Hello and welcome all to Dreamer's holiday corner! For anyone who is interested, depending on the prompts I may seek other characters to either cameo in my writing or my drawings, so let me know if you have any characters you would like to volunteer. And now to wait. Hellion

Day 1
Picture
The days were getting colder, and many of the younger warriors were chattering about the first snow. Cloudpaw was just as excited, she had never seen snow, and the fact that it was supposed to be as white as her pelt and her namesake was intriguing. She'd seen frost by now, but all the warriors said it wasnt the same. Snow, they said, fell from the sky and covered everything in white. But it was cold, and melted like water and frost. Blackwing thought she was being silly, it was just snow after all. It got your fur wet and soggy and froze it into a spiky mess. "Oh come on Blackwing everyone else seems to be excited for it." "That's only because theyre forgetting what happens after the first snow melts."
Cloudpaw didnt care. And when one morning dawned white, she finally experienced it herself. The other apprentices in the den ran out into the shallow snow wooping and yowling as white fluff fell from the sky. The chill was biting, but even so, as Cloudpaw looked out from her den, her jaw was hanging in awe. She had never seen so much white! She reached one of her paws forward, gingerly touching the snow pulling it back and giving it a lick. It tasted just like water, purer even then most of the creeks they drank from.
Suddenly, there was Blackwing, a tiny knowing smirk on his face.
"Well, you coming out or not?"

Day 2
"Sooo, this is how you guys celebrate Christmas?" Allana was baffled by the riot of colors around living, mostly green, red, and white, but it was so bright and gaudy when she turned to look at Scott's face, a reverse afterimage stuck to her eyes. Scott grinned widely . "Of course! Is this not how you celebrate it in England?"
Allana's lips twitched in amusement. "Well, somewhat, we're a bit more... subdued."
Scott spread his arms wide, curly ink-black hair bouncing in his excitement. "Welcome to America," he winked.
Allana allowed herself to look around once more. A massive evergreen tree stood in the corner of the living room, although the green was nearly eclipsed by the bright multi-colored blinking lights, ornaments and tinsel. But that wasn't where it stopped. Scott's mom apparently had a thing for holiday decorating, because every surface there was at least one snowman, and the sofas all had special holiday pillows and blankets. The lights on the tree werent even the only lights, as several strands of varying colors stretched across multiple surfaces, and every window was rimmed with lights on the outside. It was the coffee table, however, that drew her attention most sharply.
"Is that gingerbread?" Allana asked tilting her head so her bright coppery red hair slipped in front of her shoulders. "It looks so hard and it's in rather odd shapes."
Scott snickered. "They aren't cookies, oh sorry, biscuits. We're making a gingerbread house."
Allana's mouth formed an "o" as she studied the various different tools on the table.
"Scott, Scott, Scott!" A young girl skidded into the room, nearly tripping over an extension chord for the lights, but bobbing back up with a bright grin clutching a bandaged stuffed panda. Her dirty blond hair was so different from her brother's, but their faces held similar traces, despite her blue eyes being so different from Scott's emerald ones. Ironically, Allana's eyes were more similar to his, which made her interactions with the family very amusing.
"Dawn, Dawn, Dawn!" Scott scooped his sister up in his arms, setting her into giggles as he tickled her. "You ready to make the gingerbread house?" he said when he finally put her down. Dawn nodded enthusiastically. "Is Allana gonna help?" she looked up at Allana curiously. Allana chuckled, times like this she wished she had siblings, but getting to spend her Christmas holidays with a friend and his family was better than alone. Maybe next Christmas once she had graduated with her bachelor's could she afford to go home.
"Of course I am! But you'll have to help me. Ive never made one before!" Allana said solemnly.
"Okay!" Dawn sat on the couch, while Allana and Scott took the other side of the coffee table.
"So first we have to stick the walls together with icing, no eating the icing this time Scott!" Dawn pouted at her brother who had just squirted a bit of the white sugary substance onto his finger. He shrugged, but smeared the icing onto the edge of one of the sheets of gingerbread. Together, the three of them worked to squeeze the icing onto the sides and stick all of them together until they had four solid walls. Then they built the roof. This part took longer and resulted in a lot of giggling, some grumbling, and Scott getting icing in Allana's hair. After she washed off, they finally got the roof on and then set to decorating.
"Okay, so we have M&Ms, little gummy... balls, a few round peppermints and a little bit of icing left." Allana counted. "And we would have morrre icing if you hadnt flung it around, Scott." she said, rolling her eyes at him. He grinned. All of them chuckled and reached for different things and began to stick them on with the little bits of icing left.
Finally Dawn stepped back, putting her hands on her hips triumphantly. "It's done! We should take a picture of it!" Allana reached for her phone as Scott slid beside her, and Dawn bounced over. Allana put her arm around the younger girl and lifted the phone, tilting it so that they adn the house were in the shot. And suddenly in a spray of gingerbread, icing and gray fur the house was gone. Allana blinked dazedly, wiping a smear of white sugar from her cheek. All three of them stared at the smug fluffy gray cat grooming itself atop the remains of their house. "Stoooorm."
