Full Moon on Still Water
Tribe of Forgotten Waters
The tiny cloud of white fluff couldn't help but bounce up and down on her little paws as she waited rather impatiently beside the entrance of the Tribe's cavernous home, the buzz of activity and voices filling the usually quiet area as cats from all the clans still occupied the once vastly empty space. The whole thing had been rather exciting, well except for the part where the ground had rumbled and shook like a monster ready to swallow them all whole.
The last time the little Prey-Hunter had felt anything close to so much fear was when the avalanche had almost swept her off the mountain side back when she had been only a To-Be. Even now, the thought of heavy snow covering her stark white body still caused shivers to run down her spine and the fluffiness of her tail to bristle.
"If you keep bouncing like that, something is going to mistaken you for prey rather than a cat." The rough tone of Lizard sounded as the aging tabby Cave-Guard padded forwards, whiskers twitching upon her face as she stared down her adoptive daughter with gentle green hues. Despite Moon's age, she still had a youthfulness and pure innocence about her, almost to the point that she still seemed kit-like in nature. She had never met a stranger in her life, and looked at others with a hopefulness of automatically making friends with them.
She could truly be called a breath of fresh air, a smile wide on her alabaster maw as she turned to face Lizard, paws still moving restlessly as she waited for the other felines to join their little party.
"Nuh-uh! I'm too big to be a rabbit or a mouse!" Her silky tail wiggled around behind her in a light-hearted fashion, still unaware of the actuality of her size. Moon had always displayed the heart of a lion and the courage and energy to match, it was just her tiny form that didn't seem to follow suite. But true to her obliviousness, the white coated molly truly didn't see just how little she was, in her mind she was as big as the biggest Cave-Guard.
Though, no-one in the Tribe had the heart to correct her and she did no harm in believe she was bigger than what she was.
Lizard gave a small purr, something that often wasn't given freely by the older she-cat before her thick tail reached out brush against Moon's fluffy flank seconds before something else caught the attention of the easily distracted Molly. "Hound!" She squeaked with excitement, her little paws leaving the rocking floor for a second as she bounced up and over the the dark tomcat slowly making his way over to the forming group.
"Hound!" She repeated in that high-pitched and excited tone of hers, huge blue hues like the depths of the ocean stared up at Hound while her plume of a tail waved happily behind her. "Are you coming hunting with us? We are going to have so much fun!" A loud purr rose from within the Molly's chest, practically vibrating the whole feline as her tail continued to wag like a canine behind her. "We are going to the Hidden Meadow, maybe we can catch the Tribe a whole hawk!"
