Description:
As his name would suggest, Mousenose is a smaller bodied tom. His medium length fur is the only thing that keeps him from looking as though he were starving. He lacks any true muscle so he's a thin and lithe individual under the fur. This allows him to move quickly and squeeze through some spots that others cats would get stuck. So it's not uncommon to spot him in strange locations when out on a hunt or patrol.
His fur is patterned like that of a mackeral tabby. His base fur a charming silver color, the stripes a darker gray. While the rest of his body is varying shades of grayish silver, right above his nose is a light splash of tan fur. Golden eyes perched not far above the splash of color. Speaking of which, his muzzle is much thinner than the average cat. It gives his overall appearance a very unique look compared to his peers. All of this ties right back into his chosen name. The leader felt that "Mousenose" suited him all too well and most would agree.
Description Summary:
A small, silver mackeral tabby tom with golden eyes.
Personality:
The first most noticeable thing about Mousenose is that he loves the water. He's one of the many Rainclan cats who actually have no issues with being wet. This being said, he's commonly spotted fishing when he's out on a hunt versus chasing down mice or rabbits. In fact, he's almost always caught out by the water somewhere. Mousenose finds solace and peace just listening to running water or even rain. It's almost like his own version of meditation and a way to calm his thoughts.
Much like the creeks and streams he enjoys fishing, Mousenose is a calm fellow. While he does show emotions, he really doesn't get worked up over anything. He just keeps a cool demeanor even in the worse of times. He doesn't see a reason in stressing himself and others out over everything. Life is way too short to worry so much.
Despite his calm and collected demeanor, deep down Mousenose is full of envy. He has always been picked on for the shape of his face so there are times he sits and gets jealous of those "normal-looking" cats. His appearance is something that makes him insecure inside, even though it might not show. He tries to keep these feelings of jealousy inside but it's only a matter of time before it builds until bursting point. His "meditation" sessions only help him so much.
History:
Silverwind - Silver Mackeral Tabby - Mother - Alive - Rainclan Warrior - ??
Quickfoot - Brown Spotted Tabby - Father - Alive - Formerly of Rainclan, Now a Rogue - ??
Mistysky - Silver Spotted Tabby - Sister - Alive - Rainclan Warrior - ??
Gingersprig - Calico - Wetnurse - Alive - Rainclan Warrior - ??
Kestreltalon - Brown Tabby - "Almost like a brother" - Alive - Rainclan Warrior - ??
Crowfoot - Black and White tom - Mousenose's Mentor - Rainclan Warrior - ??
Jaycry - Silver Tom - Kestraltalon's Mentor - Rainclan Elder - Deceased
Blackflower - Long-haired, Black She-cat - Mistysky's Mentor - Rainclan Warrior - ??
Silverwind and Quickfoot were a young couple in Rainclan who thought they were in love. From this naive love came two kits, Mistykit and Mousekit. Mistykit was perfect to her parents, in everyway. She had a beautiful spotted coat that was a nice mix of her parents coats and she had a fun loving personality. Mousekit, on the other hand, was a different story. His strange shaped muzzle actually caused some major disagreements between Silverwind and Quickfoot. Quickfoot began to actually question Silverwind's loyalties and claimed that Mousekit was in no way his. He totally disowned the little tom and would constantly throw insults at the kit for his looks. Mousekit, while seemingly calm, became very insecure of himself at a very young age. In fact, some would say he devloped this issue way too young.
It didn't take long before Silverwind and Quickfoot parted ways. Unfortunately, the two ended on a very bad note. When Silverwind revealed she had enough of him constantly putting her and their son down, Quickfoot went haywire. He demanded that he be able to see his "kit" whenever he wanted and claimed she had no right to get mad about the things he said. When she refused him and said she no longer wants him near her family, he attacked her. The two fought and rolled around the clearing until finally they were tore apart by their fellow clanmates. Quickfoot, did not allow the other warriors to stop him however, going right back at her every chance he could. This caused the clan to make a quick decision on the matter. It was decided that Quickfoot was potentially a harm to all of the clan and he was chased from the territory. Silverwind was injured during the battle and was forced to stay with the medicine cat for a couple of moons until she fully recovered. During this time, the kits were nursed by another queen in the nursery, Gingersprig. Gingersprig had one kit of her own so she had plenty of milk to help Silverwind's little ones. Kestrelkit, her son, became almost like a brother to Mistykit and Mousekit. The three getting on famously together. During this time with his wetnurse, Mousekit developed his calm and collected persona. She helped to teach him that life is too short to act like his father had. He took this to heart.....just like his father's words unfortunately.
At 6 moons, the three kits were all named apprentices during the same clan meeting. Kestrelpaw was given the mentor Jaycry, an older silver tom who was known for his fighting technique. Mistykit was mentored by Blackflower, a long haired, black she-cat who was very kind and gentle. Crowfoot, a black and white tom, was named as Mousepaw's mentor. After the ceremony, the three quickly went off with their mentors to start training. Luckily for them, there were many opportunities for them to train together and learn new things from each other's mentors. This was around the time that it was discovered how well Mousepaw did with water. His swimming skills were exceptional so Crowfoot would focus on swimming and fishing here and there. Mousepaw learned how much he loved the water and just being around it during this time. It helped to calm him and kept his "bad thoughts" at bay. So anytime he could convince Crowfoot to train near the water, he would.
The rest of Mousepaw's training wasn't the most eventful time and his warrior ceremony seemed to come very quickly. While not trying to play on his insecurities, the leader chose the name Mousenose. Mousenose did not hate the name and understood the reason behind it. But deep down it flared up his insecurity about his appearance pretty badly. So he waited for Kestrelpaw (Kestreltalon) and Mistypaw's (Mistysky) ceremonies to finish before he took off to meditate near the water. It was a way to straighten his thoughts. His "siblings" would constantly join him when he'd go off like this. The three staying fairly close to one another. To this day, they are each other's best friends and bring each other up whenever they are down.
