Lightpaw
SHORT DESCRIPTION
A flame point tom with blue eyes.
APPEARANCE
Lightpaw is a still-small tom with a round apple-shape face that ends in a pointed muzzle. His ears are sharply slope triangles ending in delicate ginger points just lightly tuffed at the tips. The ginger continues as faint tabby markings on his otherwise white pelt, full on smudges of color in between his shoulder blades and on his face itself. His nose is a pale pink, but has noticeable black spots along it despite the trailing pinkness of his lips and surrounding skin.
Build-wise he is relatively slight in stature, but in the way of a still growing cat. Already though he seems to resemble his mother over his father with his thinner build.

PERSONALITY
Lightpaw is most obviously, painfully, shy. Of all other traits, his sheer tentative, almost reluctant, behavior when engaging with strangers or cats he is not familiar with stands out the most. But that isn't all he is. While at the surface his personality of a shy gentle thing seems cut and dry, there is far more about him that is visible when one looks beneath the surface.
For one, Lightpaw is a very open individual, both in heart and mind. He will willingly accept anyone and anything if he has the chance. He is also very open and in-tuned to his environment and the emotions of others, some of which comes from his tendency to walk around with his eyes open and ready to take in anything and everything. In some ways it makes him naive, in others wise beyond his age with his lack of prejudice.
While some would think that because he is shy, he is a very skittish and anxious thing, Lightpaw is actually relatively laid-back. Very rarely will he allow himself to get angry or annoyed at someone, rather instead he often takes everything in stride. Even when things get tough, he is known to keep his cool. In some ways this makes him good material for a warrior, but in other ways it could be a downfall. After all, in the same ways that it is positive it can also be a problem.
His tendency to remain calm and relaxed often leads to him overlooking things that others would find to be a problem, such as negative behavior or other such things. While disciplined, he himself is not strict and doesn't try to force his own habits and beliefs on others, which makes it questionable if he would ever grow up to be in a leadership role as many parents wish for their kits.
But Lightpaw, for all his timid charm, does have a dark side to his personality. Very few cats, other than those around him frequently, know this little fact about. Despite all his couldn't-harm-a-fly-appearance, he is actually incredibly cunning and deceptive at times. This more often than not comes out during conflict, in which he is known to use his tongue and his movements to weasel out of or away from a fight. Between being observant and being fast, all it takes are a few feints and he can slip right through one's paws like a fish.
Rarely he will show this trait toward other cats in his clan, but that doesn't mean it never happens. If one happens to annoy him or try to talk to him when he simply isn't in the mood to, he will show this darker side. A silver tongue, a poker face, and a few choice words later is all it takes sometimes. It may not be nice, but it works. Of course it gets Lightpaw more than a few odd looks when the same voice he was using to softly praise someone is used to methodically tear them down.
When it came to his younger sister, Lightpaw was always a bit of a shadow. Some would think him jealous of his sister's bright ferocity, but in reality he was just content to be around it. Therefore, it was no surprise that out of Stonepaw and Firepaw, he was closest to her.
While nurtured and deeply loved by his family he himself always possessed a sort of fascination with his black-sheep uncle Pineneedle. He, who from a young age, appeared quite shy and timid among most cats would often actively try to seek out, and talk at, the cold warrior out of curiosity.
Eventually Lightpaw was apprenticed to Larchclaw. Naturally at first he was quite shy to the tom that was to train him, refusing to speak more than a few stumble phrases. But slowly and surely he warmed up to the warrior after about a moon of working together. Sadly, as luck would have it, just as he grew comfortable with his mentor said mentor found himself injured, leaving Lightpaw to be passed to another mentor to finish off his training. And the small apprentice can't help the sinking dread that he won't like who ends up as his new mentor.

HISTORY
Lightpaw, named Lightkit for being the lightest colored cat in the litter, was the middle of the kits. Despite that, he always was small than his siblings, making him the runt of the litter even if it wasn't by much. Even so, his family and siblings were completely fine with his small size if not a little overprotective due to it. Yet that didn't mean he didn't follow Firepaw into some of her various trouble-making schemes. When it came to his younger sister, Lightpaw was always a bit of a shadow. Some would think him jealous of his sister's bright ferocity, but in reality he was just content to be around it. Therefore, it was no surprise that out of Stonepaw and Firepaw, he was closest to her.
