Description:
Honeywhisker is a pretty long-furred silver and white tabby. Her tabby markings are pale grey with stark black stripes criss-crossing like the shadows of branches on a hot day. The fur on her muzzle, throat, belly and legs is a pure white - matching her extraordinarily long whiskers and a small pale pink nose. Her eyes are a light, rich amber, which stand out against her dark fur. Her body is slender, although the frame is hidden beneath her thick pelt, with long legs and a long tail. Her shoulders are quite powerful and make her a powerful pouncer, able to take strong swipes at prey and enemy alike.
Description Summary:
A long-furred silver and white tabby she-cat with bright amber eyes.
Personality:
Honeywhisker is a sweetheart, at least to cats of her own clan. She is kind, compassionate and caring to the point of being seen as overprotective or annoying, even though this is not her intent. Her feelings towards kits and apprentices are almost maternal in nature, which is why some cats believe it strange that she has not yet had kits of her own.
This tabby enjoys efficiency over tactic, which can be shown by her almost rougish way of fighting - aiming to slice her enemy up as much as possible rather than relying solely on battle moves. She is no coward and is surprisingly sometimes the first to start a fight with cats from other clans, which she has no love for. Strongly passionate about her clan and her clan-mates, Honeywhisker refuses to hear a bad word about them and will often rebuke cats that she believes have spoken out of turn, even at gatherings.
Honeywhisker can be overeager, headstrong and sometimes fails to listen to orders, distracted by her own excitement at certain tasks. This can lead her straight into trouble, especially in war or raid patrols.
History:
Honeywhisker has always been proud of her parents - both of whom were strong, respected warriors. She had been born during newleaf which she believed to be excellent planning on their part and as a kit she'd congratulate them on the timing, much to their embarrassment. Compared to the other kits, Honeywhisker wasn't a dominant playmate and was happy to take any role in a game as long as she was included and she'd do her best to make sure other kits were included too - causing many mothers to swat her away from kits too young for such boisterous games.
On occasion she'd get too excited and end up accidentally hurting one of her friends, whom she'd apologies and bother for days on end afterwards. Thankfully, most of her playmates bore no grudges against her rough play now and then, although their parents would squint at her funnily as she'd follow them around after she'd hurt them.
When she reached the age to become apprentice, Honeywhisker was over the moon. She could barely keep herself from bouncing towards Ravenstar for the naming ceremony and non-to-gently headbutted her mentor with excitement. Overall, Honeywhisker believed herself to have been a great apprentice. She had been enthusiastic and attentive during lessons and almost always brought back at least one piece of prey during hunting patrols. Of course, she excluded the fact that she had attempted to organize a badger hunt with the other apprentices, that thankfully an elder overheard and informed some senior warriors before anyone got hurt. Or that she caused a few scuffles with apprentices from other clans during patrols. Or that she'd occasionally fight dirty during battle training when she thought her mentor wasn't looking.
Over her apprentice training, Honeywhisker thankfully matured, at least in regards to her clanmates. She stopped fighting dirty during play battles and she began to finally take orders into consideration - rather than ignoring them for what she believed was the greater good. When made a warrior, Honeywhisker was beaming - thanked for her enthusiasm and kindness towards her clanmates, which caused a few hushed giggles from those closest to her.
After being made a warrior, Honeywhisker aimed to be as loyal to the clan as she could. She'd volunteer for border patrols and would bite her tongue if they encountered an uppity patrol from another clan and would refuse to return to camp on hunting patrol until she had caught at least three pieces of prey. If a clanmate ever got injured, she would check up on them in the medicine cat den regularly, much to the irritation of the medicine cat, and if a kit ever got bored, she'd be the first to play with them, even trying to teach them hunting crouches.
She had been a warrior for a while when Dimstar became leader. Honeywhisker had grieved deeply for Ravenstar and respected Slatenose's decision to step down, she had been excited when Dimstar called together an unpredictable clan meeting. However, his news of breeding regulations shook her to the core and she had stifled a snort of disgust. In her mind, mates shouldn't have to be given permission to love and have kits of their own - kits commanded to be born would surely have something wrong in their hearts.
When greencough hit the clan, Honeywhisker was distraught. She'd offer help to any sick cat and frequently question the medicine cat if there was anything she could do. Her worries for the sick cats eventually caught up with her and she began to suffer from whitecough. Scolded by the medicine cat for hanging around the sick cats, Honeywhisker was terrified. Other cats had died from greencough and she was certain that her sickness would soon develop into the dreaded disease. However, that didn't seem to be Starclan's plan for her and she began to become healthier as the days passed. When she was announced cured by the medicine cat, Honeywhisker wasn't so keen to hang around the medicine cat den and instead passed her concerned questions onto cats that were headed that way instead.
Honeywhisker would've been lying if she said she wasn't relieved when Dimstar had passed, even though the death of her leader clearly upset her. When Pinestar lifted the breeding regulations, Honeywhisker had yowled her approval with the rest of the clan - certain that the days of Nightclan were beginning to brighten.
