He couldn't even hint at being angry at her, as he had no intention of upsetting the babies in her belly or the sleeping kittens deep inside the warm nursery. All he could do was settle for stoic indifference, and keep his true emotions bottled up like a cap over a volcano until he was in a safe enough place to explode. With Falconleap in the nursery with her friend Pyrelight, Eagletalon went to the edge of camp, and as though he were literally walking into a fog of anger, felt his fur bristle and spike with each step he took that carried him from the source of his anger. So Falconleap had betrayed them. That was it then. One of the reasons why deputies probably shouldn't be she-cats, Eagletalon growled, knowing full well that he didn't fully believe that, but he wasn't honestly in the mood to be Mr. Equality; he just wanted his Clan to be stabilized, he wanted the burden to be lifted from his sister's shoulders, and he wanted this shoddy winter to be over already! Hissing at nothing, the warrior's normally passionate, humorous amber eyes were glazed over with frustration and feelings of betrayal. It was true, he and Falconleap had not been close, but he had trusted her, he had trusted her to be a good friend and aid to his sister Fallingstar, but she had disappointed him, Fallingstar, and everyone else in the Clan. Having thrown his lot in with the pretty tabby, he was feeling particularly embittered by this turn of events. A more sensible side of himself would have spoken up to say that he couldn't blame her for falling in love, but the part of him that was still in shock, was absolutely blaming her for it. What right did SHE have to choose one cat over her whole Clan? They'd given her the position, she had accepted it, it wasn't as if it was forced upon her and she was some sort of victim... The warrior's tail lashed, the fur along his spine spiked like jagged, tiny stalagmites, Eagletalon dropping down into a hunkered sitting position, scarred up shoulders hunched, whole posture expressing his acrimony. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - words: 403 tags: whoever // whoever notes: blah blah blah credit: PANDIE of BTN [/style] |
