Name: Minkpaw (Minkheart)
Age: 6 moons
Gender: She-cat
Clan: LightningClan
Rank: Apprentice
Picture:
Description: A medium-sized she-cat with a light build, Minkpaw's thick brown fur blends into darker points on her paws, face, and tail, giving her the dark colouration that gave her parents the idea for her name. Her dark coat is complemented by lighter points around her face and chest, as well as highlights of lighter fur along her feathery tail. Overall, she gives off a very soft and feathery appearance, with big sea-green eyes and an innocent air about her. Her whiskers are unusually long, giving her a bit more of a feel of her surroundings in the dark, and she blends in well with shadows.
Description Summary: Medium sized she-cat with medium length brown fur and sea-green eyes.
Personality: As Minkpaw starts the long process of blooming into adulthood she has begun to take on a far more rebellious and moody shade in stark contrast to her childhood positivity and warmth. She repeatedly goes against the advice and orders of her elders, seeming to take joy in disobedience. She looks back on her childhood innocence as some kind of idiotic daydream, and feels a strong urge to move away from the conformity of the clan. She feels trapped among her clan mates, and yet feels lonely when she strikes out alone.
The young she-cat is very self-confident, stubborn, and places her trust more in her heart than her head. She’s impulsive and free-spirited, landing herself in trouble often. She’ll try anything once, and isn’t afraid to express herself loudly and explicitly, this tends to make her come across as rude and hot-headed.
She tends to make a small group of close friends rather than making close connections with a larger group, and is fiercely protective of her friends and family. She doesn’t see it in terms of clan loyalty so much as loyalty to the cats who are important to her, and has little prejudice in her heart for cats from other walks of life.
History: Mink-kit was born in unfortunate circumstances, the sole survivor of a difficult and premature birthing. Her two siblings were still-borns, their fragile new lives leaving them before they had the chance to breathe their first gasps. Mink-kit was frighteningly small, a tiny ball of dark-brown fur that barely had the energy to squeak, but with the care and support of her parents (Redtail and Bramblethorn) and the medicine cat, she grasped onto life with what was to become a characteristically stubborn nature and refused to let go.
As the days came and went, little Mink-kit began to grow. Her parents loved her dearly and deeply, staying close to her and supporting her in every step of her development. They did their best not to spoil her, fighting their initial instincts to treat her as fragile and filling her with confidence and love. Young Mink-kit was a bright and chipper kit, full of smiles and laughter. She loved to romp with the other kits, eyes sparkling as she had adventures in the safety of the camp. She was full of awe for her elders, and looked forward to becoming an apprentice with deep excitement.
As she aged however, and apprenticeship drew ever closer, the natural course of maturation began to darken her outlook on the world. As teenagehood began to take it’s grasp on her, the newly-appointed Minkpaw began to grow rebellious and cynical. She has no problems once she’s actually training, but will frequently blow off her mentor in favor of wondering off on her own or hanging out with her friends instead.
Other: She's a fierce and promising fighter, which is what will eventually earn her her warrior name as minks are known to take on creatures many times their own size and win.
Were You Referred? Dreamer referred me here. We RPed together on two different sites, and they’ve both had dips in activity so I thought I’d come look at this active-looking site ^_^
