DETAILED INFORMATION [attr="class","box1"]APPEARANCE Summary » A large long-furred torbie with narrow golden-green eyes. The first notable thing about Splash are her eyes. They are narrow in shape, furrowed as if in a frown and sharp in both appearance and colour. Her irises are a striking gold with flecks of green, a colour most would describe as hazel. Her pelt is an interesting mix of tabby and tortoiseshell. She has thick, swirling stripes that cut through her fur, giving her a very tiger-esque demeanour. Her tabby fur is splashed with orange and grey, the colour combination that gave her the name "Splash". She is rather large for her age, with a thickset and intimidating build. She has broad features and sturdy legs. Her thick coat of fur is both a blessing and a curse. Splash appreciates that it keeps her warm in the harsh and unpredictable environment of the mountains, but that gift comes with a cost. Often, she struggles when it comes to snow. Her long coat catches snow so easily and clumps of it become uncomfortably knotted in her pelt. She has small, pointed ears that end in fluffy tufts. Splash has a somewhat short to average length tail, which she usually holds above her back to keep it from dragging along the ground. Her muzzle, chest and stomach are spotted with an uneven coating of white. Splash has an adorable little pink nose, her only feature that takes away from her mildly intimidating appearance. Even as a kit, she will default to a mildly brooding look, as though she is sulking or otherwise unhappy about something. PERSONALITY Splash is a very smart little kit, and catches on to things quite easily. She is excellent at problem-solving and planning, and she most certainly knows it. She seems quite mature for her age in most regards, and when she speaks to adult cats she attempts to sound grown-up herself. Sometimes, due to being a kit, she fails to do this. Her intelligence also comes with her ability to learn from past mistakes and the mistakes of others, even if she will never admit to them. Splash will do anything for her family and for her Tribe. She adores them and longs desperately to prove herself and her siblings to others. She is fiercely protective of Dawn and Stone, and would shred a cat for so much as looking at them funny. She is a hard-working, dedicated cat, even as a kit. She can often be seen offering to help out around the cave with minor tasks, and will become indignant if other cats tell her she is too small to be helping out. If Splash isn't impressing everyone around her, she certainly isn't happy. She always needs to be the best at everything, even minor things. She strives to excel and is extremely hard on herself when she doesn't. Splash is desperate to prove herself and tends to throw herself into the spotlight. She has a way of bringing the topic of conversation back to her or something impressive that she did. Her need for admiration also inspires good things from her as well, since she is hard-working and certainly couldn't be called lazy. Splash naturally doesn't have the best manners that any cat ever saw. She can be extremely rude and condescending to other cats, sometimes even unintentionally. Respect really has to be earned with her and even then there are times when she may lose her temper with those she admires. She often says offensive things without considering the consequences of her words on others, something that tends to sour her relationship with other cats. Splash has a barbed tongue and is easily annoyed. Her frustration quickly boils into anger, and she is quick to trade verbal blows with other cats. She is certainly willing to get physical when an argument escalates and it is rare that she ever admits her wrongs. Any cat that gets an apology out of her is a truly blessed cat indeed. This is the worst side to Splash, but thankfully things don't typically escalate that far with her. Usually, her grumpiness ends with a snappy comment and a snide remark here and there. Their mother struggled to produce enough milk to keep her three kittens fed, and their lives began with the harsh reality of rogue life. Splash was barely old enough to remember the day their mother left them in their makeshift den to go and find food. The kits had nearly begun transitioning to solid food, and hadn't even started speaking yet. Pebble was plucked up by an eagle while out hunting, and dropped onto a harsh rocky peak. She died on impact. Pebble's body was discovered by a patrol of Tribe cats, who quickly realised that she had recently been nursing kittens. They put every effort into trying to track down and rescue Pebble's orphaned litter, and to their relief, Snow and Dusk discovered the kits hidden away in their nearby den. A murder of crows had been attempting to kill them, but the Tribe cats rescued the kits and chased off the would-be predators. Snow and Dusk decided to adopt the kittens as their own and raise them as members of the Tribe. They were then named according to Tribe tradition and taken back to the safety of the cave. When the flood drove RainClan to seek shelter with the Tribe, Splash discovered a curiosity about the Clans that she never knew she had. She spent a lot of time "playing with" (interrogating) the Clan kits on their way of life, their homes and their prey. Fascinated by the idea of large groups of cats living so differently to her own Tribe, Splash longs to go to the Clan gatherings as a To-Be, and has become extremely impatient to begin her training. Her restlessness was growing by the day, and she demanded the attention of any Clan cat who happened upon their cave. That was, until the faithful day came when Splash herself would be named a To-Be of the Tribe. Her training begins with her new guide, Rooster, and the adventure of the mountains stretching forward before her.
