ROWANCLAW AS ABOVE, SO BELOW, WHAT YOU REAP IS WHAT YOU SOW. WHAT YOU GIVE COMES BACK THREE FOLD, AS ABOVE, SO BELOW. WORDS 242 NOTES I'm excited to see how these two play out! it'll sure be some top-tier content! | Rowanclaw opened her jaws in a big yawn. She shook her head afterwards. It had been another of those nights, and she had probably been a total annoyance: she never knew how much she moved in nightmare-infested sleeps. Whatever, she was out and she needed to concentrate on anything but the rock that seemed to have replaced her brain.
I am tired, but its better than having to deal with more nightmares or sleeping Clanmates, she thought to herself, stopping a moment to stretch herself. It helped, even if just a little. She'd gone in a solo hunting party now, but it was a bit hard to find prey, especially at this time of the day. However, Rowanclaw wanted to stay away from camp as far as possible.
The she-cat trudged through the moorland, smelling and scenting the entire place as she tried to find a slight clue for prey. Her belly growled, and Rowanclaw imagined her Clanmates would feel the same in just a few moments. It would be kind of her to bring some good food.
Rowanclaw pressed on, refusing to give up and refusing to return to the campsite soon. It was for the better, she supposed. Her pelt ruffled against the chilly weather, but that still didn't stop her. Catching the scent of a stray prey, Rowanclaw pricked her ears, advancing carefully towards the source of the delicious smell: she wouldn't want breakfast to run away, did she? |

Alderstone Take the stones people throw at you in life and use them to build a monument. WORDS ➤ 414 NOTES ➤ For sure! Ironic how we have the same template, i just added a thing or two xD | The canary-eyed tomcat would occasionally leave at dusk with a patrol and return to pop his head into camp before exiting the campsite again. Alderstone prowled the night until Midnight, goggling upon Silverpelt for hours, adoring how it stretched across the vast sky. The bachelor preferred the nighttime, cherishing the silence without others, though broken in a melodic harmony sung by the nocturnal creatures, such as crickets and owls. A small smile crept across his countenance at the thought. He was daydreaming; Alderstone paused in his pawsteps as he scrutinized the cerulean abysm overhead, believing his Clan possessed the most astounding scenery view. Alderstone shook his crania, returning his visage to where he'd been wandering, compelling himself to remain attentive. The diluted lilac warrior inhaled softly, feeling as the zephyr gently tugged at each fur, followed by a lingering aroma. He progressed onward; Alderstone's nose twitched, catching the scent of a nearby warrior, smelling of GaleClan, detecting a rodent as well. He swallowed thickly, tongue swiping across his mandible at the thought of catching fare. He quickly ascended in the direction, slowing his pace as the identified aromas neared, lowering his abdomen toward the ground.
Alderstone was huge, and it was challenging to suppress his alabaster pelage, keeping his physique low in the shrubbery, watching as the vole scattered across the Moorland. The opposing GaleClanner was also approaching, remaining still as the vole seemed to detect his slight movement. It wasn't his natural odor, considering the vole's acute sense of smell to discover their herbivorous food. Alderstone intensely stared the vole down, feeling the vibrations from the ground to his toes pads; he lunged forward, both frontal digits sprawled with talons unsheathed. His hefty paws landed upon the vole, giving himself space to lock his jaws around its spine. He delivered a mighty blow with an effective bite, severing the relatively small rodent's backbone. He dropped the lifeless creature, his distinctive yellow-golden gaze shifting toward the GaleClan warrior. "I assume we're hunting the same thing? Are you hungry?" Alderstone inquired, concern within his eyes. He felt bad. Alderstone pushed the vole forward with his foundation. "I'm not sure I'm entirely familiar with you, but I often see you prefer being on your lonesome."
Alderstone inhaled softly, "Apologies if I'm burdening you, and it's worse I hadn't introduced myself," He chuckled sheepishly, auditories flattening amongst his skull. "I'm Alderstone if you weren't aware." He offered a soft smile, not being much of a great conversationalist.

ROWANCLAW AS ABOVE, SO BELOW, WHAT YOU REAP IS WHAT YOU SOW. WHAT YOU GIVE COMES BACK THREE FOLD, AS ABOVE, SO BELOW. WORDS 327 NOTES OHHOHO! YEAH! except i still dunno how to make the round pic show, for some reason it doesn't, but ah well! I'll have my posting template soon too! however, i find it strangely matching for these two, if ya get the gig lmfao | Rowanclaw had been following the delicious scent of food for a good while now, ushering her tiredness away as well as she could. She had almost reached, being able to follow it given her small height, but found it difficult too due to her spiky-thorn pelt that stood proudly outwards. Almost, almost there! she thought, triumph building in her chest the more she felt nearing the prey. However, the sudden scent of another cat hit her.
Oh no, I thought I'd be alone, she screamed internally. And if she bumped into said Clanmate... what was she supposed to do? She never spoke to anyone inside or outside her Clan, barely. Too barely. She was a shadow inside her own campsite. She kept on following the prey, hoping the cat would turn away. But Rowanclaw only felt the scent growing stronger, and stronger, and even more closer to her...
Rowanclaw came to a hard halt when a stocky and behemoth tomcat lunging forward to her target. He was way too big that Rowanclaw sort of thought he could rival a small dog even. But she only stared, muscles tense and eyes wide as she stared at the newly -and sort of uninvited- cat. Her ripped ears flicked when she heard him speak, and offered the prey she'd been after.
"No, I-" she broke off for a heartbeat. "I was hunting it for the Clan." Her words crashed, as if she suddenly forgot how speaking was done. She took a step back, but she was paralyzed.
"I am, Rowan," she said. "Rowanclaw, I mean. Well, I just... yeah, I am often by myself." she said, her claws sinking into the soil to hold herself. What am I supposed to do? Act friendly? The young tabby was truly confused about how this worked. All she could do was to stare at him as if he was some sort of creature she'd never seen before. StarClan, help me! she pleaded silently. |

Alderstone Take the stones people throw at you in life and use them to build a monument. WORDS ➤ 378 NOTES ➤ I can always shoot you a message and help out to the best of my ability! Also I think the templates contrast greatly! ^^ | Alderstone hadn’t done the brightest thing, as he hadn’t communicated first with the opposing warrior whether she would want his assistance or not. He was initiating an attempt to help capture enough prey to bring back to the Campsite. His gaze dropped to the frontal quarters, trailing from the tufts between his toes to the deceased cadaver roughly a tail-length away. Alderstone felt slightly ashamed of his manners, feeling as though he hadn’t made a wise decision, which didn’t often occur to the bachelor. Alderstone was an eccentric warrior, standing out for his intricate demeanor. He was clearly not social but was moderately decent at socializing when the time came.
It was apparent the she-cat was a bit taken aback, deeming she was rather asocial. There was certainly a reason behind avoiding conversations, though Alderstone’s business wasn’t to prod her. Alderstone awaited an answer, his ears flicking and swerving for other sounds, consistently on his toes if an enemy would appear and diminish their conversation. Alderstone rolled his shoulders back, ”Ah, right, that would make more sense,” Alderstone uttered, a soft array of sheepish laughter escaping his maw. Oh, StarClan, I can be such a mouse-brain to think I’d eat before the Elders. The elongated and behemoth tomcat followed with a brisk nod, ”I believe hunting works better with more than one warrior,” Alderstone commented, offering a diminutive smile. ”Hence why the clan sends out hunting patrols. Mind if I join you?” Alderstone inquired, his crania tilting slightly to the left.
He observed the mademoiselle’s paralyzed physique, unsure of where to start. Alderstone pondered, feeling as though he’d been going on too much. The last thing he wanted to do was overwhelm the opposing warrior, especially because she was a clanmate. Alderstone sat in silence momentarily, shifting his gaze between Rowanclaw and the sky above. He loved the atmosphere, and it was transparent. ” It's nice to meet you, Rowanclaw, officially,” He smiled warmly, vocalizing with teasing undertones, his gentle visage softening as he loosened his shoulders. He wanted the other to feel comfortable rather than uneasy and uptight about the circumstances. ”I understand entirely. Communicating with others can be challenging. You’re up early, was your nest uncomfortable?” His brows furrowed slightly, concern lacing within his canary gaze.

ROWANCLAW AS ABOVE, SO BELOW, WHAT YOU REAP IS WHAT YOU SOW. WHAT YOU GIVE COMES BACK THREE FOLD, AS ABOVE, SO BELOW. WORDS 235 NOTES OH! Gem, that'd be very very much appreciated! And yes, i have to agree with you: the contrast truly is interesting and matches well with these two! | The she-cat could feel her entire fur bristling and spiking out more than she intended. It felt like she was just learning about what another Clanmate was. Or what even socializing meant. Rowanclaw hadn't had the guidance needed to learn how to fit into a Clan, especially one that she wasn't originally born to. The thought of that made her pin her ears against her head.
Rowanclaw wasn't accustomed to these kind of friendly gestures or even expressions. This was certainly more alien to her than being silently judged by another Clanmate. Could she really trust this tomcat was being genuine? Or he was just messing around her? Rowanclaw didn't want to end up embarrassed and letting someone inside her own Clan have an excuse to fluster her. But perhaps, she could give a try. to being friendly..
"Well, I suppose, you... have a point," she said, looking down the dead prey. "You can join me if so you wish, Alderstone," she said. The name rolled off strangely from her tongue: it certainly had a charm to it though.
Hearing his next question, Rowanclaw's tail-tip lashed in self-awareness. "No, my nest's fine, " Its me who isn't fine according to some cats in GaleClan, "I just enjoy doing hunting alone rather than in parties," she admitted. Why was she even disclosing this information to a cat she just met? Only her ancestors -whoever they were- knew. |

Alderstone Take the stones people throw at you in life and use them to build a monument. WORDS ➤ 310 NOTES ➤ I'll shoot you a DM! | Alderstone could feel Rowanclaw's essence radiating apprehension, slightly tightening his physique. He felt as though he was intruding, but perhaps this was something Rowanclaw needed to prosper. The tomcat had an eerie feeling the Clan viewed Rowanclaw as an outcast, almost like a prior loner attempting to fit into the Clan. He scrutinized Rowanclaw's countenance, watching as her facial expressions shifted and auditories pinned amongst her crania. The bachelor wanted to help the other, though there was only so much he could do. Maybe conversing with her more could push away this possible social anxiety she possesses. Or conceivably, she truly did enjoy being alone. Alderstone wasn't sure but was bound to figure it out without pushing the circumstances. The sire mostly struggled to trust opposing felines, whether it was a clanmate. He was dubious of absolutely everyone. A genuine smile decorated his facade when Rowanclaw mentioned his name, "I'm sure we will work wonderfully together. You can just do as you normally hunt," Alderstone paused for a moment, casting a glimpse toward Rowanclaw, "I'll follow your lead, but don't worry, you don't have to say anything if you don't want to. I'm good at picking up cues."
Alderstone's ears perked forward upon his clanmate's next comments, "If you say so, a comfy nest is required for the best sleep," He joked lightheartedly, following by a short shrug as he took a few steps forward. "That's understandable. I don't blame you; not everyone works well together, either. Some patrols can be unfortunate, but that's why the chosen warriors are who would work best together." His gaze flashed toward his paws momentarily before reverting to the opposing GaleClanner. Alderstone trod onward, long appendages advancing as he brushed past Rowanclaw's flank, "Shall we begin?" And with a flick of his feathery tassel, he moved forward, "This will be great, I assure you."

ROWANCLAW AS ABOVE, SO BELOW, WHAT YOU REAP IS WHAT YOU SOW. WHAT YOU GIVE COMES BACK THREE FOLD, AS ABOVE, SO BELOW. WORDS 379 NOTES OH! THANKS! | Rowanclaw had to yell internally louder for her ancestors to give her the strength to not turn around and run off. She just couldn't do that. Besides, it could ruin the image she'd given herself: a cat to not be messed with, right? If she showed some vulnerability... it could end bad. Or so, Rowanclaw thinks so that way. Being shunned away for years of your life really makes wonders, huh.
Rowanclaw let her fur lie flat, taking a deep breath of air to reunite every drop of it to be able to formulate her answer, but she stopped for a moment, thinking: could she really hunt with someone? She was scared this would go far worse than she imagined. And if this cat had disguised intentions? What if he just wanted to make her miserable? Did he also agree that she was undeserving of her warrior name as some GaleClanners thought?
No! Stop, Rowanclaw, she scolded herself, at least give him a chance, will you? She heard a little voice in the back of her head. But part of her wasn't so sure if this was a good idea: she'd been so used to her loneliness that suddenly welcoming someone into it looked utterly terrifying. But, she couldn't let that hold her back; how would her ancestors feel if they saw her being afraid of a cat that was supposed to be an equal to her? Probably ashamed.
Not wanting to disappoint, Rowanclaw nodded, but there was effort in her words when she said, "Fine by me, I guess," Rowanclaw took another deep breath, but broke off immediately, just giving a quick nod. She was so disturbed by this experience that when the behemoth cat brushed so closely to her, Rowanclaw almost felt the need to jump and run off. Stopping herself from doing something stupid, she only pretended like this last thing hadn't affected her at all.
"We could go farther into the Sun Stones or the Flower Fields," she meowed, keeping it as casual as she could. She wasn't sure she was saying something remotely logic at all, but she was too deeply shaken to care. Hearing his reassuring last sentence, Rowanclaw could only flick both ears in acknowledgment, hiding the ever-growing doubt inside her belly. |

Alderstone Take the stones people throw at you in life and use them to build a monument. WORDS ➤ 358 NOTES ➤ --;- | The diluted calico tom hadn't been familiar with felines who avoided socialization, swallowing thickly to clear his trachea. Alderstone became worried that Rowanclaw would make an excuse to escape the situation, and if she did, he wouldn't chase. Alderstone attempted to respect others to the best of his capabilities, avoiding crossing boundaries. Scrutinizing the opposing warrior, he noticed her bristled pelage had finally settled amongst her dermis; a scarcely detectable, faint smile crept upon his facade. He discerned a wave of relief wash over him, almost having a sense of refreshment. Typically, Alderstone was the one nitpicking the feline he'd been conversing with, but it appeared to be the other way around for once. Despite Rowanclaw's uncertainty, the gargantuan warrior felt alleviated that he didn't have to intensely monitor Rowanclaw, feeling secure and coolheaded in the individual's presence. Alderstone quickly identified that she had been in bottomless contemplation, reconsidering things just as he had done in these circumstances. Shifting his visage toward the morning sky, the sun had been rising now. He adored the sunrise and sunset, swallowed whole by Silverpelt when he'd witnessed it. Alderstone was merely obsessed with the atmosphere, cherishing the bliss provided by the sceneries he detected daily.
"Either will do perfectly," Alderstone dipped his crania toward the atramentous mademoiselle, "I haven't hunted with you before, so I hope you don't mind a few questions." He chuckled sheepishly, his distinctive yellow-golden gaze intensifying as he thought about the upcoming hunt. He was relatively nervous, but perhaps he was feeling some of Rowanclaw's tension. Within moments, they were cast in crimson, scoured in a rosy glow; how the sun gives each dawn without even questioning or accumulating the luminosity. His feathered tassel-like tail swayed through the ambiance that grew more kaleidoscopic with each passing moment until it became a new bold day. "Would you say you prefer to chase or capture? It would be wonderful if we brought something big back to camp, nothing too crazy, of course." Alderstone shrugged his shoulders as he ascended forward, "Or a few little things; I believe the shaded areas would be our best bet, considering the warmth arising."

ROWANCLAW AS ABOVE, SO BELOW, WHAT YOU REAP IS WHAT YOU SOW. WHAT YOU GIVE COMES BACK THREE FOLD, AS ABOVE, SO BELOW. WORDS 317 NOTES N/A | Rowanclaw prayed harder to be given the strength to confront this situation. She was more scared of interacting socially with other cats than she was of confronting enemies, but perhaps, that was just her, after all she'd been trained how to defend herself, her territory and the Clan, not trained how to fit in a Clan.
The ever-growing doubt inside her belly was nagging her, and Rowanclaw was making an effort to not pay attention to it, more or so, because she wanted to confront this situation without feeling like something was gonna go wrong. He does not look threatening after all, she meowed to herself, He's my Clanmate, for StarClan's sake! I can't be doubting a warrior of my own Clan this way, especially if he wants to be so kind and accompany me, she thought.
She was snapped from her inner monologue when she heard the tomcat's words. "I, err, no, I don't mind," she muttered. Listening to his next question, Rowanclaw took some time to answer again, "I think capturing is better for me. Prey can see me if I chase them," she sighed. And she was right. She sat for a moment, licking her chest fur to dissimulate her anxiety about how this was going to play it. The young she-cat could only hope she did not mess up and made a fool of herself right in front this tomcat: for some reason, she felt inclined to prove herself before him. Perhaps, his kindness has some effect on me, maybe I respect him, the youngster thought.
A tiny little part of her hoped this could blossom into a friendship, she knew she was tired of spending her free time alone, grieving the fact she did not know her origins or how to fit in as everyone else, or imagining herself doing the impossible to prove she was as good as a wild-borne cat.

Alderstone Take the stones people throw at you in life and use them to build a monument. WORDS ➤ 438 NOTES ➤ Didn't mean to write 400 words, but it happened. Don't mind the length xD | Alderstone didn't particularly enjoy conversing with other individuals, let alone accompanying them. However, for once, he was inquisitive and desired to learn more about Rowanclaw. When was Alderstone ever curious? Rarely. He reflected that the mademoiselle had been brought in by the Clan when LighteningClan still existed. Although they had changed their names, they were the only Clan who didn't merge, and a few cats who'd gotten stranded during the Earthquake joined the new GaleClan. It was interesting. Why would their Clan's name be changed? Alderstone assumed it may have been to put the previous reign behind them and focus on a reinvigorated era. Alderstone could barely grasp the current circumstances, as Alderstone had been an upcoming warrior shortly before the Earthquake raked its vicious talons across the valley.
The tragedy is something that Alderstone could never forget, as it nearly elongated his apprenticeship. Thankfully, about a moon or two before the Earthquake, Alderstone became a warrior, though due to the loss of his parents, followed by the disastrous Quake, he was invariably recovering. The youthful warrior's emotions felt somewhat suppressed when he'd been around the other, perhaps regarding their equivalent zany disposition. Rowanclaw always had something churning in her brain, and it was unfortunate because constant worry can be harmful to one's mentality. "Great, I will chase to the best of my ability. I'm not the most excellent hunter, so I'm honestly relieved you want to capture." Alderstone's husky vocalizations were admitted, a sheepish chuckle following after. Thankfully for Alderstone, his lighter pelage was more likely to blend into the terrain than an atramentous silhouette, such as Rowanclaw herself. Unfortunately, some pelts were a disadvantage considering the pigmentation and where the sunlight strikes. The bachelor felt that he had to avoid crunchy leaves beneath his toes, not wanting to disrupt Rowanclaw. He was worried he'd say the wrong thing. He was somewhat aware that Rowanclaw typically intentionally avoided hanging around other clanmates.
Alderstone couldn't quite grasp her logic, though he calculated that it was stressful being unconscious of where oneself originated. The warrior paced himself, making sure Rowanclaw remained close, as he was protective over his clanmates. Alderstone consistently bound himself close to his clanmates' flank, wanting to feel prepared for the unknown. There was no predicting what lay ahead furthermore, especially after the Earthquake. He was constantly on his toes. "I have a question, Rowanclaw," He offered a small smile, his usually intense golden gaze softening as they glistened with curiosity, "Do you enjoy being apart of a Clan? You can be completely honest with me. This will be considered a confidential conversation, in my eyes."

ROWANCLAW AS ABOVE, SO BELOW, WHAT YOU REAP IS WHAT YOU SOW. WHAT YOU GIVE COMES BACK THREE FOLD, AS ABOVE, SO BELOW. WORDS 490 NOTES I don't mind the length! i really like reading so dw! : D | Rowanclaw breathed in the air, letting the different scents flow through her nostrils. She twitched her ears as she also tried to catch any sort of noises that prey could be making. Rowanclaw hoped that she hadn’t scared away prey already; she needed to catch some prey if she wanted to NOT be questioned by anyone why she was out and still hadn’t brought anything back to the Clan. I would be angry if I was hungry and someone was out and still didn’t bring breakfast, she admitted to herself. Rowanclaw was careful to step on crunching leaves and studied her surroundings, calculating possible hiding places where she could either corner prey or even hide. Her whiskers twitched the more she stared around the plains.
Rowanclaw merely gave a sideways glance and an awkward short smile that only lasted a single heartbeat. “Well, I am glad we can agree,” she meowed, trying not to sound harsh or sarcastic. Being sharp-tongued was something that came out almost naturally, which, had also played part in how she interacted around her Clanmates and how they interacted around her. She hadn’t been exactly the kindest of cats, but she found it hard to be when most of them had viewed her as an outcast undeserving of her warrior name and position. The thought sent a rippling wave of anger through her muscles, her fur bristling, I’ll show them! I will be one of the greatest cats to ever exist, and even become a legend in all Clans!
Ambition now replaced her anger, which suddenly made her feel powerful and like she could take on an entire army of enemies. But her episode of ambition and a deep-rooted hatred for her unknown origins was halted when the bachelor-y tomcat spoke again, and this time, it was a question. Hearing it made her stare down to her claws as she walked through the grassy plains. She took her time to reply, wanting to pick her words carefully. This was a Clanmate, but he was still a stranger to the world of Rowanclaw in its entirety. The sudden brush of his fur against her almost made her concentration waver; she’d never been this close to a cat, let alone a tomcat. “I like being part of GaleClan,” she started. “But I do not enjoy being viewed as a… stranger inside the group of cats I swore loyalty and service to,” Rowanclaw felt half guilty confessing the truth of her thoughts and anxiety. “I have some times thought on running away, to find my, origins and know what is so wrong about me,” Doubt nagged her throat now. She’d never been open to anyone, ever. Time and again she’d swallowed back her negative thoughts and just appeared as an efficient warrior with a tendency of a bad temper: she could feel her shell cracking the more she spoke. Why was she even confessing this to a cat she’d practically just met?
Give him an opportunity, just one, something screamed deep inside Rowanclaw's mind. |

Alderstone Take the stones people throw at you in life and use them to build a monument. WORDS ➤ 547 NOTES ➤ --;- | Alderstone assumed the mademoiselle avoided eye contact, as she hadn't settled to look into the depth of his golden-yellow chasms. In one's eyes is their humanity, the being they indeed are. Occasionally it gets lost when you wear the cap and become the fellow the world demands. But I saw it in your eyes that day in the sunshine, waiting for the crossing to turn green. I also saw the love that burns there, the sort that goes for eternity. Something in one's spirit dances when playing, like a blaze giving just the right amount of warmth. He has seen it die too, the flames nearly extinguished, when under the pistol of remorse, humiliation, and apprehension. That's why Alderstone dared to see into the windows of one's essence, to see the real them before possibly the last time. The last time. It was a terrifying thought, inhaling sharply as he pondered why he hadn't dared to maintain any friendships. Lament is not the passing of a life well-lived yet celebrated. Calculate the times their souls smiled together, reached invisibly yet tangibly, and touched. Death is only the end of a chapter. So this cadaver makes ready to return to the soil, and one's spirit will watch over an individual and live in the heart. It will bring sadness as it's transformed into this new way of connecting, yet this is part of living.
Alderstone was alleviated. He'd taken note of Rowanclaw's minimal, quick smile. He was disappointed it hadn't lasted long, as he enjoyed seeing others smile, even if he didn't particularly prefer company. The tension between the two appeared to lift gradually, allowing Alderstone to loosen up more than he had. He wasn't entirely sure where to go with the conversation next, assuming that the opposing warrior wasn't much of a conversationalist, which was understandable if he viewed things from her perspective. He recalled that the damsel had suffered brutal comments from his fellow clanmates, considering Rowanclaw's origins. In the eyes of a majority of warriors, a cat that wasn't clan-born is unreliable or deemed untrustworthy. However, Alderstone attempted not to judge anyone until they have shown themselves who they are, but that doesn't mean he's not cautious. Alderstone was incredibly skeptical, though, less so when amidst his clanmates. Rowanclaw hadn't intended any harm, nor did it seem like she had plans to, a sigh escaping his lips at the thought. Alderstone determined that Rowanclaw didn't have much of a grasp on how to articulate, contemplating she didn't socialize much.
"I understand, maybe not to your extent, but I understand why you'd feel that way." Alderstone commented, fur bristling at the thought of being misunderstood or underestimated. "You will prove them all wrong, Rowanclaw; focus on making friends while maintaining duties. Some warriors are pleasant and bypass others' origins. It's not right in my mind to disregard your skill, despite where you came from, clan-born or not." The tomcat explained, visage softening yet darkening when Rowanclaw mentioned running away and something wrong with her. Bewilderment shrouded Alderstone's mind, "There's nothing wrong with you, Rowanclaw. Most warriors look down upon anyone who isn't clan-born. You just need to continue to work hard. They will be proud to have you as a clanmate a few moons from now."

ROWANCLAW AS ABOVE, SO BELOW, WHAT YOU REAP IS WHAT YOU SOW. WHAT YOU GIVE COMES BACK THREE FOLD, AS ABOVE, SO BELOW. WORDS 255 NOTES AUGHHHHH! | Rowanclaw's tail was lashing furiously side to side, her pelt had bristled, and she had unconsciously unsheathed her claws and her ears had flattened to. Her amber-fire gaze was centered in the nothing in front of her, as her thoughts ran wild with ambition, fear and anger. Why couldn't her Clanmates trust her? What was so StarClan-forbidden about her heritage that she deserved a sideways suspicious glance every time she passed by?
Its not my fault! A small voice inside her head cried out. Pain of all those moons of rejection were transforming into something solidly dark inside her chest. She wanted to prove and arise above every each cat, to make them see she was better than any of them combined.
Yet, she was pulled from this tormenting when she heard Alderstone's voice. She listened carefully, pulling away from the somber storm forming inside her head as she tried to make reason of her unknown origins. The she-cat finally sighed, as Alderstone finished talking.
"Look, its not that easy, okay?" she murmured, defeat in her voice. "Its obvious these cats don't trust me, and I am tired of attempting as such," She stopped for a moment, swallowing, and letting her fur lie flat. She stared at the horizon, ears perked up.
"What am I to do here if no one inside the Clan will trust me enough?" she wondered. "I want to be leader one day, but I can't if these cats cannot bring themselves to see I am not going to betray them."

WORDS ➤ 325 NOTES ➤ --;- | Alderstone quickly recognized the undesired silence between them, his heart sinking to the bottom of his solar plexus at his shaken thoughts. He was concerned that he might've said something wrong, as he occasionally struggled to emphasize with others. Sure, he was relatively friendly, but he wasn't the greatest at advice, yet somehow preferred deeper conversations. Perhaps this was due to his frequent discussions with his late mother, Kestrelrain. His mother constantly advised and consoled him, so why was he so terrible at sympathizing with other individuals? Maybe because those moments didn't last long, considering his mother's early death in his life, after his father on the same day. Hearing the damsel's sigh, she then articulated, seemingly distressed by their Clan's expectations. Alderstone closed his eyes for a moment as he listened to Rowanclaw's voice, jostled by her despair. "I understand you might be tired," Alderstone huffed, auditories flattening amongst his crania at the damsel's tone, "But that doesn't mean you give up, Rowanclaw." He stated, vocalizations laced with sobriety, narrowing his golden-yellow visionaries as he met her umber ones before her visage quickly shifted overhead.
"You're here because you have a purpose; you just need to discover it," Alderstone stated, appendages ascending as they trailed through the territory in search of prey to return to the fresh-kill pile. "They might be suspicious of you because of your introverted behavior-- I noticed you prefer being on your lonesome. Of course, there's nothing wrong with that, but everyone has their suspicions or insecurities. It could be envy rather than hatred toward you." The behemoth tomcat explained, pausing for a moment before resuming. "Even I, born into the Clan, isn't entirely appreciated by everyone. I'm quite confidental and keep to myself, hence the speculations of others. Put yourself out there, Rowanclaw; I guarantee the Clan will praise you and cherish your presence one day. You're still young, just as I. We have so much room to grow."
