"I am," said Snake, turning to completely face Beavergaze. His tail flicked back and forth, back and forth, and he looked the clan cat up and down, from toe to ear tip.
"Nice to meet you," he said, eventually. Though the response was slow in coming, it seemed to be genuine. He dipped his head. "Greetings." When he raised it again, he maybe seemed slightly amused, though his paw pads jittered just a bit against the ground. Hardly noticeable. "I don't think there's any concern that you might end up hunting around me. Most of my duties are also complete for the time being, so you might find yourself slightly wanting when it comes for entertainment."
With that in mind, he did step away from where he'd been finishing up, though he continued to look at Beavergaze as he walked, implying that he was willing to keep the tom entertained at least in conversation.
"Did you perhaps have anything else in mind when it came to something to do?"
Whiskers twitching, Snake scented the air, moving through the motions of navigating the various large caves that the clan cats still seemed so unused to. It felt a bit stifling with them here, but it was quite interesting, if he was honest.
Snake stopped when he'd found a space with a bit more room to sit without getting in the way of the other cave guard, prey hunters, and clan cats. Then turned his attention to Beavergaze again.
"I take it you're interested in something in particular?"

This almost had Snake chuckling. There was certainly a twitch to his whiskers that make it look like he was about to follow through with the laughter. After a long, pregnant pause where it almost became an awkward silence, he eventually said, "You are practically confining me to the grounds of the stars at this point, from how you speak." Briefly, he lifted up a paw and put on an expression which was clearly meant to mimic that of the aged. "Are you sure you want to spar someone who might fall over dead at any second?"
He was well aware he was overblowing the age quip, but he also found it humorous that Beavergaze was trying so hard to be polite when it was just to do with the years he'd been on the earth without actually knowing if he was as skilled as he assumed.
Best to put it into practice then. It would be a waste to ignore such a opportune assumption.
Snake was also curious how cats who called themselves 'warriors' fought. Though to his mind the whole clan seemed more warlike than was his taste.
"You may be surprised by what Cave Guards know when it comes to battle," Snake pointed out. He was confident in his abilities to take down a hawk. Cats were not as often a target. Still ... he knew how.
"Alright then," he said, tail rising to express just the sort of tone he'd take this spar - excitement and attention that it clearly deserved. "Will here do, or would you prefer a more open space?"
