Name: Ashfang
Age: 18 moons
Gender: Tom
Clan: NightClan
Rank: Senior Warrior
Picture:
Description:
From a distance, Ashfang resembles a storm cloud. As you get nearer, this storm cloud seems to be angry. His fur isn't particularly long, not like when he was a kit, but it is very dense and thick - thick enough to get your claws tangled in. Sometimes, Ashfang doesn't bother to wash the difficult to reach areas and the fur tends to clump around his legs and cheeks as a result, the fact that his fur somehow collects all the burs in the forest doesn't help. His fur is a solid ash-grey in colour, the only colour change visible is his silver whiskers. Asfang's eyes are a deep molten bronze-brown and his flat muzzle makes his eyes look angry - even in his best mood.
Ashfang has a formidably large build with thick, dense muscles. He isn't very flexible and his balance can be laughable when he's high up but he can pack a wallop hard enough to make you briefly visit starclan. Just don't let him catch you - his thick fur makes him overheat easily and he can't keep up a pursuit as long as most cats can. His paws are large compared to the rest of him but his tail is quite short, which is probably why he struggles to balance. His most noticeable feature is his flat, broad muzzle. Hey, Ashfang doesn't care if you think it looks weird, the shorter muscles means he has a stronger bite force.
Description Summary: A solid, large ash-grey tom with a flat muzzle and bronze eyes.
Personality:
Ashfang may have been the youngest in his litter but he has never let any cat walk over him - asserting his own special brand of dominance in every situation he is a part of and every place he is in. He has his own mind and his own opinions and you can better believe that you are going to hear them and address them.
That's not to say Ashfang is stubborn, he'd just prefer that other cats' hear his ideas before finalizing a plan. If his plan is not the best, he will begrudgingly agree and change his attitude toward the matter at hand - performing his best to ensure the task is completed. After all, he is fiercely loyal to the clan and won't disobey a direct order.
Adventurous in his own way, Ashfang used to get in all sorts of trouble as a kit. Even now, he tends to wander farther than he should, leaving the clan's borders on more than one occasion. He doesn't fear the challenges he may face, only takes them head-on with courage and creativity. This 'take everything as it comes by force" has derived from his strongest trait - his rashness. Ashfang's actions tend to be driven by emotions rather than logic, making him quite the risky troublemaker. He will be the first to initiate a fight unless somebody is there to hold him back and calm him down.
Being emotional does have its advantages, however, such as Ashfang's strong ability to be empathetic towards others and many cats become friends with him because of this. He still has a hot-temper and will be quick to get angry on another cat's behalf and defend them if he believes the other party is in the wrong. Unfortunately, just as intense as his friendships are, so are the relationships' with his enemies.
History:
Ashkit was the last born of a litter of three, the litter of which belonged to Starlingcry and Dimstar of Nightclan. Being the kittens of two noble warriors, he and his siblings were born into luxury. Despite this, Ashkit's family life was a bit more difficult than most, since his parents were not romantically involved - Ashfang has called himself an accident on more than one occasion, but he's the "best kind of accident you could hope for." Ever since he was a kit, Ashfang had been aware of his parents' strained relationship, and is reluctant to admit that he acted out as a troublemaker because of it and he caused a lot of trouble for his parents.
When his father, Dimstar, proposed breeding bans and regulations, Ashfang, newly apprenticed, was incredibly confused. What possible purpose could this pose? He spoke out against it to any cat that would listen, cats deserved to love who they loved - just because Dimstar bred for strong warriors with Starlingcry, instead of out of love for her, shouldn't change that. Although he respected his father, Dimstar's breeding regulations disgusted Ashfang and he began to avoid him from that moment on.
Dimstar died that Newleaf. Of course, Ashfang was distraught and snapped at any cat that asked if he was okay, but some part of him was glad - his clanmates could feel free to love without judgement again. Not that he wanted to ever fall in love, that was sappy brain-melting stuff.
When Scrap and Snake were brought in, Ashfang was among the first to say "drive them out". He thought bringing in some loners' kits was the worst idea possible - they didn't know these kits, they were potentially dangerous. He made his hostility well-known, growling at them when they came within ear-shot and hissing in their faces if they dared come too close; which usually ended with Scrap trying to take a swat at him.
Soon after, Treeclan attacked Nightclan and forcefully took the Branch Trail, crippling Pinestar in the process. Needles to say, Ashfang is infuriated with this attack and aims to get revenge - whether Foxstar agrees or not.
