of snow planning to coat atop of the present layer. Approaching, Frozenrain knelt down to sniff the tracks more thoroughly. If they were lucky, the faint tracks would grow less so as they followed.
Turning her neck at a side angle to spare a glance at Eagletalon, she paused briefly to see if Eagletalon had anything else to add, or perhaps even objections. If not, she'd eagerly be advancing in the direction she assumed accurate. Hopefully, having this lead to a successful catch as to not seem like a bad choice on Eagletalon's part in deciding to allow her to join him.

She was right about that, though in Eagletalon's none-too-humble opinion, the downsides to snowfall more than outweighed any meager bonus they stumbled upon this leafbare. "You go right, I'll go left. If one of us doesn't catch it, we've gotta be really bad at this." Though his words were instructive, they were also laced with amusement in regards to the skills of two of StoneClan's finest warriors; they really would have to be terrible for their quarry to slip through both of them at the same time.
Trusting that their combined efforts would be effective, Eagletalon's posture changed with the same quickness as a ripple expanded in a lake, graceful and with no room for error, the movement as natural to him as breathing. It was truly surprising to see a cat of his ruggedness and brash nature actually traverse the landscape like a phantom rather than a senseless brute who would crash through every bramble, smack through every branch and kick up as much snow as possible.
On the contrary, if it weren't for the fact that Frozenrain was still in his sights, it was likely they both would've disappeared or lost track of each other through their sense of hearing alone. Stalking the left side of the hare tracks - they were too big to be rabbit tracks, and had the familiar oblong shape that was characteristic of a hare's back feet and the almost perfectly spherical prints of a hare's front paws - Eagletalon continued on. Inhaling deeply, Eagletalon tried to pick up the scent of sedge or sorrel, anything a hare would find appetizing, trying to locate the hare's food source and make an educated guess that that's where it was headed.

[style=float: left; background: url(http://i56.tinypic.com/jqjdld.jpg); height: 300px; width: 320px; overflow: auto; font: 10px Georgia; color: #1c191a; text-align: justify; padding: 10px;]Frozenrain couldn't disagree with the statement spoken by Eagletalon before they had parted ways to travel upon either side of the onward progressing tracks. The thought of a hare outsmarting the duo combined provoked Frozenrain's need for laughter, however, she knew far better than to make unnecessary noise while hunting. Her steps were light and airy, nearly soundless despite the soft crunch of thin snow beneath her weight. Her tabby features definitely blended into the frosty world better than Eagletalon's vivid gold fur did, due to the presence of white patches here and there. Although, the majority of her fur held varying gray pigments, therefore, still being semi-noticeable to the observant eye of their target.
The she-cat questioned which of the two felines would receive the opportunity of proposing the killing bite. If honesty was required to be voiced, Frozenrain would love being able to clench her jaws around the neck of their speedy target before the eyes of Eagletalon in hopes of impressing the golden warrior. The need to impress him wasn't fueled by affection, nor desire. Simply, Frozenrain being Frozenrain. She wanted the Stoneclan cats to know how vast her capabilities were. Eagletalon just so happened to be one of those Stoneclan cats.
The farther the duo traveled in intensely focused silence, the fresher the prey's fragrance grew. The smell was incredibly alluring, the idea of gifting Stoneclan with well needed prey energizing the thrill of the hunt itself. The she-cat was about to duck her way beneath a patch of concealed leaves, only for her pale blue irises to briefly scan over the grayish body of their target. She halted instantaneously, all movement freezing in a heartbeat's time. Her gaze drew toward Eagletalon, searching her surroundings for the golden warrior to assure he had noticed it as well.
The more selfish side of Frozenrain was oh so tempted to dive in for the kill shot in that very second. But, a knot in her stomach was hinting that she'd much rather watch Eagletalon in action first. Learn the ways of her companion's hunting techniques from a short distance. Her mind had finalized its decision, nodding her head ever so slowly toward the tom before pivoting to the left to approach from behind and hopefully force the hare in Eagletalon's direction. She glided effortlessly, her steps calculated precisely as to not cause a ruckus. Frozenrain reached a position in which she considered safe, a few more steps not being dared for they would put her in dangerously open site of the hare. The tabby furred warrior buckled closer to the terrain, haunches swinging to-and-fro in preperation for an accurate surprise ambush. A last second glance was spared toward Eagletalon to see if the tom was ready, before she released the built up energy to land merely mouse-lengths from the creature. Startled, it immediately began criss-crossing to find its escape route. But luckily, Frozenrain was able to block a path which lead away from Eagletalon, forcing the prey to scramble in his direction in blind fear.

Hunting hare was not like hunting birds or more challenging, birds of prey. He did not have to rely on the strength of a powerful leap or well muscled back legs for this sort of quarry; rather, Eagletalon found himself subsconsciously adjusting his technique and - there! Spotting the hare at the same instance that he smelled it's mouthwatering scent, the carnivorous creature almost forgot the presence of Frozenrain, save for spotting her hiding there beneath a patch of brambles and leaves, her tabby patterned coat sticking out against the snow. As for the golden boy himself, he had taken the precaution to roll in snow, which muted his rich coloring slightly, but for extra camouflage, Eagletalon was crouched behind a large snow-covered boulder.
Unless that hare had x-ray vision, it was impossible for the hare to detect them both. Careful to stay downwind of their prey, his gaze connected with Frozenrain's, and she sprang out of her hiding place, startling the prey animal into a criss-cross pattern that was a little tricky to keep up with, for warriors who did not hunt hare on a regular basis. Despite the speed with which it moved, it's direction - thanks to careful guidance by his partner in crime - was very obvious, the terrified animal headed right for the waiting claws of Eagletalon.
Though he was certain Frozenrain would've much preferred to make the kill herself, they didn't have time to squabble over who actually rid the hare of it's life, and thus the warrior swooped in out of his hiding place. Descending upon the hare on silent invisible wings of death, he bit into the back of it's neck before it could let out that unpleasant death scream that would alert everything else on the mountainside to their presence. A few scarlet drops littered the snow beneath their catch, and Eagletalon sheathed his claws, the hare dangling from his mouth as he did so. Setting it down, he purred, dipping his head in a pleased not to the she-cat walking towards him. "Well done. If you see another one before me - like you did just now - feel free to catch it and kill it yourself," these words were spoken with kindness, not agitation or anything negative. She had been smart in chasing the hare towards him, but he had enough confidence in her abilities that she probably could've pounced and killed it all on her own if they hadn't decided to hunt as a tag-team. Not to mention it was rude of him to hog all the fun.

She knew well of the abilities he had. Bordering impressed, Frozenrain's shaggy furred tail signaled with a satisfied flick before she began approaching, assuming the hare was now theirs to gift upon Stoneclan due to the successful bite delivered and the small trickles of blood highlighting the white background of snow.
His words were noted; acknowledged with a grin. Of course, she didn't expect to chase every ounce of prey in Eagletalon's direction. She had simply been curious as to how talented the golden warrior truly was. Frozenrain hadn't seen him engulfed in the action of a hunt for quite some time. Despite her thoughts, however, she didn't voice the opinions she had. “It'd be my pleasure.” She replied in its place.
Baby blue eyes spared a glance over the general body of the hare. If they could catch a few more of those... Frozenrain didn't even want to think about the excitement out of the possibility she'd further fuel its light. “And, well done yourself.” Eagletalon was nothing other than polite; a trait Frozenrain had grown fond of over her moons of life. Surely, the she-cat could offer her own mannerism.
Nodding to the tom, Frozenrain pivoted to begin the less intense search. The hare in which Eagletalon had killed still lingered amongst this clearing with a fresh aroma. They'd likely need to press further if they had any hope of continuing these success rates. And, Frozenrain was nothing other than determined to assure they did continue. Now that Eagletalon had done his part, Frozenrain needed to pitch in her own hunting abilities. It wasn't that she considered any of this a game. More so, a challenge upon her head... even if that did indirectly imply the same thing.

Eagletalon was quick to bury the hare, marking the spot with a few freezing cold pebbles, using the scent glands on his cheeks to rub his face against them, wanting to make it clear he didn't forget or lose so precious a bundle.
Glancing up, the sandy warrior looked through the snowy environment, the clouds overhead having all congregated together for another round, flakes fluttering almost poetically down to the ground. Overall he was very very satisfied that they'd caught anything, and the hare they'd snagged had been relatively plump for a creature in Leafbare. Though Eagletalon had a feeling this would be the end of their good luck streak. He didn't dare share this thought with Frozenrain - the last thing he wanted to do was jinx her.
It seemed though, that despite his good intentions and keeping it inside, fate had other plans for them.
While plodding through the snow, Eagletalon's head snapped up, his eyes wide as oak-leaves, the fur along his spine prickling with an ominous air. That wasn't the smell of rabbit. No, it was familiar, horribly familiar with a subtle, unusual tang in accompaniment.
Lynx!
Much like the hare from earlier, Eagletalon flew over snow-covered land, his nostrils flared wide, his tail fluffed, his eyes narrowed against the wind streaming past amber eyes as he quietly searched for Frozenrain. He didn't dare call out to her, he didn't want to alert whatever was lurking a few yards yonder that they were here at all. He saw it before he saw his tabby she-cat hunting companion.
It was a young lynx, smaller than Demon though no less of a threat; the lynx had smelled the rabbit they'd caught and killed earlier. With dread growing in the pit of his stomach like hot lead, Eagletalon's hackles raised, and he was fully prepared to fight this creature off for the hare if he had to. No way was he giving up their hard-earned catch!
Frozenrain, where the heck are ya? Glancing around wildly, Eagletalon crouched behind the same snowy rock from his time hunting the rabbit, only he was a hundred times more tense, the blood pounding his ears. Time would tell if he found Frozenrain first, or if the lynx did.

At the moment, the thought of other predators was seemingly absent from Frozenrain's mind. She was well aware of the possibilities, however, the gray-and-white tabby, for some reason, didn't expect any actual dangers to confront her and Eagletalon upon this particular afternoon.
Those thoughts were proven to be horribly false as the fragrance of a cat's true foe intoxicated the she-cat's airways. Her body stiffened, all movements becoming hastily still. Immediately, she desired to take cover and hopefully wait out the creature. But, what if she was already in its plain sight? Another thought almost instantaneously tugged violently at Frozenrain's heart strings. She couldn't selfishly flee from the fellow carnivore when her hunting companion was just as alone as she was. As dangerous as the return trip to Eagletalon could very well be... her mind was made up.
Promptly pivoting, Frozenrain ducked close to a concealment of foliage bathed in the fresh snowfall. Earlier, she had witnessed Eagletalon attempting to conceal his vividly bright fur colourations by caking the snow onto his own figure. Accustoming to the intelligence behind those actions, Frozenrain mimicked. Patches of the she-cat's fur were already sharing the same white quality as the snow, therefore, it blended suitably into her shaggy exterior of a coat. Satisfied, she began to motion forwardly.
Her baby blue eyes rarely processed a blink, refusing to be caught off guard by wherever the lynx would be lurking about. Her sense of smell revealed Frozenrain was heading in the correct direction, also briefly highlighting the fragrance of the lynx. It had been closer to Eagletalon than it had been herself. Immediately, protection instincts arose toward wanting to keep her fellow Stoneclan cats away from harm. But, it'd be foolish to so carelessly dash toward the golden warrior when a predator that posed a great threat could catch sight and take her running as a game of chase.
At last, Eagletalon was within the she-cat's view, standing guard by where he had buried his hare. Frozenrain was still beside the underbrush she refrained from departing with along her backtracking journey, hoping with all her might Eagletalon would notice she'd return safely. The gray-and-white warrior was about to sprint through the small clearing to stand beside Eagletalon, in the moment, wanting nothing more to mingle her fur with his own so he knew she hadn't been injured while they were momentarily separated. But, there was a very direct reason as to why Frozenrain remained put. The lynx was far closer than she would have liked. And, if Frozenrain took the chance of darting through open view... she could put not only herself in danger, but Eagletalon as well.
She spared a frightful glance in the golden warrior's direction, but her stiff, prepared-for-combat stance would have easily hinted toward far more brave, courageous emotions. Likely, the lynx had followed the hare's aroma in hopes of finding a meal in this Leafbare season. That much Frozenrain could relate to. The battle for food when snow covered the terrain was as hard for these beastly creatures as it was for the Clans. However, it was difficult to empathize the lynx when it would kill them openly if it meant soothing the rumbling hunger in their stomach. Her paws were placed so that if it happened to notice Eagletalon and near for the death strike, she'd be more than ready to leap forward and fight alongside her companion in defense. He'd do it for her, so, she'd do it for him.
Their current battle was simply the wait. Would the lynx dare take notice and fight for a chance at food? Or press onward? The suspense was enormous.

There were times where great caution must be exercised. There were times where caution must be thrown to the wind and the brash action of a warrior must be taken. This, unfortunately, was one of those cautionary times, doubly unfortunately, however, was Eagletalon reacting as though it were the latter rather than the former. A sixth sense picked up on Frozenrain's presence nearby, though she was downwind of him and covered in a light dusting of snow, he was sensitive to her presence. With Frozenrain's safety in mind and his own turned to confetti, Eagletalon snarled and sprang from the rock, hissing and spitting in true feline fashion, the strength summoned to his sinews, nostrils flared wide and heart full of battle fury.
It was a sight to behold, if it wasn't so stupid.
Eagletalon, for all his strength and power, was a little lacking in the intelligence department, but he'd survived tougher scrapes than this. The Lynx immediately hissed back, the larger predator's hackles raised, a threatening posture Eagletalon mimicked, the smaller battle-scarred cat stalking forward, claws unsheathed. "Yeah I see you, you big ugly ape! Come closer Fungusface, I'll give you somethin' to snack on!" His tone was mocking and upbeat, the blaze in his golden eyes was the tell tale sign that he was actually ENJOYING this exchange. The lynx lunged forward and took a swipe at him, but Eagletalon ducked and rolled, the snow coating his fur and brightening his eyes as he laughed wildly. "Oh is that all, sweetheart? This is too easy! You're hurtin' my pride!"
That was just his style. He was one of the least quiet warriors when it came to fighting in the whole of StoneClan, and likely out of all five Clans as well.

If that wasn't enough to fully heighten the blood draining from the she-cat's face, it surely was enough when his vocals exploded with a ruthless hiss that taunted the lynx into participating in their little brawl. Frozenrain was a mixture of thankful for his courage, and angry for the stupidity of putting his life on the line for... their meal, or maybe it was for her. In all honesty, it was the last thing on her mind in that current moment of urgency.
When the lynx sprung forward with pointed claws, the tabby furred warrior caught herself holding onto her breath for dear life, only gasping for a pump of air when Eagletalon successfully countered by dodging. Up until now, fear had her frozen in place. The intensity of simply observing a cat taking on a lynx having her wide-eyed and almost too cautious to participate. Almost.
She didn't know what on earth Eagletalon was getting her into, but, he surely wasn't going to be pleased to see her openly inviting herself into the lynx's range. Frozenrain was probably a little too confident in her abilities, allowing her stiffened stance to fully relax in what the lynx would likely assume to be submission. She cast a glance in Eagletalon's direction before her captivating irises flickered to the lynx to follow through on her plan. “Here here, kitty.” The lynx barely took the time to acknowledge her. However, once it did, she was immediately recognized as a much easier, satisfactory target to his fangs due to holding a less threatening, battle-hungry posture. The creature pivoted, no longer facing Eagletalon's direction. Now, would be the perfect time for him to cue in on taking advantage of the predator's newly exhibited lack of interest in him, now having the capability of striking the creature as it instead, focused on nearing whom was currently an easier target.

A sharp turn of his head pinpointed Frozenrain's location, and while he'd been prepared to feel relieved that she was safe, the tabby she-cat did something he hadn't expected. She'd jumped in! Unable to yowl out for her to get back, he was too busy ducking a hefty blow by the young, inexperienced lynx to say much of anything, his worry quickly evolved to genuine horror at Frozenrain's bold taunting. Here here, kitty.
Eagletalon hit the lynx like a freight train, the warrior having thrown all of his weight into the cat's flank and bowling it over, hissing, scratching and bighting, his blood infused with adrenaline acting as nitroglycerine. "Have you got a death wish or something?!" Eagletalon roared above the sounds of the lynx snarling and the flurry of snow tossed up in their struggle, a loud OOF! of the air being crushed out of his chest by the lynx rolling over on top of him accompanying his words. Wriggling out from under the maddened animal, he sliced whatever he could touch, hissing and spitting out thickly ticked fur. "I mean I make some stupid decisions - it's almost regular, but you - " he ducked another clumsy swing, which ended up nicking his ear. "-But one of us has gotta be the smart one here!"
Suddenly, the brash, reckless tom was flung back by the force of the lynx's back kick, the winded warrior landing with a loud 'whumph!' in the grass almost directly next to Frozenrain. He coughed and grinned, rolling back onto his paws, shaking his body free of snow and preparing to lunge back towards their adversary. He lingered back by Frozenrain long enough to throw her a cheeky wink, which was probably hiding a wince. "We all know I'm not the brains of this operation."

[style=float: left; background: url(http://i56.tinypic.com/jqjdld.jpg); height: 300px; width: 320px; overflow: auto; font: 10px Georgia; color: #1c191a; text-align: justify; padding: 10px;]It was apparent that Eagletalon hadn't taken the right idea from Frozenrain's taunting much like she would have preferred him to. Instead, you could say, she had been somewhat... offended by his lack of trust as he bowled into the lynx's flank to avert the creature away from its path toward Frozenrain. I have a death wish? Pardon me. Did you not just tackle a lynx? There were a few phrases such as this blocking Frozenrain's path of clear thought. Considering, the tabby furred she-cat that normally would be engulfed in a never ending cloud of worry for so boldly and obnoxiously bulldozing the lynx over was instead, frustrated with the tom for not allowing her to get involved. Two was always better than one in a situation such as this. It appeared Eagletalon didn't agree.
Despite the frustration sending butterflies adrift inside her stomach with the force of a tidal wive, it was all destroyed and replaced with the familiar pain of worry when the golden warrior was sent flying through the air to land directly beside the pretty she-cat with a harsh thud. His ear had been ripped somewhere in the brawl; clearly, she had been too distracted in her angered confusion of how to take his selfless actions to take note of when that occurred. And while Eagletalon's facial expression was all the most charming as he took the time to wink and inquire how he 'wasn't the brains of this operation'. Frozenrain responded with fury eyes in which she fixated upon the tawny furred feline. “I'd have to agree that you aren't the brains of this operation. You're going to get yourself killed battling out there alone! As much as I appreciate you're drive to keep me away from danger. I'm a warrior for a reason, and this? I live for this as much as you do.” Frozenrain had a lot more to say to the tom. And, even though her words could have brushed off as somewhat rude... she had meant them sincerely in hopes Eagletalon would stop babying her.
Her tail flicked once, shoulder blades rising and fall with her agitation before the she-cat elegantly glided forth to meet the lynx halfway – since during her rant it had already managed to recover, and begin nearing once again. Baby blue irises that were normally so open and inviting were now shielded by a violent glaze of hatred for the creature approaching with widened jaws. Frozenrain skidded hastily, pivoting to the right just in time to avoid the lynx's claws. Quick, precise movements danced to the flank of the small lynx, applying pressure to her haunches before releasing the power to spring forward and land herself on the creature's back. Immediately, her fangs greeted the scruff of the lynx's neck with such immense interlocking force, her tongue began to taste blood.
(OOC: Eagletalon can join in again, if he wants. Or, get mad at her from the sidelines. She's stubborn and wanted to get involved so she didn't feel completely worthless. :3).

"Have you ever fought a young lynx before!?" shouted Eagletalon, a sharp shake of his head to clear his vision scattering droplets of blood onto the ground, and watching her leap, with a sharp feeling of dread weighing down his stomach, right on top of the lynx's back. She's even crazier than I am! It wasn't that he'd doubted her abilities, or ever tried to make her feel like she wasn't good enough a warrior to tackle this thing on her own; honestly, it was just a desire to protect a Clanmate. Yes he was fond of her, but that wasn't his entire motivation; it would take one bite in the right place from a creature with bigger jaws than they had all four paws put together, and he'd seen such a thing happen before. When he'd been an apprentice, a young lynx had bitten the back of a friend of his, and not only had he crippled the cat for life, but the remainder of the cat's moons were short and agony filled. He did not wish that kind of pain on anyone ever again.
Not Fallingstar. Not Hailstrike. Not Frozenrain. No Clanmate of his would he ever just sit by and watch tackle a young lynx alone. If she'd wanted to join in, that was fine, he hadn't expected her to stand by for long, however, he would've preferred it if she'd let him take the lead with this one. Haunches shaking, Eagletalon let out a war cry and dove for the creature head on, slashing at it's gaping, fanged mouth, before ducking a vicious lunge and making one of his own. While Frozenrain was giving it hell from it's back, Eagletalon was planning to do the same with the creature's chest. Though he was almost little in comparison to this fanged menace, he was still strong, experienced, and merciless to those who threatened the existence of his Clanmates. Sinking his teeth into the creature's collar bone, Eagletalon latched on with his claws and hung on for dear life. Eagletalon grunted as the lynx went berserk from their combined attack, rolling and slashing and screaming at deafening levels of fury, Eagletalon's ears pressed flat to his skull to lessen the impact.
If we both make it out of this alive - and that's a big IF - I might have to just ask her out on a date!
She had guts, he'd definitely give her that.

Her pale blue eyes fixated upon the nearing presence of Eagletalon whom had clearly decided to involve himself in the action, this loss of focus almost causing one of the lynx's ruthless movements to fling the she-cat off from the fellow carnivore's body. Attempting to not let the worry toward Eagletalon facing possible injury while attacking the creature's front overwhelm her sense of willingness to fight, she dug deeper into the lynx's valuable neck. The tabby furred she-cat's jaws were so overly inclined to overpower the menacing beast, tearing the fur gripped beneath her fangs in every which direction to assure the lynx faced a painful battle if he were to come out as victorious against the two Stoneclan warriors.
At last, it seemed the lynx had experienced enough of having the two troublesome cats upon his body. A final yowl of agony erupted from the creature's vocal chords before he so violently shook his body that Frozenrain was unable to maintain her grip, regardless of such profound effort. However, she managed to drag her pointed claws down the length of the mammal's body upon her descent to the ground. Quickly, Frozenrain found her footing, approaching slyly from behind as she began to nip monstrously at the lynx's hind limbs while the predator continued his vast attempts of be-ridding with Eagletalon's grip. Frozenrain had chosen the wrong time to powerfully interlock her small jaws around the skinny left limb of the young lynx, because, that was the same moment it had managed to wriggle away from Eagletalon's sharp claws.
In a heartbeat, the lynx twisted his body and raked his claws against Frozenrain's front, right leg. Her eyes widened with the unexpected, though minor injury inflicted, doubling backward hastily to meet the lynx's annoyed, yellow stare. The creature released a horrific growl, taking a step closer as if it planned to continue this torturous fight. Although, the nearing action on the lynx's part was soon followed by a wince due to the injuries it had inquired. Thankfully, the creature pivoted and fled.
Frozenrain sighed deeply, lowering her chin to spare a glance at the cut on her leg. It wasn't so badly injured to the point it stung to apply pressure while walking, more so, just a minor throb that at the most could use a spiderweb or two. It wasn't anything too worthwhile to fret over. If anything, Frozenrain had gotten extremely lucky that the animal's claws had struck to her leg and not a more vital body part. Now, her attention was upon Eagletalon. She blinked cautiously, somewhat expecting the golden warrior to lecture her about how she shouldn't have gotten involved, and now because of it, her leg had been struck. “We should probably take the one catch we made back to camp. It's too risky to venture much farther.” She turned her head over her shoulders, glancing at the path just moments earlier taken by the unlawful lynx.
