FEELS EASIER TO JUST SWIM DOWN
Firestar had considered for a brief moment to have Larkpaw's warrior ceremony be at the end of Spark-kit, Shadekit and Ivykit's ceremonies but at the last minute she changed her mind. Larkpaw desereved to be awarded her warrior name with full honors, she earned her moment of fame.
Gathering herself up Firestar tested the limits of her recovered muscles to sprint up the hilltop. A manageable task now that newleaf was in full swing. Sitting down with her short tail, poking out behind her. The clan was settling in for the evening, the sun already set and the moon, a small sliver, started to show in the sky. Now was a good time.
Yowling to get her clanmate's attention, her words carried well."Let gathers old enough to chase their prey gather below the hill top for a Clan meeting," Watching as the cats gathered closer together, Firestar set her sights on Larkpaw and once the apprentice was settled she rose to her paws.
Larkpaw, come forward," Firestar requested allowing the she-cat enough time to step forward before she descended down to meet her. Larkpaw was her own apprentice which made the occasion especially rewarding.
"I, Firestar leader of LightingClan call upon our warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand our ways and I wish to honor her with her place in the Clan and her warrior name. Larkpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect the Clan, even at the cost of your life?" She asked, her voice carrying well in the camp, her expression soft as she waited for a reply.
