Name: Moonkit- Moonpaw - Moondance
Age: 38 Moons
Gender: She-cat
Clan: NightClan
Rank: Warrior
Picture:
Description:
The main difference that can be seen between Sunpulse and Moondance is their coat colours. While Sunpulse is a sleek ginger tabby, Moondance is in essence the opposite, and is covered in a thick silky silver fur. Her fur is always well maintained, as Moondance is of firm belief that she should always look her best, as is stripped with thick lustrous tabby markings. Her markings slope down her face into a point and gracefully accent her cheeks. Her eyes were once very similar to Sunpulse's, however as the two have aged his eyes have very much become amber in color while hers have lost most of the amber coloring becoming a peaceful dark hazel.
Her frame is almost identical to her brother, in that they stand about square next to eachother. She is lithe and slender and yet also powerful enough to pounce down any prey she so chooses.
Description Summary: Slim she-cat silver tabby with long fur and deep hazel eyes.
Personality:
Moondance is a fiercely independent she-cat. She will often try to do things on her own, fail , and try again without asking for help, due to her huge sense of pride. This has always caused problems for Moondance, especially as an apprentice when she would often refuse her given mentor's help. She has calmed down over the moons of her life as a warrior but the she-cat still often finds herself struggling to accept the help of those around her, even when offered. Moondance shares a very special bond with only one other cat, Sunpulse. Sunpulse, her brother is one of the only cats that Moondance will allow herself to accept help from, for the sole fact that the duo have been through everything together. She is often fiercely protective of her brother, and will smite those who try and mock him, dead in their tracks. Quite frankly, when it comes to Sunpulse, if someone tries to do any harm to her brother, Moondance will do anything in her power to ruin their lives.
Moondance, unlike her brother has a very negative view on the world, and often looks for the bad in other cats. This can even drive her to an extreme and has probably scared away many suitors, as she is often beyond absorbed in trying to see the pond as half empty even when it is full. As she has aged Moondance has developed a sort of yearning for someone to erase this negative outlook from her life, however she has yet to meet that cat, and for the time still has a rather glum look on life.
History:
Moonkit and Sunkit were born outside of the Nightclan camp to a queen named Dappleshade. The story of their mother's pregnancy was one highly frowned upon by Nightclan and had caused Moonkit to grow up with a lot of grief towards her mother. Dappleshade was courted by a male, Stormyskies, outside of a coupling and was ridiculed and tormented by his mate as she was enduring her pregnancy. When it came time to birth her kittens, Dappleshade left the camp and gave birth in the forests of Nightclan, returning somewhat miraculously to the camp with two healthy kittens.
Moonkit has often seen this as a huge disgrace upon her life, and often heard about it as she grew and trained to be a warrior. She eventually accepted it and it was at this point in her life that Moonpaw began to gain a very cynical outlook on life. As soon as she could she began to distance herself from her mother, out of spite for her actions and focused on her brother, Sunpaw, and her training.
She quickly became a good fighter and a very prominent hunter, accepting any additional training any warrior was willing to offer. At her ceremoney to become a warrior, Moondance made a huge step forward in her life and approached her then estranged mother, excusing her weakness. She maintains a distance, but does have a semblance of a relationship with her Dappleshade.
