so prepare for a chance of a lifetime
be prepared for sensational news
a shining new era is tiptoeing nearer
After the disastrous foray into TreeClan territory, he had decided that it would be in his best interest to remain within NightClan borders and do his best to avoid Blackwolf, whom he was sure had not forgiven him for that particular incident. Granted, hornets were far from the most pleasant insects one could encounter, particularly a swarm rightfully enraged due to their home being split open – it was an accident, and it wasn’t like he hadn’t come out of it unscathed either. Ears flattening against his head, he recalled the unpleasant sensation of being swarmed, of streaking back toward his own territory in hopes of finding a pond of water – something – he could jump into in order to avoid the cloud of irate hornets. Unbidden, a shiver traveled down his spine at the unpleasantness of the situation. He had decided to make himself scarce around the TreeClan border as well, which meant that if he were to wander the borders, the invisible line with RainClan would be his destination. At the very least, water would be more prevalent in that area, just in case he stumbled upon a hornet’s nest there as well.
His wiry frame slunk from the shadows, emerging silently as he utilized his only ability with ease. Bright green eyes scanned the area as he walked forward, noting any sheltered areas across the border that could be hiding felines of the neighboring clan. The scent markings were faint, he noted idly as he renewed the NightClan one on a whim, and that indicated that a patrol would end up in the area soon enough. Briefly, he considered making himself scarce, for he doubted that those with fish-breath made for better company than the cats of his own clan, who were perpetually covered in a thin layer of mud; in the end, however, he decided to remain visible as he strode along the border, clearly noticeable to NightClan and RainClan cats alike.
