The Wanderlust
[attr="class","charactertext"]
The first attributes likely to be observed would be his adorable, plump, and round countenance, followed by his enticing spheroidal gaze. It's challenging not to share his intriguing chasms, possessing sectoral heterochromia in his left eye. By looking at his right eye, his eye color is speculated to be a fascinating and vibrant orange, which is also seen in his left eye. However, a remarkable cerulean crosses the center of his left eye in his left eye, splitting the orange and blue in half. Pumpkinpatch is primarily white, with a muted chocolate patch on the left side of his crania, beginning from the rear of his ear to merely above his split-colored eye. The second chocolate patch starts from the center of his spine, just below his shoulders, wrapping around the left side of his chest. The last patch is his tail tip, primarily covered in alabaster. The tomcat might appear relatively smallish from afar, though he is a moderately average-sized feline, surpassing few cats, while others loomed over his more diminutive stature.
Pumpkinpatch is not any ordinary cat, regarding his history and the overall aura he possesses. The first thing most notice is how captivating he is. The molly harbors an unusual charm in most cats' hearts, deemed a people-pleaser. He consistently offers compassion and comfort if necessary, effortlessly socializing with other individuals without a second thought. The bachelor prefers to communicate accurately, with morals and respect; he discovered conversations flow more smoothly, sounding persuasive and engaging. It's not challenging for Pumpkinpatch to express himself. There's no doubt he's exceptionally eloquent, regarding his passion for speaking fluently, making it uncomplicated for others to comprehend. It's practically implausible that Pumpkinpatch would dare lie, as he's probably one of the most honest and loyal warriors anyone could meet. Despite being a former kittypet, he still believes in StarClan, and he'd loathe disregarding any restrictions he'd formally pursued. Pumpkinpatch isn't an airhead, as he's quick to make decisions and provide rational answers before resorting to something impulsive.
The tomcat cherishes his dense, velutinous pelage, which might appear transparent from scrutinizing her. He is elegant in just about any form. Pumpkinpatch isn't just dapper in his looks; it's how he expresses and carries himself. He has a delicate, casual voice with an extensive vocabulary. Pumpkinpatch isn't foul-mouthed or irrational in the slightest, as he follows moralistic values, preferring to be proper and polite toward others whether they're bitter or not. Pumpkinpatch attempts to agree to disagree with avoiding potential arguments or conflict. Pumpkinpatch isn't the most engaging feline at first, as his persona is relatively progressive over time. He prefers her solitary life, though delighted when others wish to talk to him. If he says little, he assumes that might keep individuals away. He's ingenious for his age, which strangely draws attention to him. Toward those he's familiar with, he's likely to make quick-witted sarcastic remarks, never intending harm with his words. He occasionally makes venomous, caustic retorts or commentary toward anyone he believes is untrustworthy.
Upon any first introduction, Pumpkinpatch appears meek as he wallows in the shadows, despite his vibrant, alabaster pelage. He is severely cautious with strangers, as they're technically unwelcomed until he can prove their reliability. How? They must earn his trust, but he may remain a few tail-lengths away. He never gets too close. Pumpkinpatch is tolerant for the most part but quickly becomes agitated and intolerant with felines who disrespect him or anyone amidst her. He hardly hesitates to dismiss those he wishes to disregard, inclined to squabble if necessary. While Pumpkinpatch is brilliant, he has a moderately nonchalant attitude, somewhat contrasting and deceiving. He has a very calm, lowly harmonious, and breezy voice that is delicate to the ears. Although Pumpkinpatch portrays a confident, mellow feline, in his depths, he was particularly timorous. He has mustered a lot of courage in the past few moons to bypass her overwhelming anxiety, striving to deplete her apprehensive mentality. He was fearful of a majority of cats due to the experiences he's had in the past.

Backstory
WE ONLY ACCEPT THE LOVE
WE BELIEVE WE DESERVE
WE BELIEVE WE DESERVE
◉ BIRTH
It all began with a kittypet far across the valley named Dragonfly. She was the future mother to Pumpkinkit and Carrotkit, mate to Frosteyes, a LightningClanner. The molly was born with twolegs, which hadn't entirely existed in the eyes of the Clans, or those born outside of them. The Clans didn't even know about twolegs nor kittypets, in general. Dragonfly was a well-behaved, friendly she-cat who was abandoned by her twolegs because they were moving and didn't feel the desire to overlook her any longer. She remembered being taken into this monstrous thing, which had made her toes vibrate, listening to the growling below (AKA a car or monster). In motion, she began to yowl and shudder, unsure of where she was headed. She recalled her feminine twoleg pressing her face against her soft, plump cheeks. The woman appeared resentful as the man crossed his arms, seeming to raise his voice which had caused Dragonfly to scramble and thrash out of the woman's arms. The she-cat didn't understand, picking up her paws and sprinting.
Dragonfly ultimately felt betrayed, finding herself journeying for days on end, pausing in between days to rest and meander during the night. She would make sure to attempt to hunt, refusing to starve. She had known this was instinctual for her, but she didn't entirely grasp the concept at first concerning her pampered life. It wasn't before too long that she'd caught a mouse, selecting to feed on the smaller rodents until she could hunt sufficiently. Dragonfly hadn't even thought to remove her collar, as the long-haired, gentle twoleg had given it to her when she was a young kit. She figured this decision had nothing to do with the woman who brought her home, eventually discovering herself wandering through a vast valley. She was overjoyed with the pleasant environment, deciding to stop and hopefully find somewhere to live safely. Amid her new life, she encountered a tom, who instantly bonded with her, whose name was Frosteyes. He was a handsome white-furred tom with tawny patches in his fur, seeming to be some mixed breed.
The two constantly would meet at the borders, and Frosteyes had mentioned the Clans, which confused Dragonfly, and she didn't quite believe this StarClan. Fortunately, Frosteyes wasn't offended and wouldn't push his religious beliefs onto the damsel he quickly fell in love with. Eventually, over the next few moons, Frosteyes confessed his feelings, leading to their new relationship. It wasn't too long before the pair started a family, and two kittens were born one morning, Pumpkinkit and his sister, Carrotkit, named by their father, who had insisted he bring the kittens into the Clan. The forbidden pair, a former kittypet and a LightningClanner, who'd been a warrior, and Dragonfly, his mother, did not articulate the situation to her newly born kittens. Of course, Frosteyes hadn't even known that Dragonfly was a kittypet since the Clans had zero sense about them. However, the damsel's collar was questionable. At the time, it wasn't as if they were a reason, too, and it was melancholic that she'd eventually disperse from her family. Things weren't working out between Frosteyes and Dragonfly, despite their love for one another.

◉ KITHOOD
However, it wasn't long before the kits were taken into LighteningClan. Dragonfly permitted her kittens to feed for approximately two moons, concisely after their eyes had opened, and then Frosteyes returned. The two kittens officially met their father, gladdened that he'd been a warmhearted and whimsical sire, prepared to care for his children. Frosteyes watched as Dragonfly vanished into the woodland, considering the two had lost their chemistry due to the differences in culture and lifestyle. It was challenging to keep their relationship, and Dragonfly refused to join the clans, just as Frosteyes blundered to depart LighteningClan at what felt like such a wrong time. Frosteyes had brought the kits into the Clan's camp, as it was a part of the warrior code; no warrior can neglect a kit in pain or danger, even if the kit is from a different Clan. They were too young to protect themselves, and their father discussed with the leader that he'd named Pumpkinkit and Carrotkit.
◉ APPRENTICESHIP
Surprisingly, even upon the first arrival, the kits were accepted by others amidst them. It wasn't too long after they joined that their apprentice ceremony arrived. Perhaps it was because they weren't half-clan, typically scowled upon. It's more promising than a kittypet or half-clanner joining the Clan, as the two kits were loners before, considering their mother was technically an outside cat. It was nearly impossible to believe that the two kits weren't related to Frosteyes, regarding their incredibly round eyes and dense fur. Some warriors would gossip and complain that their father was disloyal and underhanded, causing the young felines to feel frustrated and disgusted that there'd been numerous restrictions. StarClan was an exciting concept, one that the two kits happened to follow. They figured it was wrong to break the code, especially Carrotpaw. Since their father had 'found' them, he was assigned to one of the apprentices, and Pumpkinpaw was fortunate. It made the bachelor less nervous about training, as he understood nothing about this lifestyle. Pumpkinpaw felt somewhat abandoned by their mother; why weren't they given a choice? Sure, he loved his father, but he didn't particularly like the idea of LighteningClan's limitations.
For the time being, he would speak to the Elders and his fellow apprentices, gathering as much information about the clans as possible. It wasn't unusual to witness the youthful tom communicate with warriors, exploiting them through an adorable grimace and naive questionnaire about the clans. Pumpkinpaw comprehended his parents' prior relationship, piecing why his parents separated. He despised the idea of Clan life even more, wishing to return to his original one. However, before taking him to leave, he believed the most intelligent and valuable decision would be to stay and allow her father to mentor him. The tomcat was determined to retain the basics of survival, even visiting the medicine cat's den to inquire what herbs do. He didn't often retrieve a response, feeling he'd have to teach himself once he was alone. When outside camp, during training sessions, Pumpkinpaw would scrutinize and identify herbs, occasionally questioning his father, who sometimes returned an answer he'd hoped for. Frosteyes would chuckle, encouraging her to learn anything he wished to. Having a father who supported him in all his decisions was relieving.
Pumpkinpaw's training sessions were simple and short, though he performed hard during them to lessen the number of sessions necessary. Frosteyes would give him demanding barricades and puzzles to figure out, constantly challenging his brain and physical movement. Eventually, Pumpkinpaw had explained to his father that he was ready to be on his own, which had initially confused Frosteyes. He was disappointed but proud that his son desired to pursue his own life. For the last moon, Pumpkinpaw spent time with his sister, Carrotpaw, developing a more empowering bond with his sister. He would remember to visit her in the future, to share gossip about the clans and his own life. It was going to be saddening to leave behind his family, but he'd vamoosed, praying that he'd see his mother again. It was almost as if Carrotpaw forgot about their mother or possibly hated her for leaving them. He had never questioned it, figuring it was a sensitive topic for the both of them.
Before he slept that night, he offered goodbyes to his father and sister, and later on, without a word, he snaked out of camp and trekked away. Luckily, the night's final patrol had returned not long ago, allowing her to leave without drawing attention or being located. Pumpkinpaw lived with the current name, wondering if he'd come across something that'd give him additional meaning in life. He didn't want to be assumed as a Clan cat, as he didn't believe it was his origins, as much as harboring kitty pet genes. By some miracle, the two stumbled upon one another in their travels. Dragonfly appeared to be passing through, just as Pumpkinpaw was. He would never forget his mother's words, "Oh, how I missed you, Pumpkin. I'm so sorry I left; I hope you can forgive me." And, of course, he forgave his mother that night. He missed her too, and he had no right to conclude his mother's reasoning for doing such. "But, you have a purpose back in LighteningClan. Find yourself, sweetheart, don't live the brutal life out here. It's dangerous."
That night, Pumpkinpaw decided to return to camp, finding himself back in the campsite at Sunup. His father questioned him about his return, explaining that he perhaps simply missed his mother, but he had a purpose here in LighteningClan and wished to pursue his life in the Clan.

◉ WARRIORHOOD
Pumpkinpaw hadn't earned his warrior name too early, as he wanted to take his training slow, so Frosteyes allowed for it. He earned his warrior name around sixteen moons, impressing his father with his tremendous skills in combat and climbing, discovering his instinctive dexterity in tracking. For such a soft, gentle-looking feline, he could fight with no hesitation, clever with his decisions in skirmishes. Pumpkinpaw's ceremony was held on his lonesome, as his sister had graduated her apprenticeship three moons earlier than him. She possessed much more ambition than him, but Pumpkinpaw desired to retain as much information and practice as much as possible before becoming a warrior. He wanted to feel confident in his skill, and when he finally had, his father conversed with the authorities about his warrior ceremony. His sister, Carrotstalk, had impressive hunting and tracking skills, excelling in bringing home plenty of prey, often speaking up during hunting patrols. He encouraged his sister to be a leader during those hunting patrols, as she prayed to StarClan that she'd be someday, and if not, she was content leading patrols. Though, upon his ceremony, Pumpkinpaw was anointed as Pumpkinpatch, regarding his patched fur and laid-back persona, improving with each session he participated in.
Pumpkinpatch's wanderlust only became more vigorous, causing his paws to ache and mind to churn with thoughts of the life outside the Clan. He wanted to travel, like his mother, but insisted on remaining in the Clan for the sake of his mother's statements. However, his lust got the best of him as he began to sneak out nightly, pacing back and forth on the borders. He desired to be free. One night, Pumpkinpatch had met a loner whose name was Leaf. The two immediately clicked, the conversation flowing easily as each discussed their different lifestyles. While Leaf was interested in the Clan life, Pumpkinpatch had been the opposite. These interests continuously boiled their conversations, meeting by the borders every other night. Frosteyes became suspicious of Pumpkinpatch's behavior, scolding that he may get caught and it wouldn't look good in the eyes of LighteningClan. His father, thankfully, wasn't angry with him, just merely concerned about his circumstances. Despite his father's warnings, this didn't stop Punpkinpatch from visiting his friend, Leaf. He couldn't stay away from the tom, feeling secure and joyous when he spoke to the other. For five moons, he would meet him as they only grew closer and closer, causing Pumpkinpatch to slack slightly on his warrior duties since he would be out from sundown to sunup.
Carrotstalk eventually grew tired of her brother sneaking out, deciding to come with him one night, where he willingly introduced his sister to the tom. Carrotstalk had an ill-feeling that Pumpkinpatch was head over paws for the opposing feline, wondering if her brother even comprehended his feelings. To Carrotstalk's stupefaction, she loved the connection between her brother and the loner, despite their forbidden relationship. Perhaps if Carrotstalk left with Pumpkinpatch, it might be less suspicious in the eyes of the Clan. She would hate to see her brother get in trouble and raise more inquiries that were unnecessary. The damsel would dismiss herself with Punpkinpatch, leaving his flank to hunt in the night while he met with Leaf. Pumpkinpatch was grateful to have such a wonderful sister that wouldn't stab him in the back. It's been about eight moons since he'd met Leaf, but today was the day Pumpkinpatch's life would change forever. Danger cast across the motherland as the entire ground beneath the territories reverberated and split, creating erosions, and deteriorating the land beneath their paws. He recalled the Clan in panic as some cats broke and got lost, altering clans. The day was an entire mess, sending the Clans into chaos as they attempted to reform and reclaim what they'd lost.
The Clans were split into three, with LighteningClan being the sole Clan that didn't merge, being renamed GaleClan. What was StarClan's plan? He didn't understand, but the night prior was the last he'd seen of Leaf, assuming that his best friend had died amid the tragic catastrophe. Settling into the new territory and figuring out which clanmates hadn't strayed from their original clans felt disastrous. Pumpkinpatch didn't see one feline amidst the Clan: his father, Frosteyes. The warrior had lost two individuals that day, his father and Leaf. The relationship he possessed with both were comforting and somewhere he considered as home. He felt fortunate and thanked StarClan for allowing his sister to be there with him, alleviated by the sight of his sister. Their bond would only strengthen over the loss of their father and Leaf. Carrotstalk believed Leaf and Pumpkinpatch were destined to be together until that awful day. She was disappointed that the Earthquake's wrath pilfered her brother's happiness. How sickening. Pumpkinpatch struggled to move on for the next few moons, despite Carrotstalk's continuous aid in cheering up the tom or simply traveling by his flank to keep his chin up.
Eventually, Pumpkinpatch could jostle his melancholy, presuming effortlessly with persisting warrior duties and doing decent in hunting patrols. There were a few minor skirmishes he'd run into on his own, unable to find someone like Leaf. There weren't many friendly felines like him, and it may have been fate that they met, but there was perhaps a purpose. Pumpkinpatch attempted to view life more optimistically, though he still harbored doubts and caution, failing to be the flamboyant, open feline he used to be. His perspective on the world amidst him had changed and veered, developing into a wiser warrior.

◉ PRESENT DAY
Pumpkinpatch was finally settling back into the norms of life, living in this newly named GaleClan. He has been able to meet with his mother, Dragonfly, as she was forced to relocate too. He lost two loved ones, but he still had a family. The bachelor would treasure the memories with Leaf and Frosteyes and reunite Carrotstalk with their mother, just as their father wanted. Carrotstalk was disgruntled with Dragonfly for a while, but it wasn't long until the two became best friends. Pumpkinpatch was delighted that his sister and mother were getting along, pleased with their wholesome relationship. The two would visit their mother once a week, awaiting the moment they get caught. Pumpkinpatch endeavored to consider the Earthquake a blessing, a new journey in his life.
