Owlmind
LightningClan || 63 Moons || Senior Warrior
Restlessness was practically running ramped through her entire form.
The senior warrior had, for the first time since leaving her apprentice title behind, slept away from the familiar comfort of the Warrior den, trading for the softer surroundings of the nursery. It had been a direct order by Firestar, after also being told the gray warrioress, or rather queen was forbidden to leave camp until after she gave birth. It drove her crazy to not do anything, not doing something to aid her clanmates as she lay sprawled out within her soft nest.
There was a flicker of the she-cat's ear before she rolled over to pull herself onto her paws. Her fully belly was wide in comparison to her normally lithe, lanky form. Owlmind had the slight impression that she looked like a plump vole upon long legs, or at least that was how she felt sometimes. Emotionless gaze scanned the dark den, Cloudyfeather snored softly as the permanent queen napped away. A sigh parted the senior queen's gray maw before she managed to slip herself out of the Nursery, the sun feeling nice and warm upon her short pelt.
Wide amber eyes made contact with the young warrior sitting by Lightingclan's camp entrance. A sliver of annoyance ran down her spine at the fact that there was a cat on guard to make sure she stayed within camp during the remainder of her pregnancy. Her paws itched to be doing something productive but it was growing harder and harder for her to do much without becoming winded or tired. The growing kits within her belly practically eating away her strength.
Half way through her soft pad towards the elder's den, the gray feline paused to hiss slightly, swearing the future warriors within her swollen belly were already practicing their battle techniques. Owlmind's long tail flickered slightly, resuming her journey once the pressure on her lungs softened enough for her to breath normally.
She was pleased to see the brown and white tabby father of her kits laying outside the Elder's Den, the queen didn't really feel like crawling back into one at the moment. She was lucky Firestar didn't ban her from leaving the Nursery, that definitely would have driven her mad. "How do she-cats do this all the time." The queen huffed as she finally made her way to Quailfoot's side, lowering her haunches to sit as her wide belly bulged even more.
"I feel like a fat mouse." Sarcasm seeped into her familar, raspy tone as the slightest glimmer of fondness swam within her amber gaze. Despite her petty annoyances, Owlmind was truly happy to be growing future Lightingclan warriors. It was quite an honor to be a queen within any clan's eye, after all, without queens then there would be no clans. Each time she felt a slight movement from her growing brood within her stomach, it brought a flutter to her heart and a brightness to her normally blank gaze.

Wisdom. Courage. Strategy.
