Name: Ravenpaw
Age: Seven moons
Gender: Tom
Clan: LightningClan
Rank: Apprentice
Picture: clicky
Description: With a tall, skinny body, Ravenpaw is very fast. He would have to be since he's in LightningClan. Despite being small, Ravenpaw's features are kind of long. He also has short fur that can get very static-y in the winter, but appears naturally messy. Ravenpaw's hind legs are stronger than his front, as when he runs to catch his prey or an enemy warrior, he uses them to push off from the ground and hit the opponent in a sort of flying tackle. Somewhere among his ancestors, there is a StoneClan cat that gifted him with strong legs.
Ravenpaw's thick fur is a pitch black. That picture up there is pretty basic for his fur. His legs have dark gray socks, with white toes. Above his nose is a white stripe that tapers off to between his eyes. His tail has dark gray bands that ends in a pure white tip. His mother Snowfern gave him the genes necessary to have green, upturned eyes. Instead of the usual dark green eyes, they look more of a poisonous color.
Description Summary: A tall, short-furred black tom-cat with bright green eyes.
Personality: Ravenpaw in general is rather reserved and solemn. He has a sharp wit and a caustic attitude that can cause him to be rather frightening at times. Not to mention Ravenpaw tends to be overly harsh with his words. He's a natural leader in the making though, as when something happens to someone in the Clan, he is genuinely concerned for them. He tends to take things way too seriously, as when someone jokes in his presence about something serious, Ravenpaw can feel insulted or hurt. This is when his passionate side kicks in and he can throw in a rather impressive rant.
He has an intelligent mind, and picks up new things quickly. With his extreme bluntness and general apathy, some cats might not like him. He tends to be overtly honest and if someone asked him to keep a terrible secret that endangers the Clan... well Ravenpaw goes to the leader. And the deputy. And the medicine cat. He has a good side, trust me, he doesn't like to reveal it often. With how honest he is, Ravenpaw is an extremely loyal cat to the bone. He truly believes it is necessary to tell the blunt, honest truth to other cats. He doesn't really care how they might take the news, but that strong belief is what centers him.
Around kits, Ravenpaw is as playful as any other apprentice. He really likes them, and likes to regal stories woven from fantasy. He's a good story-maker, and can get really into them.
History: Ravenpaw was born in Leafbare, to Snowfern and Tawnyowl. Ravenpaw- Ravenkit at the time- was christened so because of his grandfather's black fur and dark gray additions. His mother wanted to name him Gustkit after her own father, but Tawnyowl vetoed that idea almost immediately. The only kit among two warriors at the time, Ravenkit often felt lonely that he had no siblings.
His desperate wish for siblings came true when Snowfern gave birth to a mix of white and brown kits a couple of seasons later. His parents let him name one of the kits, and in honor of the story his father had told him the other day, Ravenkit gifted a little tawny she-cat the name of Gustkit. The others were named Quickkit and Waspkit subsequently. After their birth, Ravenkit often found himself playing with the trio, regardless of his own loneliness of being the only kit in the first litter.
Ravenpaw's first- and only- friend came in the form of a light brown tabby named Owlkit. His opposite in all ways, their friendship was a mystery to behold. In all honesty, they had knocked heads one day and had proceeded to have a verbal sparring match between the two. After insult among insult was traded, the two had been grounded to the nursery for a couple of days. They then shared laughter over that fact, and then became fast friends. Since Owlkit was a moon older than Ravenpaw, he got his apprentice name first. This caused some havoc in the nursery for a straight moon, though no-one could directly pin the blame on Ravenkit.
When he reached apprentice-hood, Ravenkit was honestly glad that he was an apprentice. At least he could be with his friend now.
