HAZEPAW
18 Moons || NightClan || Tom || Narcoleptic
The start of Hazepaw's day usually began with the soft nudging of either Brightfeather or Darkblaze to wake him, more often it was Darkblaze owing to Daypaw being his brother's apprentice, so he had more reason than most to enter the apprentices' den. However, with the recent introduction of goatweed into Hazepaw's life, it was Nettlefur who pulled him from his nest lately, where he would then scurry over to Featherpaw's den, eager to start the day off right with the addition of herbs that - believe it or not - seemed to be helping.
He was definitely falling asleep less, and Featherpaw was already discussing with Smokefur when they should increase the dosage, something he was more than fine with; would I stay awake for days if she gave me too much? His mind often wandered back to this question throughout the day, and it took considerable effort on the tortoiseshell tom's part not to rush over and tell Featherpaw to try it; staying awake for days wasn't healthy for any-cat, but with these recent strings of successes, Hazepaw was feeling good about himself again, and feeling good about the possibility of redeeming himself in the eyes of his Clanmates.
Even still, it wasn't as if he didn't still get tired; Featherpaw had warned him not to overdo it, so he had decided to go on only the Dawn Patrol today, and he would reserve the hunting to a minimum, planning to give his mind and body the rest it needed if he was going to make a full recovery from his difficult time in the mountains. A light summer's rain had come down shortly before sunhigh, and Hazepaw brought the fresh scent of it with him when he entered the apprentices' den; briefly blocking out what little light there was in this part of the cavern, Hazepaw made straight for his nest, a curious teal gaze trying to penetrate the darkness and see who else might be there. A familiar scent wafted into the should-be-warrior's nose. Daypaw! "Hello Daypaw, did you get caught in the drizzle earlier?" Identifying the white she-cat in the gloom, Hazepaw settled down on his nest of feathers and fresh moss, and began to groom the wetness out of his fur, content that he wasn't the only one here. Darkblaze and Brightfeather would still be out hunting, and so would Sunpulse and Moondance; Daypaw's presence was a welcomed surprise, maybe Darkblaze had sent her back to camp once the rain had gotten worse?
