BLACKFIRE of TreeClan 25 Moons. She-Cat. Warrior
The she-cat was bored and that was not a good thing, so she walked up to her old mentor. She hunted down the tom and when she found him she looked at his form. "Come on, let's go walk the borders. The scent trails must need tobe renewed anyways. The others have probably lacked along the NightClan border." Without even waiting for an answer from him, she turned and started toward the exit of the camp.
She stopped outside of the camp and she looked behind her and waited for Adderstrike. Once he had caught up she started toward the NightClan border then. She was sure that the borders had not been checked. She had heard of the skirmish between a NightClan and RainClan patrol anyways, she was going to make sure that TreeClan's borders were safe.

GhostlightThe Ghost In Your Mind Be still my heart 'cause it's freaking out, it's freaking out, right nowShining like stars 'cause we're beautiful, we're beautiful, right now
Adderstrike The Snake of Treeclan I am not alone, Not beaten down just yet I am not afraid, Of the voices in my head
The sour tempered tom had just recently returned from a hunting patrol with his brother, before checking on his sister in the nursery. He had finished his mouse when Blackmist had padded up, basically demanding that he patrol with her along the Nightclan border. His former apprentice had a mouth on her and he was sure she would use it on him if he didn't comply and follow her out of the camp.
Not that it bothered him too much, he didn't mind checking up on the Nightclan border, never know when Blackwolf needed his tail to be ripped at. And he didn't really mind being in Blackmist's presence. It was soothing compared to the company of some Treeclan cats. He would honestly take Blackmist over Sunstride at some points, though Sunstride did make good company when he didn't talk.
His noise caught the acid like scent of Nightclan as soon as the border came within view, and it was then that he caught sight of the large black tomcat that Adderstrike tended to have a problem with. "Trying to figure out a way to take Lionstar's life as well, Foxdung?" His snarl was cold and sharp, blue eyes burning as he stalked up towards the border. Of course, this was when Sunstride would have been good company, keeping his acid tempered in check. But he was on a free leash now, and he felt like snapping at a wolf like a snake.
"Are you going to take Ravenstar's life too?" He growled, shoulder rippling under his pelt, "What'd she do, not make you deputy? Maybe you aren't as perfect as you thought? Like loosing to a Treeclanner?" His eyes alight with viciousness, Adderstrike was pulling on strings not meant to be pulled.
The long furred black she-cat had been out patrolling with Blackwolf and his apprentice Nightpaw, she figured taking them along Treeclan would be better than Rainclan at the moment. But low and behold, it seemed as if the dark brooding tom with her had enemies everywhere that had a target on her chest. Stupid tom.
Her ghostly blue eyes laid on Adderstrike as the ginger and white tom stalked forwards, spatting out words against Blackwolf, basically calling him a leader killer. Which he had done, but at least she could claim self defense. Cats died like that at times, and even though the battle hadn't been provoked, she could still say that was what happened.
Not like a Treeclanner would listen.
Her plume lashed behind her as she stepped in-front of Blackwolf, almost nose to nose with the aggressive tomcat in front of her face. "Watch it mousedung." She growled threateningly. Her claws slid from her black paws as she stared, blue in blue, waiting for the tom to make a move on Nightclan territory since they were still on their side of the border.
"At least we didn't get beat in our own territory..." Ghostlight snapped, teasing Treeclan about their inability to stop Nightclan from prey stealing, however she didn't get the chance to finish as Adderstrike leap at her, taking her down with ease as he was bigger than her, fangs in her scruff as he pinned her down with lightning speed.

Adderstrike! I'd know that stench anywhere. What had begun as an easy patrol of NightClan's borders quickly became a confrontational stand off between himself and a tom he had grown to hate more so than any other TreeClan cat. The ensuing crowfood spewing out of Adderstrike's mouth would have provoked a barkish laugh right out of Blackwolf's – but in the blink of his mismatched eyes, Ghostlight had gotten right in front of him, both blocking his view as well as causing the fight to escalate like wildfire.
In a flash of lightning, Adderstrike had seized Ghostlight by the scruff, pinning her into the wet grass as though with half the intention of ending her then and there. Forgetting Blackmist, the wrathful NightClan tom slammed into Adderstrike with the force of a badger, a snarl wrenching the air between as he made a herculean effort to sink his teeth into the enemy's shoulder, intending to tear until Adderstrike squealed.
A terrible rage had consumed him at the sight of his Clanmate – his ally – with her life clutched between Adderstrike's filthy teeth, his fur bristling into a wild, furious appearance, tail spiked and ears pinned back both to protect them from claws but to convey the full force of his ire.
He had no thoughts, in this moment; it was him reacting purely on emotion and loyalty alone. He was not contemplating his next moves, not throwing out any scathing, sarcastic remarks meant to damage the opponent's ego while he damaged their body. The jet black tom seemed to be concentrating exclusively on the removal of Adderstrike – and not just from around Ghostlight's neck, but from the valley in a more permanent sense.
He'd be damned before he let some mouse-bile TreeClan cat kill one of their own. After Halfmask's grotesque death at the teeth of that RainClan wretch, Blackwolf was touchy about losing another Clanmate – especially one he considered valuable. One he did not want to lose.
He'd kill Adderstrike a hundred times over if it ensured Ghostlight's safety.

BLACKFIRE of TreeClan 25 Moons. She-Cat. Warrior
NIGHTPAW of NightClan 06 Moons. She-Cat. Apprentice
She liked how her former mentor just got up and followed her to the border, it made it easier on her, since the next resort would have been to start talking and talking and then yelling, him just complying, made life easier on the whole camp really. The she-cat caught the scent of NightClan patrol at the same time that Adderstrike did. She just did her best to keep her mouth shut so that she did not start something that would warrant TreeClan being at fault. It was hard.
She saw Blackwoolf though and she hissed. "I bet you anything that the death of Sandstar was not even needed. Is it true that the apprentice hurt himself and that was what caused it?" She sneered at the tom. Her tail lashed as Ghostlight opened her own maw. For some reason, that she-cat's voice always annoyed Blackfire. She noticed that Adderstrike pounced on Ghostlight. She held her ground but she watched Blackwolf closely. She noticed then that Blackwolf had brought his apprentice to the patrol as well.
She also noticed that the black and white she-cat was cowering. Nightpaw had no idea what she was supposed to do. As far as she knew this was just supposed to be a patrol to not only learn the borders, but to renew scent markers, and now there was a fight. Blackfire saw Blackwolf got for Adderstrike and the tortoiseshell she-cat went for the apprentice. She grabbed the writhing she-cat by the scruff and she watched them. "Blackwolf!" Nightpaw's voice was full of fear and confusion.
Blackfire ignored Ghostlight and she walked over to the two toms. "Leave him Blackwolf. I am sure you don't want a lost apprentice on your paws. I know the best place to hide her and make sure that she will never get home." In the corner of her eyes she was watching Ghostlight. She knew that neither of the Nightclanners wold want to lose the young life, and she wanted her old mentor back as well. This was already unnecessary. She may hate the cats, but she knew exactly what she shouldn't be doing.
She felt the black and white she-cat start to thrash and she felt the apprentices claws connect to her face. She laughed, even though it was blocked by the scruff of the apprentice. She felt blood start to trickle down her face then. "Don't bother kid, but please. Let us see if your mentor cares about you, or if he just enjoys killing others." Her voice was distorted by the fur, but it was still audible.

Adderstrike Fangs Of A Viper I am not alone, Not beaten down just yet I am not afraid, Of the voices in my head
Of course the ginger tabby had a good hold on Ghostlight's neck, teeth digging in quite well as he pinned her down to the mud on Nightclan's side of the border. He was breaking several rules, but at the moment, he was just letting the viper inside out to play. However, he wasn't expecting the big brute known as Blackwolf to jump down his throat instead of going after the other Treeclaner.
Not that he wanted Blackwolf to attack Blackfire, but he figured it would have happened.
Instead, Adderstrike felt fangs dig into his own shoulder as Blackwolf slammed into him, ripping the snake of Treeclan from Ghostlight's body and slamming him into the ground. A feral growl rippled from Adderstrike's throat, as his claws flashed in the sunlight, aimed for a spot to slap against the wolf of Nightclan's jaw, hoping to knock him back.
His instincts were kicking in as he felt as if his shoulder were being ripped from his body, from his position on the ground, he writhed around, trying to find a spot to free himself, much like a snake would do if it were pinned. A hiss left between his teeth as the movement jerked his shoulder even more before he decided to sink his fangs into Blackwolf's leg, hoping to gain the upper-hand.
Once the slick black she-cat felt the pressure on her neck and body being torn away, she found her footing and watched Blackwolf slam the filthy Treeclanner onto the ground, and sink his fangs into the junction where his shoulder met his body. Rip his leg off Blackwolf, the Nightclan warrioress thought before the other she-cat caught her attention.
Pale blue eyes burned like fire as Blackfire went after the apprentice. "Nightpaw!" Ghostlight hissed, racing forwards to help the small and new apprentice from the more savage warrior that had a hold of her. In the back of her mind, the ghostly she-cat knew she had started this fight, even if Adderstrike had been the one to attack first.
She hoped no-cat lost their life, she didn't know what she'd do if she returned to Nightclan without, Starclan forbid, Blackwolf. There would be a huge hole in her body, soul and heart if she lost him. Pulling herself from her thoughts, Ghostlight bared her fangs as she leaped at Blackfire, planning on sinking them into her scruff to pull the black she-cat from Nightpaw.
"Leave Nightpaw alone." Ghostlight hissed, edging closer to the other black she-cat.

It was Nightpaw's petrified screaming of his name that he heard over the sound of his own snarling, adrenaline surging like a flash flood through his body to the point that Adderstrike's fangs in his teeth were not immediately noticed. Trying to see past the blood and the loathing in his eyes, Blackwolf felt his rage lessen its grip on him, Ghostlight now free but it was his apprentice who was in danger of having her throat ripped out. Frog dung. Why was it always the apprentices who were changing the tides in battle? Because they're weak, that's why. Obviously any respectable Clan member would sheathe their claws and concede defeat if it meant the safety of their youngsters - the apprentices needed to toughen up, as far as he was concerned. Watching Nightpaw struggle in the TreeClan wretch's grasp unable to break free, the tom suppressed a violent hiss, instead pulling back his lips to reveal bloodied teeth, his claws still sticking into Adderstrike to deliver as much pain as Adderstrike was trying to deliver him.
"Go ahead then." His voice was a deadly, challenging croon, mismatched eyes staring holes into Blackfire's body. He was going to call her bluff. This was a TreeClan patrol, who answered to the noble and righteous Lionstar; his warriors wouldn't be instructed to kill a NightClan apprentice in cold blood. "If you heard about that battle with Sandstar, then you'd know just how much I like evening up the score." An eye for an eye was a philosophy Blackwolf wholeheartedly embraced; if TreeClan took something of theirs, he would take something from them in return. If that was the apprentice's life, then he would kill a would-be-warrior of their own.
The best case scenario right now would be for Blackfire to release Nightpaw and back off, or else he'd be ripping her mentor into shreds. Just give me a reason to kill him. After what Adderstrike had done to Ghostlight, he needed very little provocation at the present moment; briefly aware of Ghostlight edging her way towards Nightpaw, he would leave her to be the arbiter of this potentially lethal border skirmish. He wasn't feeling very negotiable. Supposedly trading Adderstrike for Nightpaw would be the appropriate thing to do - oh but if Blackwolf had his way with this fight... There'd be no trades, just a body for TreeClan to drag back home with them. Slowly, Blackwolf retracted his claws from Adderstrike's stinking mangy hide, hissing, awaiting the TreeClanner to let go of his leg.

BLACKFIRE of TreeClan 25 Moons. She-Cat. Warrior
NIGHTPAW of NightClan 06 Moons. She-Cat. Apprentice
Before she had grabbed the Nightclan apprentice, Blackwolf had gone after Adderstrike instead of her. She didn't know how to feel about that, but that was when she gained the plan of taking the apprentice, which is where she stood now, with a struggling black and white apprentice squirming in her maw. She felt the apprentices claws connect with her face one more, but nothing but a small cut came from it then. She glared at Blackwolf when he made the deal and she scoffed lightly. She looked over to Adderstrike though and she let the deal slowly filter in her mind. Did she want to lose her mentor? No. She let her gaze filter back to the tom and she placed the apprentice on the ground.
Nightpaw was happy to have her paws back on the ground, but that didn't last long since she was batted back over to Nightclan territory, with a nasty gash on her right shoulder. The she-cat smirked and she looked at Blackwolf. "There is your pathetic apprentice, now let Adderstrike go." Nightpaw had hit something when she landed, but that pain was nothing compared to the pain in her shoulder. She looked at the blood on her shoulder and she hissed. "You will regret that Blackfire." She looked at the Treeclanner as she spat that vow even if the Treeclanner laughed about it.
But the pain was starting to get to Nightpaw and she stayed where she was laying, she was not about to move. But Blackfire on the other paw had her claws extended once more as she waited to see if the tom was going to let Adderstrike go, or if he was going to do something that he would end up regretting, for life.

Adderstrike Fangs Of A Viper I am not alone, Not beaten down just yet I am not afraid, Of the voices in my head
Though the older tom was all for any kind of battle tactics, he was not pleased with how his former apprentice decided to stop the battle. The temperamental tom was very capable of taking care of himself, against Blackwolf or any cat. Despite him being sour, he would never go after a defenseless apprentice, or she-cat for that matter.
When he felt Blackwolf's claws remove from his pelt, there was a small ripple of relief from the pain before he growled lowly, but he wasn't about to not reply. And so, Adderstrike opened his jaw and removed his teeth from Blackwolf's leg, raising up to let his cold, fierce blue eyes stare daggers into Blackwolf's dumb mismatched gaze.
A low growl still echoed in his throat before a new voice decided to ring in his head, loud and annoying, but probably the best voice that could have intervened at that moment. "Adderstrike! Blackfire! Get back onto Treeclan territory now!" The older tom's brother hissed from well over in Treeclan's territory.
Blue eyes glanced over to view Sunstride, his golden and white pelt fluffed up in obvious anger at his clanmate's poor decision to start a petty border skirmish. Sunstride's green orbs were laced with fury and disbelief that two cats couldn't keep themselves from laying claws on Nightclan for just five minutes. If Sunstride couldn't hold his temper that well, Adderstrike was sure his younger brother would be swiping his claws over both his head and Blackfire's.
"Of all the cats, of all the clans. I can't believe how low you would go to take an apprentice hostage!" Sunstride yowled from the safety of Treeclan territory while Adderstrike growled and made his way from Blackwolf and up towards his furious brother. With them being caught, but Sunstride, no less, Lionstar was bound to know now.
Turning his furious gaze from Adderstrike and Blackfire, the young tom turned to Ghostlight and Blackwolf, attempting a subtle nod of his head. "I hope, you can have a better, rest of your day." He said, trying to hold back his fury, before turning and whipping around to lead the other two Treeclanners back to camp.
Ghostlight smirked as she watched Adderstrike and Blackfire trail pathetically after Sunstide. Getting caught and yelled at is never fun, but being caught and yelled at in front of the enemy was even worse, but way better for her and Blackwolf to watch. She was sure the black tom with her would find a way to tease about that sooner or later.
Turning her attention from the retreating Treeclanners, the more gentle of the two black Nightclanners, padded over to Nightpaw, touching her nose to the younger she-cat's ear. "Are you okay?" She asked, looking over the apprentice to make sure that there was no serious harm done, nothing deadly.
