RAINCLAN
WARRIOR
27 MOONS
SHE-CAT
Narrowbrook
SHORT DESCRIPTION
A snow bengal she-cat with shifting blue eyes.
APPEARANCE
Narrowbrook gives off the impression of lean strength and a sleekness that comes to mind when one thinks of Rainclan. But her hips and shoulders are broad and strong, adding variation and curves to her shape as the muscle dip in and out, but all around she still maintains a pretty narrow shape. Her face is pointed, but holding some roundness around her muzzle, a blend of features that pleasantly leading to rounding ears.
Her pelt is naturally short, hugging her skin. But the faint coloring of silvery brown spots and dusting adds texture, easily making what would be white a more interesting color. But her eyes are what immediately draws attention. They are reminiscent of the river, changing shades in the light. They range from a deep blue to a more ice-like shade to something closer to teal.

PERSONALITY
Narrowbrook appears to be wild, rough, cold, sometimes reckless, somewhat tomboyish and rude at the start–opposite with her twin sister Sandystream, who more light and feminine. She is hotheaded and loud and says what she thinks without any regard for the consequences. Due to her short temper, she is energetically aggressive with others in general. Despite this, she also has a soft side, especially when she is around her sister. She hates when Sandystream leaves her alone, but to hide it, she usually mentions that Sandystream is her sister and sisters don't leave each other behind.
She is also known to be quite arrogant in battle, and she places much confidence in her abilities. During an spar against a rival almost twice her size who is capable of seriously injuring her, Narrowbrook's arrogance almost backfires; luckily, Sandystream steps in at the last minute and smooths things over.
She is very convinced of her feelings, and most of her actions reflect the emotions she feels. Narrowbrook is also very perceptive of others' emotions, and tries to cheer them up in her own way. She tends to be very abrasive, but she can still be seen at times as kind, honest, and sweet. No matter what, she holds true to her independence as well as her personal values and beliefs.
That does little to change the fact that at the best of times she is argumentative and temperamental, picking fights simply to pick fights without any consideration to the lasting consequences. Narrowbrook isn't above bullying, but this behavior is oddly enough more common towards those she likes than enemies.
To those she hates she is haughty and cold, her insults and jabs taking on a darker and more sadistic note, making her previous aggressive mocking more of teasing taken a little too far in contrast.
With Sandystream her attitude is vastly different. She is far more understanding and tender toward her sister. That coupled with her general foul behavior toward all males lead some to wrongly speculate she has an incestuous crush on her sister.
The truth of the matter is that Narrowbrook has no idea how to interact with toms and as such gets flustered. Flustered typically turns to emotional when it is pointed out or gets too much and an emotional Narrowbrook is a violent one. It doesn't help that she was raised with a heavy sexism toward males.
Her seemingly favoritism toward her sister comes from the fact that they have been together since the beginning and that Sandystream knows Narrowbrook far too well to fall into the pitfalls of others and exacerbate her sister's temper. Rather Sandystream is a pro at keeping Narrowbrook calm and affectionate in the face of her usual flighty and volatile emotions.
—Despite maintaining love for her kits despite being betrayed, those who know her would say that Honeyflower changed a lot after that. She became insanely distrustful and over-protective. She refused to let anyone else touch her kits, even the other queens in the nursery. Starclan forbid if a tom tried to touch them. Many a time she threatened to claw off the ears of any male who happened to so much as brush past one of them.
—Honeyflower refused to even allow her cats to even play with male kits, fostering in Narrowkit and Sandykit a sexism against any of the opposite gender. So controlling and overcome with a desire to keep her daughters safe against being hurt by toms that some could only watched as she went so far as to try and pair her daughter off with on another. Honeyflower seemingly tried to not only encourage but attempt to lay the foundation of incestuous love between the sisters, something they themselves didn't understand but went with due to nativity.
— Honeyflowers's possessiveness didn't quell with time. Even when Narrowkit and Sandykit grew almost big enough to be apprentices and began trying to adventure out, Honeyflower kept them close, barely even let them outside. When they were allowed out, Honeyflower never took her eyes off them, always afraid Ruddwhisker would decide to take something else from her. This fear only grew when Dewpetal was declared unable to have kits, Honeyflowers's distrustfil paranoia leading her to suspect that her ex-best friend would try to steal them given half a chance. She went so far as to refuse to tell her kits who their father was, out of fear they would leave her, almost clawing the ears off of anyone who tried.
— It reached a point where the higher powers of the clan began to get concerned. Swanfeather took to lacing Honeyflower's meals with herbs to calm her. While some wished they could do more, they couldn't in good conscience take her kits away from her even if she was crazy and messing with their heads to satisfy her own lingering damage from betrayal.
— When they reached the age of apprentice though, Honeyflower's machinations were slowly being torn apart. Now that Narrowpaw and Sandypaw were kits, other members of the clan could step in and begin to fix the she-cats, to set the siblings onto better paths.
— Narrowpaw's mentor, Willowfang, worked alongside Sandypaw's mentor to try and break the odd relationship of mate-ish behavior Honeyflower made develop between the two and remake it into a healthier sibling relationship.
— Seeing what her clan was trying to do with her kits, Honeyflower finally lost it. The once radiant and gentle she-cat flew into a rage, claiming Razorstar tainted Rainclan with his male corruption and turned the clan against her. She attacked Dewpetal when the she-cat tried to calm her down, killing the she-cat that was once her best friend in cold blood before turning to try and urge her kits to obey their mother and come to her. To fight with her and bathe in the traitorous clan's blood.
— Sandypaw and Narrowpaw were frozen in horror, but misunderstanding the situation Honeyflower claimed that the two were corrupted by the clan into betraying her. She made a move to attack the two, to killed them like she did Dewpetal and restore their honor. That was when the rest of the clan snapped out of their shock and fought with Ruddwhisker to put down the insane she-cat.
— That horrible situation was the catalysts to Ruddwhisker finally truthfully growing up. To finally take responsibility for the kits he sired into the world. He did his best to make it up to the twins for all the moons he left the to the mercy of their mother. He vowed he would do his best to be a father for them, to show them what parental love was truly meant to be like.
— As Razorstar died and Timberstar took over, civil unrest began to brew. Despite all that, Sandypaw and Narrowpaw finished their apprenticeship without much fanfare. They were named after the waters themselves, both having been in the end raised more by Rainclan itself than ever by their Mother. For what she did wasn't truly raise them, rather she tried to force them in roles to satisfy herself and ultimately moved to kill them when they failed to conform to her desires.
— Narrowbrook and Sandystream, now true sisters rather than the lovers Honeyflower tried to force them to be, can only watch as events that had started as apprentices escalate. The clan is split in half with many cats killing each other.
— Both chose to stand with Swanfeather that day, their loyalty to the longstanding medicine cat going beyond that toward Timberstar. That mixed with understanding and the still lingering scars of warnings against those who have the capacity to betray will always be a risk, have lead to them standing with the Purists.
— That is where the two diverge. While Sandystream seems to be completely fine with the Purists murdering the loyalists, the entire thing leaves a bad taste in Narrowbrook's mouth. The blue-eyed she-cat doesn't completely agree with the ideals her green-eyed counterpart does.
— While Narrowbrook agrees that cats outside the clan shouldn't take high positions, that such power belongs to those born in the clan, she disagrees with any mistreatment toward those of mixed blood. No cat should suffer from the mistakes of their parent, her and her sister being perfect examples of victims of a selfish mother. But despite her disagreements with some of the Purists' beliefs, Narrowbrook refuses to abandon her sister. All she can do is grin and bear it, all the while hoping the situation resolves itself soon... before she loses the ability to stomach her own reflection.

HISTORY
—Narrowkit and her sister Sandykit were born to a single she-cat named Honeyflower. Their Father, Ruddwhisker, left their Mother once he found out he had got her pregnant. At the time they were just friends with benefits, with Honeyflower wanting something more. Ruddwhisker for his part was not interested in kits or starting a family. He just wanted to have fun and Honeyflower's crush on him gave him the perfect opportunity to despite having been courting her best friend Dewpetal to be his mate instead. Honeyflower herself didn't find out until after she ended up becoming a queen, already laden with his kits only for him to turn his back on her and reveal that he never actually love him.—Despite maintaining love for her kits despite being betrayed, those who know her would say that Honeyflower changed a lot after that.
