Name: (Rowankit), Rowanpaw, (Rowanleaf)
Age: 6 moons
Gender: she-cat
Clan: StoneClan
Rank: Apprentice
Picture: kit/apprentice warrior
Description: Rowanpaw is fluffy currently, her kitten fluff not quite grown out of yet, a grey tabby colour with amber eyes that reflect the sunlight. As she grows, her pelt will lose its fluff and become more sleek and short-haired. She has long whiskers – something that she’ll never lose, they will grow with her – and short ears. She has one white stocking, on her rear left leg, the rest of her legs being grey. She has flecks of black that look like rings around her neck, stomach and legs. She has a long tail, that seems out of proportion to the rest of her as a kit; she’ll grow into it as she gets older.
Description Summary: Small gray tabby she-cat with amber eyes and long whiskers.
Personality:
• Compassionate (+): Rowanpaw wouldn’t let any cat suffer – regardless of clan. This can be both a blessing and a curse and probably cause her to get in trouble at various points in her life (to the consternation of her leader, deputy and medicine cat(s)).
• Friendly (+): Rowanpaw is friendly to all cats in her clan, from the smallest kit to the eldest elder. She finds that it’s much better to get along with everyone, because she never knows who will need her help or who she will need help from.
• Loyal (+): Rowanpaw would defend her Clan, and Clanmates, to her detriment; out of a deep-seated loyalty to not only her clan, but to the warrior code as well. If faced with a situation where she would have to choose between two cats, she would take her time to truly think about it and consider the ramifications before she chose – but she would remain loyal to her Clan and to herself and her beliefs as well.
• Ambivalent to Ambition (~): Rowanpaw is ambitious, but not as ambitious as most of her den-mates. While they all want to be the best warriors they can be, all Rowanpaw wants from life is to be happy. Whatever form that happens to take.
• Dedicated (~): She is dedicated to her training and intends to learn all she can, while under the tutelage of her mentor.
• Respectful (~): As a product of her upbringing, Rowanpaw has a deep respect for every cat, regardless of who they are and what clan they are in.
• Clumsy (-): Rowanpaw is the sort of cat who could fall over her own tail (and frequently does. Tail, paws, she’ll trip over them.)
• Cynical (-): As a result of the relationship (if it could be called that) her parents had while she was a kitten, she is not a romantic by any stretch of the imagination; any cat who would try to woo her would have to work very hard to get her affection.
• Vain (-): Her main focus (aside from training) is keeping herself clean. Her daily grooming routine is vitally important to her, and if interrupted can cause an extremely cranky cat to appear.
History: Birchstep and Mallowtail were two cats who should never have had a litter of kittens. Their relationship was the type filled more with tit-for-tat and snide remarks than love and romance. Mallowtail gave birth to two kits, Rowankit and Troutkit, but Troutkit died very early. Both kits were born too soon, but Rowankit, the eldest and bigger of the two, survived while her brother did not. She does not remember him; he died before she had even opened her eyes. Mallowtail and Birchstep, together, made the conscious decision not to tell Rowankit about her brother, but to act as if she was their only kit. Her upbringing, mainly by her mother – Birchstep was too busy ‘hunting’ and ‘patrolling’ to pay too much attention to his mate and his daughter aside from making hurtful comments to the both of them – was largely uneventful, her mother being far from a doting parent, but she did her duty and got her daughter to the age of six moons, safe in the confines of the nursery. When Rowankit started to get underpaw, her mother sent her out into the camp, under the watchful eyes of several warriors, to get out from underneath her for a bit. She spent most of that time of freedom in the elder’s den, enraptured by the endless stories.
Now she’s reached the tender age of six moons, is beginning her apprenticeship, and looks forward to attempting to make her mother and father proud of her.
