36 Moons. Loner. Tom. - Two days had passed since the Purists had taken his father from him. Two days, and the pain wasn't any better; Crowblaze shredded the bark of the thin tree before him, gouging long strips into the wood as though envisioning each Purist under his claws. Filthy fox-hearted murderers! Underneath the roiling anger, the seething hatred, was grief, as sharp as an enormous thorn, it was digging into his heart so deeply his chest felt tight with each breath. Ottersplash had given him some chamomile to bring him some kind of peace, but Crowblaze had curled his lip in scorn, the herbs taken but with little effect; the death of his father wasn't something a bunch of plants could fix. Slaughtering every last Purist? Now that might just make him feel better... Crowblaze's orange gaze narrowed menacingly at the wooded cove, and flicking bark debris from his chest fur, the warrior stalked forward and raked his claws over another tree, and then another, just waiting for a Purist to discover him. Silverscar

27 Moons. RainClan. Warrior. She-Cat.

Things had spiraled fast in the days following Crowblaze and Silverscar's quest to find Badgerpaw. For when they returned home all hell had broken loose. Two of Rainclan's warriors murdered the very next day. Sending the already spiraling clan into a full blown panic. Tensions exploding between the already tense, irritable cats. The anger so strongly felt amongst her clanmates, Silverscar thought one might be able to cut it with a claw. Worst of all, was who'd ended up killed. Crowblaze's father Vultureback one of the two victims. It broke her heart to think about it. He was now parentless. His mother taken by illness, his father taken by violence. She couldn't even imagine the pain he must of been feeling. Despite this Silverscar hadn't been able to find the tom, to grab a single moment to speak with him. Patrols having been up'd due to the threat.

Everyone was so busy.

So when she caught ahold of his scent while out on a hunting patrol, Silverscar quickly diverted her attentions. Hunting could wait, Crowblaze was her friend. He'd helped her find Badgerpaw at the very least she owed him condolences over his dead father. Following his scent, she was alarmed to find they lead straight towards the wooden cove. What was he thinking? He could be killed! Shoving her slender paws hard against the damp ground, Silverscar darted after his scent. Her vibrant eyes searching desperately for his large dark form. Rounding a high patch of marsh grass, Silverscar spotted him ahead running his claws down the side of a tree.

" Crowblaze!" She calls, slipping on the wet leaves beneath her paws. She has to scramble to keep herself from sliding into the tom. Getting her paws beneath her, she straightens to look at him. Her vibrant eyes widening as she looked upon him. His tail lashing with obvious fury, his orange gaze glittering with a venomous look she had never seen.

" Crowblaze what are you doing out here?" She murmurs, her voice laced with concern. " If anyone spots us..." She glances around quickly praying to starclan they didn't get caught. Her long sharp claws coming unsheathed in preparation to defend her clanmate and herself. She wouldn't allow the Purists to take anymore of her clanmates. Especially not Crowblaze.

Drawing closer, she looks into his eyes. Her scarred face staring unblinkingly into his rage filled one. " I know your hurting Crowblaze." She says her voice even softer. " I know you must be so angry..." She says, knowing just how he felt. She'd felt it too, when the beaver had killed her mentor. " But this..." She gestures around with her tail tip, to all the damage he had done. " This is only going to get you killed. Vultureback loved you, he wouldn't want that. Please Crowblaze." She touches his chin with her striped tail tip. " Please come back to our side of the territory with me. We'll find a way to defeat Swanfeather and all the other Purists... together. I promise" She finishes, her vibrant gaze pleading with the tom. Fearing for his life, desperate to get him away from the danger they would surely face if they stayed.

36 Moons. Loner. Tom. - It was only the sight of Silverscar and the soft pleading mew of her voice that tempered some of his fury. He turned a pained, angry gaze upon her, his expression twisted by rage and grief both. "Vultureback should be here! I never--" Crowblaze choked on the words, his limbs trembling beneath his dark pelt. "I never said sorry." Sorry for leaving RainClan when I should've stayed. Sorry for the last thing I said to him that day was to ask him if he even cared about Falconleap at all. His claws shredded the grass underneath him, his broad shoulders hunched, posture that of a cat in pain. A cat struggling to fix something when it was already far too late. "I was a bad son," Crowblaze squeezed his eyes shut, not wanting her to see the sudden surge of self-loathing. Silverscar, if he knew as well as he thought he did, would deny it, would reassure him that his father knew he'd loved him. Knew he was sorry for the things he'd said and done... Crowblaze saw the same emotions in Gullswoop's eyes; Vultureback had been a good father, they just hadn't been able to connect with him the way their sisters could. He had been a silent, ever-present force in their lives, taciturn but loving, brooding but thoughtful. Vultureback had withdrawn a little after Falconleap's death and his own disappearance (Bitternwing had told him about this), so the guilt had been refreshed after hearing the truth. After hearing that Vultureback had lost his mate and his second son in the same day. Hawkfall had left long before then. I was a bad son. And a bad brother. The warrior glared at the Wooded Cove. What if they attacked his sisters next? What if they went after Gullswoop? "We need to send them a message, Silverscar." He growled, the noise low and dangerous. "I don't care if my father's murder was the idea of one cat or the whole disgusting group--they can't be allowed to get away with it!" "Get away with what?" Hissed a voice from the woods.
