You can find the starting prompt below, but there are a few rules we need to go over before we begin. - We want to make sure these new regions are discovered fast, so we will need you to make sure all of your posts are 200 words or less. You won't be penalised if you go a bit over, but please try to keep it as brief as you possibly can!
- Every three posts made by you guys will end with me adding in another prompt describing what you are seeing, D&D style! After a few rounds of posting, the area you are exploring will be considered "discovered".
- When it becomes your turn to post, please try to post as soon as you possibly can! This is a quick-posting event, and we want to get it done as fast as we can.
- Below you will find a posting template (designed by the lovely Kat) that we recommend using for simplicity! Shorter posts might make some templates look a bit weird, but feel free to use your own templates if you like.

If you have any questions, feel free to let any of us on the staff team know! Initial Prompt The fog hung low on the horizon as you join the mixed-Clan patrol that would set forth to discover what had become of the thick, lush forests that once homed TreeClan. You set out quite early, with the sun only just rising over the distant mountains, and the valley is fully visible to your patrol just as a mid-morning hit. Even from so far away, you can see that what you will find below you will not be the familiar territories you all once knew. With each cat staying alert for potential danger, you begin to make your way down the mountain slopes, carefully picking your path out from among the rocky outcrops and sudden dips in the earth. You split apart from the other exploration parties, watching as one veers off towards the open moorlands and the other towards where the river once divided RainClan from the other lands. Your destination lay much further than theirs did, on the opposite side of the valley, where you could see that there were still large stretches of surviving forest.
Just ahead of you, you can see a giant crack in the earth like a great scar jutting out of the forests and splitting part of the land in two. It is difficult to see far into the dense forests, but you can make out the skeletons of fallen trees lying beside the surviving trunks. When you squint across towards the moorland, you can see that the open woods have been irreparably damaged in the earthquake, reshaping the edges where the forest meets field.
Your objective is clear: find out what became of the forests and TreeClan's camp, find if the territory still contains a source of water, evaluate any potential threats and determine if this territory can still sustain Clan life. It is vital that each of you, regardless of which Clan you originated, work together in order to remain safe in these unknown lands and succeed in your mission. The time has now come for your patrol to discuss which area you should investigate first. Think carefully about your decision... some places may not be as safe as others... Date: Greenleaf 25 - Fog rolls in during the morning, but quickly dissipates beneath the sun. The air is significantly cooler after the storm, and the skies are clear for the exploration parties coming down from the mountains. Objective: Take stock of the new territory, discover a potential camp area, report your findings back to whichever leader you follow. [googlefont=Nunito,400,400i,900] WHITEHAWK WARRIOR OF STONECLAN The one-eyed tom had been grateful when he discovered that he would be the head of one of the exploration patrols, though he couldn't deny that there was a touch of awkwardness that now came with it. As he walked forward towards the distant forests, he knew what places they should be looking for, but not where they were, even before they had been affected by the quake. A large majority of the patrol was made of other Stoneclan cats, with a few others mixed in. He didn't want to make himself out as a fool or a bad choice, so he would have to take educated guesses. "I believe we should try to find the Treeclan camp first. If anything still remains then maybe it could be salvaged, or at least checked for supplies. Keep an eye out for any other cats or..any other animals." He glanced to his side at Orioleflight, raising one worried brow and admittedly hoping that what they found would not be tragic for those of Treeclan. He pushed onward into the forests that still stood, unfamiliar with the shade and coverage of the trees, but recognizing the faint smell of the previous inhabitants. [googlefont=Nunito,400,400i,900] ORIOLEFLIGHT WARRIOR OF STONECLAN The vibrant orange and black warrior was unusually mellow as the exploration patrol headed off. Nightmares had been making sleep a troublesome thing, but she was grateful to have Herondive and Whitehawk as familiar presences on the patrol today. The young warrior had recently considered seeking out help from Ebonyheart, but was hesitant. As of yet, the only one privy to her nighttime woes was Herondive, as she often crawled into the senior warrior's nest in search of reprieve, and Orioleflight wasn't certain she was ready to let anyone else know of her worries just yet. Whitehawk's voice pulled Orioleflight back into the present, and her eyes widened at the forests before them. The earthquake's impact was starkly visible, and gave a new power to her deep-rooted fears. A worried glance shared between her and Whitehawk gave her the wake up she needed to shake out of it. With a small shake of her shoulders, Orioleflight stepped forward. "Duskrose, Finchcloud. This was your home, right? Which way should we head?" Bright amber eyes looked uncertainly at the treetops high above. This terrain was so vastly different from the rocky slopes she'd grown up on and loved, and the sheer mass of it held no candle to the small copse of trees StoneClan's territory used to have. It was foreign and a bit daunting, but the mottled warrior refused to let it get the better of her. TAGGED: BlooRey DVD Hellion @ide @sable Phoenix NOTES: 236 words please don't smite me

[googlefont=Nunito,400,400i,900] FINCHCLOUD WARRIOR OF TREECLAN The state of the valley was sobering. From a distance it had been obvious, but up close... Finchcloud's tail flicked, sorrow at the destruction of his home sinking thorn-sharp claws into his heart. The woods he'd patrolled, hunted, and led apprentices through as he taught them; they lay in broken, twisted heaps on the ground. He knew, more strongly now than ever, that the hope of things going back to the way they had been would never happen. The new rip in the earth, the gorge that hadn't been there before, would be a constant reminder. Perhaps one day the woods would regrow, but that was permanent. He didn't want to get anywhere close to it, turning his head away to Whitehawk as the StoneClan tom spoke. That made sense- having a starting point. His apprehension about the state of his former camp pricked at him, and the sudden fear that he might find the bodies of those TreeClan cats that had never made it out. A furious, frantic shake of his head as he pushed that thought away, and nodded to the patrol's leader and Orioleflight. "I can show you. It's not far- I think." Pelt still prickling, Finchcloud set off, searching for any still familiar landmarks to help him find his way back to the old tree trunk that had housed his Clan for countless seasons. Board and ImagePrompt As your patrol makes their way closer to the forests, following respectfully behind the warriors among them whose destroyed home they laid eyes upon, you begin to realise that the great crack in the earth you could see from a distance has split the entire forest in two. You follow cautiously along the edges of the newly formed ravine, struggling to find a crossing point. As you finally reach the place where the stream once cut through the forest, you realise that the stream now flowed down into the gorge, forming a trickling waterfall. It looks too steep and too slippery to climb down, but what was left of the stream at the top of the ravine was shallow enough for each cat to safely cross the water. Already, the prey of the forest seem to be adapting to this new location. You spot signs that rabbits and mice have been drinking from the stream at the top of the newborn waterfall. This seems an encouraging answer as to whether or not these lands were still livable for the Clans. From where your patrol currently stands, you know that the location of StarClan's Claws, beside the river, is very close. Your patrol is faced with the choice between veering off towards the sacred location where the Clans once gathered, or continuing onwards beyond the trickling waterfall to discover what has become of TreeClan's home. [googlefont=Nunito,400,400i,900] DUSKROSE WARRIOR OF TREECLAN Duskrose nodded along with Whitehawk's statement to venture toward TreeClan camp. She could not deny the dread that coiled in her gut. She could handle finding the bodies of her Clanmates, but if they were in any state of despair, such as a failed escape, Duskrose doubted she could maintain her composure. Duskrose had readied her reply, but Finchcloud answered first, which Duskrose was grateful for. The full scale of the destruction had only registered in Duskrose's mind as they traveled through the torn-up forest. It took her breath away, in the word possible way. Duskrose picked up her pace to walk alongside Finchcloud. Even if they were not friends, she wanted to support him as a fellow clanmate. Like him, she sought out landmarks and realized early on scent markers would be of no use. The telling sound of water eased Duskrose's broken heart over the current state of their old home. Water meant prey, and to be able to find her Clan was all that truly mattered. "I hear water," She alerted, heading in the direction to arrive at the waterfall. She scented the air; fresh rabbit and mice scent made her mouth water. "The we should keep going toward the camp," She suggested, flicking her tail deeper into the forest-void, beyond the waterfall and away from StarClan's Claws. [googlefont=Nunito,400,400i,900] HEATHERNOSE WARRIOR OF STONECLAN "Our first goal should be to investigate StarClan's Claws," simpered a long-haired gray tabby she-cat, her scent distinctly StoneClan. "After all, we need their guidance now more than ever in these..." Heathernose glanced at the TreeClan warriors, upon whose home they were traipsing through. She blatantly ignored a few choice words like catastrophic and tragic. Instead finishing up with "...uncertain times."Heathernose firmly believed that the earthquake had been a direct cause of the impious. Though she'd recited the Warrior Code to herself each night, and gave thanks for any prey she caught, it seemed as though a distinct lack of reverence for their ancestors had caused this calamity in the first place. Obviously the first step to recovery was reestablishing their standing with StarClan. Are you looking down upon us and frowning, mother? I'm trying to tell them how important it is, but they just won't listen. With a sanctimonious raise of her chin, Heathernose stopped in her tracks, her tail sweeping out to keep her apprentice, Chalkpaw, from advancing further. "Chalkpaw and I can go look, if no one else can muster up the respect."TAGGED: @ NOTES: blah blah blah [googlefont=Nunito,400,400i,900] BRACKENSTRIDE WARRIOR OF TREECLAN He let Whitehawk lead the mixed Clan party. If it were comprised of only TreeClan cats, he would have made more of an effort to speak up. To voice his opinions. Instead, Brackenstride slunk to the back of the group, consumed by his thoughts as he tried to reconcile the damage before him with the home he had once known. Talk of StarClan's Claws almost made him snort out loud. He hadn't given so much as a rat's dropping of thought towards the sacred gathering site. Cats did not live at StarClan's Claws, so what did it matter if it was in ruins? Besides... If he never went to another gathering again, so long as he lived, that would be just fine with him. The brush of so many bodies in the Tribe's cave made him want to scream.Heathernose's snooty response made the hairs along Brackenstride's spine stand rigid, and he glared at her, striding forward so that he was level with the StoneClan cats ahead. "StarClan's Claws can wait. It's the forest that's going to sustain us; we need to see more than just our camp."TAGGED: Phoenix BlooRey DVD Ghost the Undead Goddess Abyss Amber @sable HellionNOTES: 188 Words. [googlefont=Poppins,800][googlefont=Nunito,400,400i,900,900i] [attr="class","topheader"] [attr="class","topheadertitle"] New Location!New Location![attr="class","topheaderb"] [attr="class","anncontent"]Your patrol has discovered a new location: The Gorge Plateau! Board and ImagePrompt Your patrol makes the decision to head deeper into the forest, and the massive split in the earth only becomes more pronounced as you continue onward, following along the edges of nerve-wrackingly steep cliffs. You soon find the split widens until it can only be described as a great gulf of stone and rough earth - the edges of which could find any less careful creature a deadly drop into a jagged stone basin. However, the earthquake seems to have aided in creating a slow and natural descent to the bottom of the gorge in piles of ancient-looking boulders. In the center of the gorge is a curious outcrop thick with trees and undergrowth, like a forested island in the middle of a stony sea. There is no visible way to get to the island without descending into the gorge, where you'd find on the opposite side of the island's cliffs a sort of rocky staircase that leads straight onto it. It is quite clear this is the only way to get on and off the island, and due to the entrance being at the bottom of the gorge, it's incredibly well-hidden. Also at the bottom of the gorge is some sparse undergrowth, quite a lot of collapsed trees, and solid earth that could easily become overgrown in moss seasons from now. Upon further investigation, you find the island is a remarkable refuge, with plenty of spots for shelter as well as masses of thorny bushes that grow with particular density around the edges, forming a sort of natural safety barrier. Overall, this place could be a safe and formidable shelter with some work. From the vantage point of the island, you can see a very thick, dense woods southeast of the island - so dense you can't even see through them. However, to get there you would need to find a crossing point. Luckily, you can also see a massive obstruction directly north from here - a mangled, haunting skeleton of something lying across the split in the rock faces just ahead of the stone basin that surrounds the island. And then, of course, there is still the option to double-back towards StarClan's Claws to see what lies there. [googlefont=Nunito,400,400i,900] MOTHLIGHT WARRIOR OF NIGHTCLAN The forest looked like a giant claw had reached down from the sky and torn straight through the valley, and she found it unsettling to see the extent of the damage wrought in such a short period of time. They were lucky to be alive. And that can still so easily change, Mothlight thought as she nudged a small pebble over the edge of the cliff. Peering over the side to watch it tumble below, she once more appreciated how cooperative the weather was; rainfall likely made walking this path that more perilous. As the sole NightClan cat in a band of TreeClan and StoneClan warriors, she was not oblivious to the hostile glances and pointed cold shoulders that she received from some of of the patrol members, and keenly aware of her audience, she saw fit to not remind them that she, too, technically knew the way to TreeClan’s camp. The island they stopped at offered a good vantage point from which to view the surrounding area, and Mothlight’s tail flicked as she saw the ravine stretch on, wondering idly how far it went. ”There’s no reason we can’t split up,” She mused, turning toward Whitehawk with a question in her voice. ”Is there? We would cover more ground - and be able to see what’s happened to both StarClan’s Claws and TreeClan’s camp faster.”TAGGED: BlooRey DVD Ghost the Undead Goddess @jack Abyss Amber @sable Hellion @ide Fawn Katara NOTES: GorgeClan in the fog/rain: and if all your friends fell off a cliff, would you fall too? HERONDIVE The cream and white she-cat could feel Orioleflight’s weight against her shoulder as the patrol hesitated for a moment. The slightly stocky she-cat’s blue gaze drifted toward her friend a moment, checking that her friend was alright. It seemed to be a thing of comfort though, Orioleflight’s gaze was turned toward others. Pale ear flicked as she listened to voices both familiar and unfamiliar, her eyes tracking over the falling water and landscape forever changed. It wasn’t until one of her Clanmates spoke in a manner that the TreeClanners of the patrol found disrespectful that Hawkstar’s daughter found her attention snapping to the matter at paw.
Though Herondive would never seek attention, finding it to be rather disconcerting at times, she found she couldn’t very well stay silent. Glancing toward the TreeClan tom that had spoken up in retaliation of Brinefang’s words, she spoke carefully and respectfully. “Ultimately, it will be Whitehawk’s decision as the leader of this patrol. However, I do believe… Brackenstride has a point. We should ensure the territory can support Clan life once more before we concern ourselves with much else. StarClan will wait for us. I suppose splitting up isn’t a terrible option but… I think it’s clear that this is no longer the territory that TreeClan knew. Staying together to ensure each other’s safety seems wisest, at least to me.” warrior of stoneclan Ghost the Undead Goddess | background image | table by phoenix

Timberfrost Warrior of Treeclan A striped tail flickered in annoyance as the massive tabby padded closer to those who bore the fading scents of Treeclan, frosted hues slowly shifting over each change in the surrounding landscape as the group moved from area to area. She hadn't expected things to be the same, but neither had she been expecting such drastic changes to behold the Valley. At Heathernose's words a growl threatened to rise within the formidable warrioress, how any cat could be worried by dead warriors was beyond Timberfrost. They weren't searching for a home for their ancestors to live, they were searching for the future of the clans. Shifting her large head, the tabby feline narrowed her cold cerulean gaze at the others around her, ear flickering in Brackenstride's direction. "Splitting up would ensure more territory covered. Those of us from Treeclan can explore deeper into the remaining forests since we are used to such surroundings while the others travel on." Logically that would lead the Stoneclanners to explore whatever was left to the other direction. That sharp gaze of hers finding Heathernose, "Unless you'd rather worry about dead cats to find." Without another word the dark brown tabby started to head towards the density of the looming forest. TAGGED: Fawn Amber @sable Hellion BlooRey DVD Abyss Katara @jack NOTES: She in grump mood o.o

[googlefont=Poppins,800][googlefont=Nunito,400,400i,900,900i] [attr="class","topheader"] [attr="class","topheadertitle"] New Location!New Location![attr="class","topheaderb"] [attr="class","anncontent"]Your patrol has discovered a new location: Great Maple Bridge! Board and ImagePrompt Your patrol heads deeper into the forested territory, skirting the edge of the gorge to your right to go in the direction of the obstruction lying across the cliffs. On your way there, however, you can see to your right that there are lines of trees - some mangled and half-fallen, others still standing strong - and beyond them they seem to thin. Before you can think too much about it though, you look back toward the obstruction and find that you've arrived at your destination. There is a reason the obstruction was so haunting from afar - anyone on your patrol that was once TreeClan will instantly recognize the massive tree that was once their home, and if their reaction isn't enough to clue the others in to this, the mangled nests dangling from a few areas of the huge branches will make it obvious this was a camp. Still, it's not all bad - TreeClan's former home can offer them the protection of a safe crossing now, which might have otherwise been dangerous and worst and lengthly at best, for the alternative is descending into the steep slope of another gorge that splits the territory in two. A few of the longer, wider, and stronger branches have even provided a way down into the gorge that's safer than climbing rocks. And peering down, you do see that it would be worth exploring the bottom of this gorge as well - you can see swathes of more trees below, rich with life and sheltered by the towering ridges on either side of them. From this point, you may cross the tree bridge to explore the eastern half of forested territory, including the pocket of oddly dense trees you saw earlier as well as more sights you've not yet seen. You can also descend north into the gorge to explore the wooded area below that appears so rich with life. Finally, you may also turn around from the tree bridge and head westbound, where you noticed the trees seemed to be getting thinner, as if there might be a water source or other path clearing the way. If your group chooses to split up, now would be the ideal time to do so.Date: Greenleaf 25 - Fog rolls in during the morning, but quickly dissipates beneath the sun. [googlefont=Nunito,400,400i,900] WHITEHAWK WARRIOR OF STONECLAN Many voices sounded around him. Everyone had differing opinions on their next course of action. Continue into Treeclan territory, look for Starclan’s Claws, split up, don’t split up. His single eye scanned across those gathered, taking into account how many cats from each clan there were. It was hard to say what the “correct” thing to do was, considering the tension building, but his chance to consider was lost as a Treeclan cat, Timberfrost was her name?, padded away from the group. “Now hold on, ‘splitting up’ doesn’t mean going off by yourself without warning.” He shot her a stern look, whether she cared was undetermined. “We will split evenly to cover more ground and keep solid numbers. Timberfrost, Brackenstride, Duskrose, Finchcloud, and Chalkpaw will travel further into Treeclan territory.” He looked to his clanmate that he placed within the group of Treeclanners. “Chalkpaw, I want you to go with them so an unbiased eye can also scan the territory. And your scent will be easier to find when we regroup.” He offered a smile to the other tom, hoping he wouldn’t be against being the only Stoneclanner in the group. “Orioleflight, Herondive, Heathernose, Mothlight, and myself will travel towards the center of the valley and see what we find. If possible, both groups can make a big half-circle and meet at the end to share our findings. If there’s any trouble, come back to this spot, or back towards the Tribe.”TAGGED: Amber Phoenix @sable BlooRey DVD Hellion Fawn Ghost the Undead Goddess @jack NOTES: I tried to keep it under 250 -.-' [/quote]

[googlefont=Nunito,400,400i,900] ORIOLEFLIGHT WARRIOR OF STONECLAN Orioleflight couldn’t help but agree with the sentiment that StarClan’s Claws could wait. Sacred grounds meant nothing if there wasn’t land to sustain the cats that called them sacred. It wasn’t even her territory, but it felt wrong to leave before scouting out the rest of the forest, especially since they could swing past the gathering place on their way back to Tribe lands. As they trekked along the edge of the gorge, they came across a veritable island in the middle of it, pausing their journey. There was talk of splitting up and dissent among the ranks, and Orioleflight pressed closer into Herondive’s side. The tension was making her uncomfortable, and Timberfrost’s dismissal and stepping away angered her. Yes, they were of different Clans, but Whitehawk had been chosen to lead the patrol and that choice should be respected. A glimmer of pride shot through her as Whitehawk called the TreeClan warrior out on it. She was happy he was standing up for himself, and the orange and black warrior listened intently as he divided up the patrol. Thankfully, he was keeping himself, Herondive, and herself together; she wasn’t certain she could bear without them. She shot a very small, very grateful smile in his direction. “So, should we cross the tree bridge? Or go down into the gorge?” TAGGED: @sable Hellion @ide Fawn Phoenix BlooRey DVD Ghost the Undead Goddess @jack Abyss KataraNOTES: 220 words Chalkpaw post written by Fawn[googlefont=Nunito,400,400i,900] CHALKPAW APPRENTICE OF STONECLAN Though normally content to listen to whatever it was Heathernose said, Chalkpaw couldn't fight the surge of delighted surprise at Whitehawk turning to address him. "Me?" His blue-and-gold eyes were bright, lanky body seeming to straighten as though filled with a sense of purpose. An unbiased eye! Whitehawk cared what he thought about the territory! Chalkpaw had practically burst with curiosity when Heathernose told him they were part of the exploration team, but her long-winded lecture on StarClan and piety and obeying his betters had knocked the wind out of his sails. Of course this would be another mind-numbing experience. It always was, with Heathernose. Sometimes she could be fun, like when she taught him how to hunt, but most of the time... The she-cat preached like she knew StarClan personally. He'd thought today would be different, but...Somehow seeing all of this destruction had invigorated the she-cat even more. Chalkpaw had been the first to wince at the tension between the scary-looking tabby TreeClan she-cat and Heathernose, feeling the unspoken words hanging over everyone's heads like needles. But now, he had a mission of his very own from a senior warrior. Chalkpaw nodded, tail waving gayly in the air. "I'll do my best, Whitehawk!"TAGGED: @ NOTES: blah blah blah

[googlefont=Poppins,800][googlefont=Nunito,400,400i,900,900i] [attr="class","topheader"] [attr="class","topheadertitle"] New Location!New Location![attr="class","topheaderb"] [attr="class","anncontent"]Your patrol has discovered a new location: Hidden Thicket! Board and ImagePrompt Half of your patrol heads deeper into the territory that's thick with forest, crossing the Great Maple Bridge in order to do so. Those that hail from TreeClan may find themselves relaxing under the cover of branches and rustling leaves above, especially as it grows thicker and thicker - so thick it is clear you are entering an area that feels ancient and mysterious. When you come upon the densely wooded area you spotted earlier, you find the undergrowth here is threaded with the thick roots and branches of powerful trees. However, you and your companions find an opening that you can push through, and within you find a small clearing sheltered (and quite hidden by) this thicket. At its center is a relatively short, but powerful and sprawling tree whose branches have aided the undergrowth in keeping this area so effectively hidden. It is not big enough for a camp, but it's a decent-sized area that could be ideal for training or hiding from large predators. From this point, your patrol's only path will naturally head north, where you will be able to see the trees thin into a large clearing. Your patrol has discovered a new location: Redshade Rift! Board and ImagePrompt The other half of your patrol descends into the gorge to explore the wooded area below. This area opens into pockets of forests that appear to be prey-rich. Continuing further north, you arrive at a location where it's obvious mountain meets forest. A broken cascade of enormous stone slabs are piled dizzingly high - higher than the edge of the grassy slope above your head. Trees - some broken, some surprisingly fully intact - scatter the area, with a few determined ones poking between the cracks of the sheer rock edges, giving the appearance the trees have grown straight through the stone itself. The violent edges of stone are surrounded on both sides by the narrowing ravine edges. This is where the base of the gorge ends - with a climb. Though the height is quite daunting above you, there are the reassuring sounds of prey moving between the crevices of the enormous rock pile. This place would be good for hunting as well. Your only choice from here is to scale the rift on careful and nimble paws until you reach the edge of the slope a few fox-lengths from the ground. Once there, you will be able to ascend the grassy slope to level ground, where the forest yawns before you, and where you will find the other half of your patrol to explore the remaining territory directly east. From here, the forests seem to get thicker and greener, a promising sign of further rich life waiting for you to find. Date: Greenleaf 25 - Fog rolls in during the morning, but quickly dissipates beneath the sun.
