"Don't waste your energy trying to change opinions. Do you and don't care if they don't like it." ~Ivoryrose She took a deep breath and looked up at the position of the sun. It was a boggy morning as the seasons had changed before she could even tell where the time had gone. From the coldness of Leaf-Bare to the thaw of New-Leaf. They had now escalated to Greenleaf. Ivoryrose's favorite time of the season because it meant sunshine above, warm breezes, and plenty of fish in the river. She didn't mind a cool dip either. But, today wasn't about her. In fact...her eyes traveled from the sky to the apprentice den where she knew her new apprentice was housed. A small smile tugged at her features. Ivoryrose had lost hope that she would one day gain an apprentice of her own before she got too old. Now, she would fulfill that one little wish of hers. The white she-cat rose to her paws and began moving leisurely towards the den to peek in; golden orbs getting adjusted to the coolness of the dim den to see if she could spot her apprentice. She was going to pull that furfluff from her sleep so that she could enjoy the day with her and get to know the mischeivious little troublemaker today during some training. The warrior had a plan to take her and her sister out to the River to be able to get the hang of fishing. They were Riverclan cats so it shouldn't come too hard for them but yet again some cats were different than others. Just because one maybe born into a clan didn't automatically mean that they would inherit those particular skills right off the bat. Starclan knew she wasn't a fan of water at first when she was younger and she grew up; born and raised in Riverclan.
"Drizzlepaw! Puddlepaw! Lets go girls. I have some stuff planned for us." Ivoryrose called into the den. She was going to take not only her own apprentice but her sister as well as it was her sister didn't have a mentor to train her just yet. Ivory rose didn't mind though!
The warrior went to lay in the sun while she awaited the apprentice's arrival. Her eyes scanning the campsite to see who all was around. She hoped she did well as a mentor because this could be her only chance to make a lasting impression on the apprentices nowadays. She once dreamed of having a family of her own...but that wasn't meant to be for her it seemed but at least she could care for her apprentices as her own. Amber eyes turned towards the pair of silver gray felines with their sleek short fur as they emerged and smiled slightly.
"I'm going to be taking you girls to the River today. It's an extra hot day today so fishing practice will be our first training stop today. It'll keep you cool on this day too! Would you like to snag something to eat before we go? You can eat it when we get there while I explain things. It'll be a long day for us out here so I don't want you guys to go hungry." she added as she examined both apprentices carefully. No one hunts or trains well on an empty stomach; their brain just didn't work right without a proper meal; Ivoryrose knew that more than most.
Once they were ready she turned and began leading the way towards the River. It wasn't far but they would be out there most of the day training and she wanted to make sure they got all they could out of their training sessions today.
"While we are heading that way would you like to tell me what you know about the River? Has your mother told you anything about it?" she offered looking over her shoulder at the younger she-cats as they walked with her.

This morning Puddlepaw had woken up feeling excited about today. It was a nice change of pace to feel this way once more. She had even started to groom her sleek gray pelt with much more rigor than usual in anticipation of a day of training.
When Ivoryrose called for them Puddlepaw nudged her sister discreetly yet affectionately into her side, an ever so slight tremble in her legs gave away her excitement. Turning to the warrior's voice, the young apprentice lifted her tail in a greeting manner as she approached the white furred cat.
Puddlepaw dipped her head in a respectful manner, like she had practiced with Drizzlepaw the prior night, in an attempt to be prepared and hopefully even impress her mentor with the proper greeting.
"Good morning Ivoryrose. Thank you for getting us", she said. An underlying purr in her voice showed how pleased Puddlepaw was to leave camp in this constellation. Today certainly was going to be a good day. The air even smelled more alive than she could remember it ever had.
When the river was mentioned she could not help her pupils from dilating. Learning how to fish sounded like a splendid lesson of the day. She wondered how they would do, casting a glance at her sister to see what her reaction to these news was.
Her eyes darted around the camp towards the fresh kill however when Ivoryrose suggested eating first. Now that could pose a problem: If she ate now she would have to wait longer to leave but if she took something to eat at the river, she would have her mouth full and thus could not ask nor answer potential questions. Yet if she ate nothing she might grow too hungry and unconcentrated.
She opted to chance it and took a small fish from the pile, it felt fitting for today's theme. Waiting to see what Drizzlepaw would do she gave her sister a slow blink before she beckoned to Ivoryrose that they would be ready to leave.
Puddlepaw was (currently) on the smaller side so she naturally fell behind Ivoryrose on their commute yet held eyes and ears wide open to take in every little detail she could on their way.
Looking up when her mentor did ask a question, as dreaded, Puddlepaw was tempted to talk around the fish in her mouth, but it was as though she could hear the disapproving tsk of her mother. Perhaps that was because mother had been mentioned? Any mention of her still shot like a bolt of lightning thorugh Puddlepaw, taking her out of the moment for a heart beat and she could not help but cast a glance at her sister for comfort.
Eitherway, Puddles decided to adhere to proper manners and somehow managed to secure the fish with her one front leg while still moving forward, which resulted in her hopping along on three legs while she eagerly answered her mentor's question:
"The River is the foundation of RainClan. It gives life in form of water and food." Puddlepaw grabbed the fish with her teeth again, narrowing her eyes at Drizzlepaw just in case, hoping she had not looked too ridiculous just now and unintentionally made herself a laughing stock.
She was curious to see who would speak next, her sister to add to her words or her mentor to confirm or challenge her. tags: Fae Magic , Katara

[googlefont=Nunito:400,700][googlefont=Roboto Condensed][googlefont=Abril Fatface] DRIZZLEPAW 10 moons / rainclan apprentice T he night before, Drizzlepaw had been told her mentor would be preoccupied with other duties, so she was to start her training with Puddlepaw and her mentor, Ivoryrose, for the day. Secretly, she was incredibly relieved by this news; she would have obeyed no matter what if her mentor wanted to train one-on-one with her today, but she had hoped she’d be able to train with her sister, at least in the beginning. She couldn’t bear the thought of being separated from her just yet, and felt happy she’d gotten her way without even breathing a prayer to StarClan. It was just a small way that told her they were indeed looking out for her. Now, they’d been summoned out of the apprentice’s den by Ivoryrose, who seemed especially friendly and kind. Drizzlepaw hadn’t gotten to know her mentor yet, but hoped they would be as friendly as Ivoryrose appeared to be. And she was so pretty—how did she keep her white fur so neat and clean? She exchanged an excited look with Puddlepaw at the prospect of doing fishing training. However, she hesitated as Ivoryrose encouraged them to take something to eat on their way out. The warrior code said that queens and elders must eat before warriors and apprentices, and when she followed her sister to investigate the fresh kill pile, her fur smoothed and her uncertainty vanished. This prey was fresh, caught earlier this morning, and the warriors who brought it back would have already brought the queens and elders their share by now. The possibility of them not doing so was ridiculous—they were warriors! It was their job to follow the warrior code. Drizzlepaw so far hadn’t loved the bites of fish she’d had in the past couple moons, but she was a RainClan cat so she knew she would have to become accustomed to it, and that it would help her swim… or something like that. “[smear:4ba9ae] What do they say about eating fish?[/smear:9bcb69]” she whispered to Puddlepaw. “[smear:4ba9ae] It helps us swim? Maybe Ivoryrose will know.[/smear:9bcb69]” She plucked up a fish just like her sister and the pair of them hurried over to the white warrior, who began to lead them out of camp and toward the river. Ivoryrose posed a question to them, and it was Drizzlepaw’s knee-jerk instinct to immediately respond, but she got halfway through a muffled word before she remembered the fish in her mouth. Fish-brain! she scolded herself. It was rude to talk when she had food in her mouth, even if she wasn’t eating it yet. She met Puddlepaw’s gaze, and found faint dismay there; the mention of their mother, who was dead, must have made her sad for a moment. Of course, Drizzlepaw felt sad too from time-to-time, but she also couldn’t help but feel overjoyed that they were with StarClan now—safe and sound. She drew her tail lightly along her sister’s back, hoping the touch might give her some comfort. Puddlepaw was cleverer, and somehow managed to balance her meal in one paw to respond. Drizzlepaw couldn’t help but giggle at the comedic sight of the gray she-cat hopping along on three legs. But when she glanced back at her, she realized she would need to add an answer too—it wasn’t a training session if all parties weren’t participating. Drizzlepaw raced several paw steps ahead, dropping her fish long enough to respond. “ [smear:4ba9ae]Our mother did tell us a bit about the river. It is the foundation of our Clan,[/smear:9bcb69]” she mewed in agreement, thinking the way Puddlepaw had spoken was quite well-said, “ [smear:4ba9ae]but it can also be dangerous. Both to us young cats, and to the other Clans, which keeps them out of our territory more effectively than any scent-marked border.[/smear:9bcb69]” In her opinion, that was the best thing about RainClan. They were the only cats willing to swim, allowing them to take advantage of terrains like this where the other Clans had an inherent weakness. Picking up her fish again, she made to catch up with Puddlepaw where she had briefly fallen behind. [smear:4ba9ae]tagged[/smear:9bcb69]: Fae Magic, @elek [smear:4ba9ae]notes[/smear:9bcb69]: <3

"Don't waste your energy trying to change opinions. Do you and don't care if they don't like it." ~Ivoryrose As the white warrior led her two apprentices through their territory towards the River she absently scanned the path ahead. Always alert and calm in such matters. There would be no use in panicking the girls if there was a threat which was rare but no one could be too careful. Hearing the uneven paw steps she turned her head to look over her shoulder to see that Puddlepaw was hopping on 3 legs trying to keep her fish from dropping as she tried to keep up with her sister and mentor while trying to answer Ivoryrose's question. The older feline cringed inwardly and would have smacked herself for the fact that she'd told the girls that they could bring food with them and yet expected them to answer questions. How silly of her. Well, that was blunder number one on her part but Puddlepaw didn't seem like she minded the challenge and was all too eager to answer her mentor. DRizzlepaw on the other hand was smarter with her techniques by running ahead to drop her fish and answer then. Ivoryrose kept those two bits in mind as she took notes of the differences between the sisters She did not know how long she'd be teaching Drizzlepaw alongside her sister, but she'd make the most of it Maybe even giving the other mentor a few notes here and there to follow up when Drizzlepaw goes to her own mentor for sole training instead of with her sister.
She also noted one other thing that made the snowy female take pause. They seemed to shift emotions that crossed their faces when she'd asked the question and mentioned their mother; it took Ivoryrose a moment to register how careless her question had been. Anyone who had known these two apprentices beforehand would have known about their mother; Ivoryrose foolishly did not. She had regrettably realized that she had focused so much on her warrior duties that she had not often gotten to know the business of other clan mates so she hadn't paid much attention to the kits before now so she hadn't known that their mother was not in the picture. She wanted to apologize but decided that would just ruin the moment and she'd blundered on ahead enough as it was. Instead, she chose to go direct and focus back on the training.
"That's a good point; exactly! The river is a source of water for our clan as well as an excellent place for fishing for food. It's a large body of water that keeps other clans away because they are not as adapted to the water as we are who grew up on these lands. Knowing the River is a key in a Riveclannner's life." she smiled slightly and gave them a playful smile pretending to look around as if others may hear even though it was just the three of them out there.
"Want to know a secret? I'm not a fan of the water myself." she mock whispered before straightening up and giving them a warm smile as she continued walking. "I can swim alright and everything just like any strong Riverclan cat can. I'm just not too fond of the water. Just remember, even if you do not like the water does not make you any less of a Riveclanner alright? she gave them an encouraging smile.
The journey did not take long before the sound of rushing water reached their ears. Despite saying the river was not her favorite when it came to swimming and getting wet Ivoryrose still could not deny the fact that the look and sound of it gave her peace. There was something about it that called to her at a deeper level than just a source of fish and hydration. She sat down beside it and stared down at the surface seeing her own reflection. Flashing her reflection a small smile she spoke almost absently; a certain tone in her voice that spoke of deeper feelings than her words could portray.
"Even though I was not fond of the water growing up like most Riverclanner's. I could never deny it's pull. It's a source of life that goes beyond the the elements that give us survival. It's a force that is endless and boundless in time; it gives life not only to us but other animals and plants that help us live our lives. It gives water to the mammels that we hunt so they may live so that we may hunt them with Starclan's blessing so that we may also live. The River gives us fish that live within so that we may never grow hungry. It gives water to the plants that grow the herbs and food for other animals and also help the air stay clean and pure for us to breathe. It is a force that should be respected." she looked back at the girls with a calm expression that did nothing to hide the serious message her words brought.
"Just remember, just because you may not like the water does not mean you should ever disrespect it." she gave a small smile before motioning for them to come closer to the water. "Tell me, what you do see when you look at the water? Do you just see ripples, maybe some fish beneath, your reflection on top? Water had many layers despite its liquidity." she reached out and splashed a paw into the cool water.
"Now, If you are finished eating shall we begin? I want to show you a quick technique that I learned when I was training. It's not a technique that many know. I prefer to hunt smarter rather than harder. Since I am not a fan of getting wet, I'll show you three different hunting styles when it comes to fishing. First, I'll show you the kind that I generally use since I'm not a fa of water. Then I will show you the general way that most Riverclanner's use. Each cat generally have their own style of hunting even if it's the same technique; a different signature that's a little different than the last even if they are taught the same. And then thirdly, I'll show you the way that generally gets you soaked through and through but it's a lot of fun; or so others say. It's a bit risky though if you aren't a strong swimmer so we can start slow. You girls ready?" she grinned at them and examining their excitement levels. Puddlepaw was all too glad Drizzlepaw had come along, slow-blinking at her sister when she ran her tail along her flank. It was not that she would feel uncomfortable being alone with Ivoryrose but her sister's presence was Puddles' favourite thing in the world. And she did make a good point about the river being dangerous too.
Puddlepaw glanced at her sister when she passed her while Drizzlepaw spoke, wondering whether this technique might have been the better one to answer but decided that she was fine with being the source of other cats' amusement. Being funny was a positive trait after all, wasn't it?
She was pleased when it turned out they had both been correct and had effectively participated in the lesson already. Once they reached the river and halted, Puddlepaw lay her fish down and tentatively took some bites from it. She knew how important nourishment was but she felt anxious to begin with the practical part of the lesson.
Her eyes widened when Ivoryrose told them her secret. Puddles was in awe that even warriors had their secrets and this made her feel better about having her own- even from her sister. She silently vowed to keep her mentor's abrehension about the water to herself. RainClan cats were expected to like the water, weren't they? And she had never thought of Ivoryrose as anything less but a warrior to be respected.
"I suppose not," she said after a small moment of pondering. "Maybe it makes you even more warrior if you don't like the water yet still live off the river. Warriors are supposed to be brave, right?" Her voice grew softer at the end as she was not too confident about her view. Her mentor had looked at them encouragingly though so she did not take it back.
She looked at the water as Ivoryrose told them about the pull of the river. The way the white she-cat talked it was as though Puddlepaw too became entranced by the steady movement and rushing sound of the river and she felt as though she had known it all her life despite being so inexperienced in every way. It was beautiful and Puddlepaw decided then and there that she liked the river.
Her gaze involuntarily flicked towards Drizzlepaw at the mention of StarClan's blessing, assuming her sister wholeheartedly agreed with that sentiment. Puddlepaw on the other paw had long since started questioning why everything had to be blessed by ghosts. She had never voiced any questions to anyone, especially not to her sister, figuring it would be rude to do so, but ever since she had been very aware of every mention of them.
She got up and edged closer to the water when Ivoryrose asked them what they saw and watched the white cat put a paw into the river. Squinting her eyes she thought she could see some shadowy movement underneath some ripples on the opposite side but she was not entirely sure those meant what she thought.
Pointing at them she asked: "Are those fish over there? Or just some water based plants underneath the surface?"
At the mention of three different techniques Puddlepaw tried to exchange a glance with Drizzlepaw. That sounded like a lot to learn and she would be glad to even master one of them eventhough she was eager for a challenge. 'Smarter than harder' sounded good to her though and she was suddenly very pleased her mentor seemed like the smart kind. She supposed she could learn even more from her then. Puddles even purred a little in excitement.
The 'fun way' also sounded good eventhough Puddlepaw did not quite know what kind of swimmer she was. It did sound like a technique Riverpaw would would be fond of- if he ever got over the trauma the river had given him and she hoped he did so that maybe someday they could have this kind of fun fishing together- if he ever forgave her for sending him away that was.
She looked at her mentor, wondering if she was the fun kind too. Perhaps they could even be friends one day? Puddlepaw was sure she would like that. Or wouldn't she? No, she would. It would be a friendship after all, she was not replacing her mother with her mentor.
Realising she had let her thoughts drift of, she forced herself to snap back and focus on the lesson. She swiftly flicked her tongue across her muzzle in embarrassment when she remembered Ivoryrose had asked them a question.
"I am ready to learn!", she said, shaking out her limbs and digging her front paws into the wet soil as if underlying her statement. She tried to look as serious as possible but her gaze sprung between the river, her sister and her mentor in anticipation, giving away that she felt excited. tags: Fae Magic ; Katara

[googlefont=Nunito:400,700][googlefont=Roboto Condensed][googlefont=Abril Fatface] DRIZZLEPAW 10 moons / rainclan apprentice I t wasn't long before the sound of rushing water met their ears, and as soon as they halted near the river, Drizzlepaw began to take rapid, neat bites from the fish she'd carried, and Puddlepaw's presence beside her told her that she was doing the same. Ivoryrose continued her lesson and the apprentice kept her ears pricked, ready to sit up straight and alert again once the warrior turned toward them again. It was moments later that she did, and Drizzlepaw quickly straightened up from her half-finished meal to look at Ivoryrose, as the RainClan cat whispered conspiratorially to them, " Want to know a secret? I'm not a fan of the water myself." Her eyes widened a fraction in surprise, and a tiny wave of a relief went through her. If Ivoryrose was able to admit she didn't much like water, then surely it was okay for her to not love fish. Ivoryrose would still swim and get in the water, and Drizzlepaw would still go on eating fish - liking or disliking those things that strengthened the identity of a RainClan cat was something that Drizzlepaw felt was their duty. It did feel a bit reassuring that Ivoryrose had a similar struggle, but didn't feel like any less of a RainClan cat because of it. Still, she was reluctant to admit such a thing aloud, and felt a touch of respect for the white warrior for feeling comfortable enough with herself to tell them that. It seemed her sister was on her same train of thought. "[smear:4ba9ae] Yes![/smear:9bcb69]" she agreed. "[smear:4ba9ae] You're brave, Ivoryrose! That's the difference between us and the other Clans,[/smear:9bcb69]" she chirped, not bothering to elaborate. She felt sorry for the other Clans, who lived their lives in fear and hatred of the water. Especially as Ivoryrose went on, describing everything the river selflessly gave to them, she became more and more certain that StarClan favored RainClan above all others, and it was only the other Clans' silly fear of a bit of water that held them back. Even Ivoryrose, who didn't like the water, was far braver and nobler than any of their NightClan neighbors. She knew what it was to sacrifice her comfort in pursuit of serving her Clan, and Drizzlepaw respected her a lot for that. The white warrior gestured for them to come closer to the river. Drizzlepaw quickly finished off the last of her fish before joining her sister and Ivoryrose at the riverbank, her tail quivering in excitement. She'd never been allowed near the river before, only the gentle, tiny stream that ran through the camp where she had learned how to swim. The river was far more powerful upstream, she knew, but it was calmer where they stood now. When Ivoryrose asked what they could see, both sisters' noses dipped closer to the water. Puddlepaw was quick to point out a darker blur beneath the surface, and the other sister tracker the movement with flickering eyes. "[smear:4ba9ae] Yes, it is fish![/smear:9bcb69]" she mewed excitedly, her tail waving madly as she straightened up, already thinking about how she could impress the mentor by trying to catch something right away. But, the dark shape suddenly sped away, and Drizzlepaw drew back in dismay when she realized her own shadow had spooked the fish. "[smear:4ba9ae] Oops,[/smear:9bcb69]" she said. Well, fish were rather stupid right? It wouldn't be long before it returned. Ivoryrose laid out her plan for teaching them fishing skills, and she felt as if she could bounce on her paws with excitement. She kept her enthusiasm to a minimum this time, her emotion betrayed only by the rapid flicks of her tail. "[smear:4ba9ae] I am too![/smear:9bcb69]" Drizzlepaw piped up after Puddlepaw. "[smear:4ba9ae] Oh![/smear:9bcb69]" She suddenly remembered her earlier thoughts. "[smear:4ba9ae] Is it true that fish help us swim better? Or is it something in the fish that makes us waterproof?[/smear:9bcb69]" She'd often seen warriors return to camp after fishing with mostly dried pelts, with only beads of water glistening at the very ends of their fur. When she'd someone how that happened, they'd been halfway through an explanation when they'd been interrupted by a request, and she'd never learned the answer. "Don't waste your energy trying to change opinions. Do you and don't care if they don't like it." ~Ivoryrose She was glad to see that the girls were excited for the lesson. The warrior new hard excited she had been let alone terrified of the water so she hoped that she would be able to help the girls with their fear and get them comfortable in the water. She was truthful though, you didn't need to like the water to be live as a Rainclanner. There was so much more that made a Rainclan cat a cat from that clan but it was a perk. As she looked at one apprentice to the next she couldn't help the smile that tugged at the corner of her lips from the palpable excitement she felt from them as well as their curious nature. Looking back at the water and seeing the shadows within just under the surface she couldn't help but smirk remembering just how fun she had it trying to catch those slippery buggers. She didn't like it at first but once she got the idea of how to do it she realized it was rather found. Making a game out of it always helped her get things done or make it seem a different way so that it was easier for her to get it done; perhaps the sisters were like that too. Her ears perked up when she heard the question drawing her from her memories and her yellow orbs turned towards the small gray females beside her before settling on Drizzlepaw who'd asked the question. A little chuckle left her maw as she tipped her head playfully.
'You know what? That's a good question! I'd say both ideas are valid. It's like the chicken and the egg theory in a way. There is no right or wrong answer to that question because it depends on who's asking it I suppose. My opinion personally I think its both! The fish holds many good qualities for our diet for survival. Whatever the fish has in it's body helps us swim better as well as keep our coats sleek and smooth. Everyone's diet can change the appearance of your physical being. Just like those in other clans every different prey each animal has their own health benefits that help us grow. In our case, the fat and protein in the fish helps our coats grow thick and glossy; it's affect helping us glide through the water like otters to repel the water. So both in a way." she replied before shifting on her paws and rose. "Alright, lets get started! I'm going to show you the more technical way to do things. This technique not only helps you learn patience but it helps with focus. This is the style that you get less wet with unless you aren't careful and fall in; if that happens I'll be here to fish you out of the water; pun intended." she joked before leading them towards a line of rocks that jutted from the water and carefully jumped onto the first and then the second before bouncing off of the one after it to settle on the largest there. Here it was a little submerged in the water so her paws got a little wet but she was used to it. The other rocks were above water so the girls should be fine.
Making sure she was not in the middle of the water where it was deeper in case the girls did accidentally fall in she beckoned them to follow her onto the rocks side her. Sitting down carefully she looked down at the water as she spoke; carefully eyeing the shadows that swam past. "It's pretty simple but I'll go slow with the explanations. This means we must be patient too, you aren't expected to get a fish on the first time but that's why we are training. So, basically to put it simply we sit here and wait for a fish to come into reach before darting our paw inside the water to snatch the fish up. Now, this can be tricky because of a few things. Firstly, we have to be quick or else the fish will swim away; remember the fish are in their natural habitat; living and breathing this water so it's very easy for them to escape and secondly, we must make sure they they are not too far out of our reach that if we move quickly we will fall into the water so you must make the right judgement call when you are focusing on the fish." she half crouched on the rock and stared into the water a long moment before a shadow passed by and with a flash she reached out to catch it in the air but missed. She did this on purpose as a way of showing the girls an error in the technique; will they catch what she did wrong? Drawing back and shaking the water from her whiskers she looked at them.
"Now, can you tell me what I did wrong with that move?" she asked patiently. If they were paying attention and were as smart as they seemed to be they'd have caught a simple error that could easily be mistaken. That being that she'd allowed most of her shadow to cross the water's surface which alerted the fish that she was there and secondly, that she'd reached too far for the fish. Interest peaking now that Drizzlepaw also had identified the dark spots as fish Puddlepaw only tore her gaze away from them when her sister asked about a fish based diet helping a cat be a better swimmer. Instead she fixed her gaze back onto her mentor as she started explaining the importance of their diet and its influence on the shape of a cat. She wondered whether the diet of prey also bore an influence to that and if a fish only ate other fish and she then ate that fish in return, would that shape her into a super swimmer? Perhaps if the all ate only fish-eating fish then RainClan would slowly turn into cats that could swim for ever and maybe even one day breath under water! Now wouldn't that be neat? Puddles was sure her eyes were ablaze when Ivoryrose officially started training and she chuckled at the thought of the white warrior having to fish them both out of the water. Now, it would probably not be all that funny to get drenched but what a great story to tell when they got ho- Ah. She had nearly forgotten she had no one to tell stories to now. Drizzlepaw was already here and she hadn't spoken to Riverpaw since... Oh well. Clearing her throat Puddlepaw crouched down with a good view of her mentor while she demonstrated the technique. She was feeling excited yet tried not to miss a single thing Ivoryrose did. She was rather disappointed when her paw resurvaced without prey and Puddlepaw tilted her head slightly when asked what her mentor did wrong. "You weren't patient enough for the fish to come into close enough proximity...?", she let her voice trail off. It somehow felt rude to discuss her mentors mistake.
