NAME: Icefeather
Why is she named Icefeather?
Icefeather was born on a cold and frosty morning. Due to the environment in which she was born, and the excessive white markings she had, her mother gave her the prefix of Ice-. Her feathery and soft fur, as well as her eminent stealth, earned her the suffix of -feather.
AGE: 18 moons
GENDER: She-cat
CLAN: Lightningclan
RANK: Warrior

DESCRIPTION:
Icefeather never grew tall and leggy like many of her peers, though she did have the blessing of Lightningclan's usual lithe form. Her slim and petite body is supported by strong, short, and sturdy limbs that carry her in quick bursts of speed across the grasslands. Her paws are soft, supple, and sure-footed. She has very powerful hindquarters and is well-known for her impressive leaps both in hunting and battle. Overall, she has a very fragile and delicate figure, though her steadfast spirit, stealthiness, and agility make her a formidable predator and opponent.
Icefeather is a small and lithe gray-brown tabby she-cat with short fur and a placid hazel gaze. She has a white blaze stretching from between her eyes down to her rosy pink nose. Her muzzle is white, and chrome wraps halfway around her neck before spanning down to her chest and belly. Her front right paw looks like it was dipped in white, while her other limbs have chrome stretching midway up her legs. She is rather thin-furred, though her pelt is soft and feathery like down. Due to her striped tabby pelt and gray-brown fur, she blends in fantastically with the grass around her. Icefeather does tend to be more sensitive to colder weather due to her fine coat, though she never lets the weather hold her back from warrior duties.
DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
Icefeather is a small and lithe gray-brown tabby she-cat with short fur and a placid hazel gaze.

PERSONALITY:
POSITIVE
+) Vigilant (keeping careful watch for possible danger or difficulties)
Icefeather is always quite aware of potential conflicts around her. There have been many instances where her vigilance has been tested to the extreme, and has held stronger than many of her other traits. Sometimes her alert behavior is unneeded and distracts from the task or goal at hand, though in her mind, it's better safe than sorry.
+) Assiduous (showing great care and perseverance)
Icefeather is quite conscientious and persistent when it comes to completing a duty or goal. Her dedication and determination in her responsibilities and her past-times is admirable, though is oftentimes unnerving for other warriors; time is something she doesn't easily comprehend and respect.
+) Reticent (not revealing one's thoughts or feelings readily)
Icefeather is quite reserved, though not in a timid or nervous manner. Everything is thought over very carefully before being spoken; she seldom regrets saying a single word. In verbal conflict, silence is often her default, as she has learned from experience that there is rarely a deeper guilt than words spoken out in anger.
+) Intuitive (using or based on what one feels to be true even without conscious reasoning; instinctive)
Icefeather has a very strong intuition, though she often finds herself constantly tussling between popular opinion and gut feeling. Her instincts are respectable, though can often be mistaken for her established indecisiveness. It is quite hard to tell which trait she is expressing between the two as her reactions are fairly similar.
+) Astute (having or showing an ability to accurately assess situations or people and turn this to one's advantage)
Icefeather is a very incisive cat, though more than just intelligently analytical and clear-thinking, she is a master of persuasion. She is confident in her ability to assess a scenario, or a cat for that matter, and come out ahead one way or another. Although some might think of these actions as devious and selfish, Icefeather's morals go against hurting others for self gain. She tries to suppress her manipulative nature, though it does occasionally come in handy in social interactions.
NEGATIVE
-) Indecisive (not having or showing the ability to make decisions quickly and effectively)
Icefeather has always been hesitant. Her mother had a strong, fierce, and demanding character than oftentimes put Icefeather down. Her mentor had a tough time building Icefeather's confidence and decisiveness. In the end, it was somewhat a success. Icefeather is a fantastic hunter, even though she still second-guesses herself. Unfortunately, despite her training, this is one of the traits she will most likely never fully suppress.
-) Mercurial (subject to sudden or unpredictable changes of mood or mind)
Like her mother, Icefeather has unpredictable mood swings. Unlike her mother, Icefeather is very capable of hiding them. Much of her temperamental nature is more an internal battle than an outward depression, anxiety, or aggression. Icefeather is well aware of her mercurial tendencies, which has occasionally helped her stabilize her moods, though they aren't ever fully controllable.
-) Dilatory (slow to act)
Icefeather's indecisiveness strongly contributes to her dilatory nature. Her lower than average self-esteem and high uncertainty derived from her mother's constant humiliation despite Icefeather's efforts to please. Icefeather is easily deflated, whether she'll admit it to herself or not, and because of her indecisiveness and her relatively passive nature, she tends to take longer to act. Of course, she is a generally tardy cat despite her hesitance and seems to have little respect for time. One of Icefeather's greatest struggles would be mastering punctuality.
-) Contentious (give in to arguing or provoking argument)
Icefeather used to be much more argumentative, though she has recognized that silence is sometimes the better option. Despite her recognition, she is still quite easily drawn into debate. When it comes to defending a position, Icefeather jumps right to the gun; this being one of the few instances she successfully quells her passive ways and hones her sharp wit.
-) Forgetful (apt or likely not to remember)
Icefeather isn't what some would call a distracted or inattentive cat, though oftentimes she focuses so fixedly on certain duties that other tasks are completely forgotten. She is quite aware of her immediate surroundings and situations, though definitely thrives off of constant reminders throughout each day. It has always been a struggle for Icefeather to keep up with her disorganized thoughts, and the likelihood that her memory will sharpen with age is very, very slim.
NEUTRAL
n) Tenacious (not readily relinquishing a position, principle, or course of action; determined)
Icefeather's morals stand strong and unwavering despite her often passive and indecisive characteristics. She holds true to her views of right and wrong, no matter the opinions of her peers, and once she has truly set her mind to something, there are very few who can stop her. Some may call her stubborn, narrow-minded, or even ignorant, though no one can deny her dedication to the clan and the warrior code.
n) Adventurous (willing to take risks or to try out new methods, ideas, or experiences)
Icefeather's heart had always been entwined with journey and adventure. She lived the elder's stories of travel and hardship as if she was dragging herself along-side the quest-worn cats. Her adventurous nature has been borderline mischievous, and though she has earned a permanent place in the clan as a warrior, traveling still holds a special place in her heart. There has always been, and always will be an inner longing for what's beyond the five territories that she will continue to hold secret. Loyalty to her clan and the warrior code is priority.
n) Competitive (having or displaying a strong desire to be more successful than others)
Like her contentious drive, Icefeather has a competitive streak that has been becoming much more prominent as she ages. As her self confidence rises, she is constantly testing her limits. Unfortunately, although she is growing bolder and more adventurous, Icefeather still has to learn to take the crookeds with the straights.
n) Stoical (enduring pain and hardship without showing one's feelings or complaining)
Icefeather's sensitive body is prone to injury, though her tolerance of pain and her intense determination subdue any and all complaining. Although sometimes honorable, this trait is often dangerous. Icefeather has been in terrible health ten times over due to her stubbornness and stoical ways.
n) Imaginative (having or showing creativity or inventiveness)
Icefeather has an intelligent and creative mind, no matter how disorganized it may be. Stories come to her like visions from Starclan and thinking outside the box is her specialty; though thinking really has become her greatest downfall. Despite the pros of her imaginative ways, Icefeather is oftentimes so trapped in her head that she loses track of not only time, but of her responsibilities as well.

HISTORY:
Icefeather is a true mixture between her mother and father, both physically and characteristically. She inherited her mother's small, lithe form and feminite features, while honing her father's short, strong, and powerful legs, as well as his coloring. Her mother, Sagefur, had two kits. Icefeather's brother died a week after birth due to greencough, which strongly affected her parents. Icefeather grew up with no siblings, though was quite popular with the elders, as well as the other kits due to her father's involvement in mock battles and games. Her childhood was filled with the history of Lightningclan, instilling a strong sense of adventure and restlessness inside Icefeather's heart, although much of her adventurous spirit was most likely ignited by her father's mischievousness. Her kit-hood was filled with fun missions and adventures with her father. They were closer than bark on trees.
It was mostly Cloudheart and the elders that raised Icefeather. Sagefur was a very aggressive, temperamental, and unforgiving cat, though was a very highly respected warrior in Lightningclan. When it was time for Icefeather's apprentice ceremony, her father had talked to the clan leader and organized it so that he would mentor his daughter. Icefeather's entire apprentice-hood had been spent attempting to impress the cold and scrutinizing look of her mother, especially after the death of her father four moons into her apprenticeship. A section of the tunnels beneath Lightningclan territory collapsed, claiming Cloudheart's life, and burying Icefeather in rubble. It was a miracle that the clan was able to salvage her from the aftermath. Cloudheart's body was never found.
She was assigned a different mentor to finish her training, and although it did take her a moon longer than the other apprentices, she finished her training and passed her assessments with flying colors. Unfortunately, following her warrior ceremony, her mother's gaze was just as distasteful as it had always been if not more-so. Since then, she has been attempting to ignore Sagefur, though with every glance towards her birth-mother, Icefeather knows that despite her mother's unfriendly temperament, Sagefur has still reserved a special place in her heart.

RP EXAMPLE:
Icefeather's thin fur coat miserably failed to protect her from the howling winds that sprayed snow all across Lightningclan's vulnerable hills. It's freezing! She thought wretchedly, most of her body numb from the frigid gusts; the only thing keeping her warm was her pumping limbs and a strong rush of adrenaline. The chase was on. Her heart beat in short, quick bursts. The snow was deep enough to hinder her sprinting, so she decided to clear ground in leaps and bounds. The two lone warriors charged across the plains in pursuit of what could be one of the most generous catches the clan would have had in weeks, though they were constantly showered in droves of frost, and their senses were frequently muddled with facefulls of snow and ice. Unfortunately, the creature had managed to wiggle it's way into the vast network of tunnels beneath Lightningclan territory, leaving the two brown and white cats at the foot of a dark, tight hole.
This moment, at the entrance of the dreadful tunnels, was undeniably the coldest and most fatigued Icefeather had felt all winter. She sniffed with her stuffed up nose and squinted through watering eyes. It smelled cold, it felt cold, and it sounded cold. Being stuck struggling through snowdrifts had left the petite she-cat soaking wet and freezing, though the thought of tunnels made her cringe. Icefeather admired Harestrike's persistence, but the tunnels? That was worse than a trip to the dark forest. By the stars, I hope we don't have to go in there. She silently pleaded to herself, though she knew they couldn't afford to lose the hare. They had been out all day, and this was one of the few creatures they had been able to find. This and that scraggly looking quail. She thought grimly. With much effort, the she-cat attempted to conceal her discomfort about the tunnels with a placid posture, though her faint, hazel eyes leaked anxiety.
"Want to go in after it? If we're lucky the dumb thing'll get itself cornered."
She knew Harestrike was adamant about finding the hare and bringing it back to the clan. If there was one thing Icefeather learned about this cat after one day of hunting with him, it would be his intense dedication. And his arrogance. And his...She paused and yanked herself out of her thoughts, watching as Harestrike strutted through the tunnel entrance. Pushy furball. She huffed, flattening her ears to her head. Icefeather glanced nervously to her left and right before reluctantly squeezing through the musty, black tunnel entrance. At least he didn't ditch me in the snow today. Starclan knows his legs can cover twice as much ground as mine. She thought thankfully. He's loyal, I'll give him that.
When Icefeather entered the tunnels, she tried not to focus on the dissipating light and the increasing discomfort rattling her usually light-hearted spirit. The tunnels were just like she remembered. Earth crumbled every time her fragile body grazed the sides. They were pitch dark, and as the two cats traveled deeper, it felt like the tunnels were wrapping around her delicate body and squeezing her into an inescapable blackness. She stuck to Harestrike's heels like grass does ground. Icefeather's heart was beating rapidly as unsavory memories flashed in her mind. Why did I ever come back into this horrible place? She thought dreadfully.
"Are you sure we're on the right path?" The young she-cat breathed nervously, voice hoarse from the cold weather. I can't smell a thing with my nose all stuffed like this. She grumbled silently. As soon as Icefeather finished her thought, she heard a scuffle up ahead. Her heart skipped a beat.
Thank Starclan! The she-cat thought extatically. We found it!
