Name: Puddlepaw
Age: 6 moons
Gender: She-cat
Clan: Rainclan
Rank: Apprentice
Picture:
Description: Puddlepaw is a fairly short she-cat with thick, silky grey fur. She is of a medium build, and decently muscled though it isn't very obvious through her fur. Her eyes are a soft, pale yellow color reflecting set against a round face. Her body is still young and she hasn't been in any battles as of yet so she is completely void of any scar tissue or blemishes for now. She has an incredibly thick furred tail, very much akin to that of a squirrel or a fox, this is easily the most notable thing about her and is one of the things that she's most proud of, even though she occasionally trips over it.
Description Summary: A short, grey she-cat with yellow eyes and a fluffy tail.
Personality: Puddlepaw is a classic example of the old phrase don't judge a book by it's cover. When one first meets her she appears sweet and charming, speaking politely to those around her and treating them with a faux respect. All of that quickly melts away however, once you start getting to know her on a more personal level. As it turns out, she's only so nice because she wants to keep some level of respect within the clan. In reality she views all cats, including high ranking ones as being beneath her and decides who her friends are by how useful they are to her.
In Puddlepaw's eyes, she is the greatest thing to ever happen to her clan. She views herself as being the strongest, the most intelligent, the most beautiful and the most gifted cat in the world and firmly believes that her clanmates should all treat her as such. In her mind, the clan should all be working to please her before they do anything for themselves. So in the event that someone proves to not be useful to her, not like her or the way she acts, or if they prove to be better than her at something she will not be pleased. A rather petty little cat, Puddlepaw isn't above trying to get revenge on someone who she dislikes by any means. Even if it means starting rumors about them or picking at a particularly nasty traumatic event that happened to them until they snap, she'll do just about anything to see those who've 'wronged' her pay.
On the other end of the spectrum, cats who are useful to Puddlepaw will be treated with far more kindness. She may request them to do things like hunt for her if she doesn't feel like doing it or even protecting her if she feels unsafe for any reason. However, she'll act more like her typical facade, talking to them in a sweet manner and asking politely for things she needs. In some cases she'd even go out of her way to protect someone if they've done a good job serving her. This will often surprise others as one would never expect such a narcissist to lay down her own life for another, especially not one she deems inferior to her. And they'd probably be right too, but due to her youth and naivety, Puddlepaw often feels invincible, believing that a cat as amazing as herself could never be killed. So to her, protecting her 'subjects' has no real consequence aside from giving them more reason to love her.
In spite of her attitude there actually is a bit of a softer side when it comes to Puddlepaw. A side that is reserved mostly for family and close loved ones. It's not much different from her typical nature but it is subtly softer. She'll speak a bit more quietly, tries to make sure she doesn't cross that individual's boundaries or hurt their feelings. She may even occasionally bring them gifts in an attempt to show them that she cares. It's not too terribly obvious to others, but she certainly tries her best to remind those close to her that she cares about them.
History: Puddlekit had fairly normal family, growing up with two loving parents and a sister named Reedkit. There was no real struggle or strife early on into her life, but still she seemed a little odd even back then. She refused to play with other kits her age, claiming that she was too good for them. It didn't matter how much the other kits asked or how many times her parents outright ordered herto go play with the others, she simply refused. The only kit that she would even consider playing with was Reedkit, and even then she had to be in charge of whatever game they were playing or else she wouldn't be interested anymore. Reedkit did play with her for a while but eventually got tired of being bossed around and decided to stop after some time, leaving Puddlekit alone.
Puddlekit was perfectly fine with this though as she felt there were much better things she could be doing with her time. Like, she went hunting for leaves whenever her mother let her go a little ways out of the nursery. Or playing mossball by herself, sometimes she'd even go on the very rare adventure around camp by herself in which her father usually caught her sneaking around camp and brought her straight back to the nursery. All in all, her kithood was rather boring and she desperately wished to have lots of friends like her sister did. She wasn't really willing to change anything about herself however, and so she just watched her sister and mimicked her, creating a small facade of kindness that she used to get close to others.
Once she started doing that, she was able to make loads of friends and no longer spent her day alone. Even Reedkit wanted to play with her now, and Puddlekit began to wonder just how else she could use her sweet act and what she could make others do with it. The idea was thrilling to her and so she started to use her facade for other things, growing close to a cat so she could get what she wanted from them. She forged friendships of all kind for the mere ourpose of getting something like a cool bug or some pretty feathers. She was delighted to see how well it turned out and started to perfect the skill, hoping to be good enough to keep manipulating others even as an apprentice.
She's still manipulating other catd even as an apprentice. She feels no shame in it and doesn't particularly care who she hurts in doing so. Now though she's got more mature cats to try and charm into doing her bidding, it's only a mattewr of time before she tries to figure out how to get grown warriors do what she wants.
