Name: Mousepaw (Mousefeather)
Age: 9 moons
Gender: she-cat
Clan: NightClan
Rank: Apprentice
Picture:
Description:
Mousepaw takes heavily after her mother Silverlight. She is small in stature, though looks a bit larger than she really is thanks to her long fur. Her plush fur is mostly white, but a pale silver mask-like marking covers most of her face, with darker gray vague tabby markings. This silvering continues down her back, and along her spine turns nearly black in color. Her plumed tail is silver, with the same near black along the top. Her eyes are large and a pleasant light green, like new growth in newleaf. Her nose stands out in sharp contrast to her pale coloration, a bright reddish color, with her pawpads being the same color as her nose.
Description Summary: A small, fluffy, silver and white she-cat with light green eyes.
Personality:
Mousepaw, in a word, is apathetic. She cares about very little and tends toward laziness. She is highly intelligent, with a great mind for strategy even at a young age. She learns quickly and gets bored just as fast, not out of a lack of focus, but for lack of challenge. If the task set to her is not mentally stimulating enough, she quickly tires of it, and finds something better to do, even against instruction or direct orders. That something better might just end up being a nap if she can't find anything a bit more interesting to keep her occupied. She seems to all to be perpetually bored, and has a habit of complaining about it, much to the annoyance of those around her. She seems to suffer company rather than enjoy it, and will remain with NightClan simply for the safety it provides to live in a group, the access to a medicine cat to tend her ills and wounds.
She is highly logical and finds it very hard to relate to others, emotional outbursts leave her rather at a loss, and will likely have her walking away and leaving a cat standing there who may need comfort or calming down. To say she is socially awkward is an understatement. Incredibly stoic, she is very hard to rile to any sort of emotional extreme and seems to have two moods, content or annoyed. When annoyed, she tends toward sarcasm, and has a very dry sense of humor. Veiled insults are common, and one can never be quite sure if they're receiving a compliment or a put down from the silver she-cat. She does not seem to have much of a sense of loyalty, but despite her boredom leading her astray at times, she is generally obedient simply to avoid obnoxious punishments.
At her core, there is a loneliness there, underlying everything. Her personality makes it hard for cats to want to know her and be around her, and she finds most other cats so tedious she prefers to be alone than spend time with them. But really she does want friends, she just has no idea how to connect, and her options for friendship are not exactly promising prospects either. With no ambition for Clan life, she coasts through life with no real direction, unsure just what she wants for her future.
History: Born to unremarkable warriors, Oakblaze and Silverlight, Mousepaw was named with her father's beloved mentor Ratfur in mind, while the couple thought it cute to name their other kit, a son, Acornkit, as acorns come from oaks. Mousepaw has never found this endearing. With simple parents and a simple brother, from a very young age the highly intelligent Mousekit felt out of place in her own family, as if she had been born to the wrong cats. Her parents showered her with love and affection, her brother was playful and no more annoying than any normal sibling, but she grew increasingly tired of them all as the 6 moons of her confinement to the nursery wore on. She found herself looking forward to her apprenticeship and the freedom it would offer her more and more, but was mildly disappointed when it finally came. At this point in her life, she can't recall why she ever looked forward to having to hunt for her Clanmates day in and day out, and change disgusting bedding, and pick ticks off smelly old elders. She hesitates to look forward to warriorhood, which she is quite certain will be more of the same. The only real hitch in her otherwise boring life thus far was the death of her mother, Silverlight, who was recently killed by a fox while out hunting.
Other: Her brother Acornpaw is available for adoption~
