With Tawnyleaf and Rapidwind as his escort and the fluffy white kitten, Snowpaw, as his little reverse-color-shadow, the shadowy Medicine Cat stalked on. The dark tufted ears, the jet black fur, the stony countenance - he resembled more a warrior stalking through the underbrush than a cat used to measuring out herb quantities and leaf-gathering. Passing to the very edge of StoneClan's territory, he unconsciously sensed the anxiousness radiating from the two escorts padding nearby, the pair apparently uneasy every time they stepped onto enemy Clan territory.
All things considering, StoneClan and LightningClan were frienemies at best, leaning more towards the hostile side of things than the amicable. Having no such unease crawling through his stomach at the difference in territories, Rookfrost walked on, footsteps quiet but purposeful, his stride quickening the smaller the distance to the Moon Tree became. Reaching the last scent marker, the half-moon bright in the sky above them, Rookfrost crossed into uncharted territory without a tail flick. Why worry about boundaries when there was so many other things to occupy his highly intelligent mind?
Thoughts flipping through several topics at once, the jet black tom went over the apprentice ceremony words in his head, having heard them enough times to recall it perfectly. He didn't need StarClan to 'present him' with the proper words; he did not need any sort of divine intervention, thank you very much. That matter settled, attention momentarily lingered on StoneClan's predicament and their lack of a Medicine Cat. He knew StoneClan was without a Medicine Cat, because Crowfang had passed dangerously close to his hollow on his journey. It was the return that had turned things...dark. Though Rookfrost's hollow full of skeletons had been passed up the first time, the second time around, Crowfang had become too curious. He had paused to go investigate, when he should've been hurrying back home.
To the misfortune of the StoneClan Medicine Cat, the doctor was in.
Nothing particularly ordinary had happened to the Medicine Cat's body. Not needing it for examination so much as to keep his secrets secret, Rookfrost had uprooted a sapling and carried it to the place he'd buried Crowfang, deceptively covering up the grave with a little piece of nature. Even now he could picture the hardy little sapling trying to brave the cold and the snow; he'd dug the snow away from it, but if it didn't make it to New Leaf, that wasn't too much of a surprise.
Ridding his head of those of murder and cover-ups, Rookfrost glanced back at the escort, having arrived - the first to do so - at the Moon Tree's entrance. "You two wait here until sun-up. Snowpaw, do not speak to the other Medicine Cats unless spoken to. If anyone asks about your training, say the bare minimum. If anyone asks about me," the former warrior's cold gray eyes rested on the white kitten, lacking expression though his tone was still distinctive. "Say whatever you like." He did not care for gossip, and he did not care what any cat said about him behind his back. He was just going through the motions, and following all of these ridiculous ceremonies for the sake of keeping the peace within LightningClan.

Snowpaw could not help but feel an excited tingling along his spine as he followed Rookfrost out of camp. He actually hadn’t really been out of camp yet, beyond his attempted excursions as a kit in which he never got more than a few tree lengths away before being brought back by some cat. He was still a new apprentice, he’d only had his ceremony a short few days ago, and his training so far had mostly been focused around learning the herbs Rookfrost had in his store… since most of the herbs in any Clan’s territory at this point were probably dead anyway. They had not needed to leave camp for such lessons and he had been a bit envious of his siblings for the adventures they must be having outside of camp, but at least he did not have to worry about battle training… he much preferred herbs.
So if he had a slight bounce in his step and his fluffy white fur stuck out, rigid with the excitement he was feeling at this new adventure, he could not help it one bit. His plumed tail waved behind him as he walked in the trail Rookfrost was breaking through the snow. He longed to race ahead but he had no idea how to get where they were going. He couldn’t wait to see the Moon Tree and meet cats from the other Clans. It made him even more excited to be a medicine cat… not only could he see and speak with cats from other Clans on friendly terms during Gatherings, but during medicine cat meetings as well! And StarClan… he was pretty sure his dream of being Rookfrost’s apprentice had been from StarClan, but no StarClan cats had actually been in it. He wanted to meet them, to talk to them and hear the wisdom they must have.
His pale green gaze was everywhere as he took in all the sights as they made their way steadily onwards. He imagined there might be more to see in newleaf or greenleaf rather than leaf-bare, when the snow hid so much beneath a sparkling white blanket. How different would this path look when newleaf came? His nose quivered with barely contained curiosity and he glanced behind him to where Tawnyleaf and Rapidwind followed after them. He liked Rapidwind, he had always played with them as kits and seemed quite nice, especially to his mother. Now he was Icepaw’s mentor as well. Tawnyleaf… he didn’t really know her very well yet, but she seemed nice enough. He looked back up to Rookfrost’s dark form, leading the way, and bounded forward a few paces. He longed to barrage his mentor with questions but the dark tom seemed rather focused on their journey and Snowpaw had learned as a kit that when Rookfrost was focused on something he was not in the mood to talk and was more likely to become irritated than anything.
The journey was by far the longest Snowpaw had ever taken and he was more than a little tired by the time they arrived at the entrance to the Moon Tree cavern, but no less enthusiastic. He practically bounced where he stood, peering behind Rookfrost at the rather large crack in the ground that led down to the Moon Tree, trying to see inside, but to no avail. His ears twitched and his gaze returned to his mentor as the other tom finally spoke. Don’t talk to the other medicine cats? But wasn’t that what this meeting was for? He didn’t really understand not talking much about his training either, as all it had been so far was memorizing herbs, but it wasn’t an entirely interesting topic with cats who already knew it all anyway so he didn’t mind. Rookfrost was a bit strange, was all Snowpaw came up with in response to his orders, but he’d already known that and didn’t much mind. He simply nodded and went back to trying to see into the cavern…. His eyes widened slightly. Whispers… whispers were coming from inside. Were cats already in there? He couldn’t make out what they were saying… it was almost just on the edge of hearing… but he wanted to go in and find out! He glanced back at Rookfrost to see if he heard it or not and shuffled his paws impatiently.

It was that time again. Time for the Medicine Cat meeting. He sighed, the last time he went to one of these, he was the apprentice, now it was time for him to announce his apprentice. Blackeagle got out of his moss bed and stretched. He had not even told his apprentice yet what time to go, in fact, Ivypaw was still unknown to the clan. He walked over to the apprentice den and he walks inside.
The black tom walked over to the small ginger she-cat and he prodded her with his paw. "Ivypaw, it is time for us to go. It is time for you to accept your destiny." He had scarcely talked to the she-cat, but he made sure that she knew that he was coming to wake her up before it was time to go. He made sure that the apprentice got enough sleep, and to tell the others by when they got back. For then, she will be recognized, by StarClan, as his apprentice.
Blackeagle waited until the she-cat was awake before he walked out of the den and to the middle of the camp. He waits a few seconds until he catches her scent and he walks on. They were now on their way, and Ivypaw was going to be made his apprentice. He walked slow enough for Ivypaw to catch up to him and he looks down at her when she does. "Now, nobody will be expecting you, they will be expecting Crowfang and myself. If they ask any questions about training, do not answer. They will understand soon enough."
He let his tongue rasp over her ear gently as he continued to walk. It was time to face the facts himself, his mettor was gone, and he was the one who led him to Ivypaw. He just hopes that he can train her in every way that Crowfang trained him, only without sending her out to the mountains for a herb that is not even needed here.
Soon enough, he caught the scents of the other medicine cats and their apprentices and he looked down to Ivypaw and flicked his tail into her body before he quickens his pace a bit. But when he arrives to the meeting place, it was only StoneClan and LightningClan so far. "The others will come and ask questions Ivypaw, remember, only your name and that you are new to this." He walked over to the other tom then and dipped his dome a bit.
"Rookfrost, it has been a while. How is LightningClan?" He looked tot her other tom as he started a small conversation as they waited for the others.

A paw prodded Ivypaw's side. The creamy ginger she-cat stirred a little, blinking open her startlingly green eyes to find her mentor, Blackeagle, crouched over her. "Ivypaw, it is time for us to go. It is time for you to accept your destiny." The soon-to-be medicine cat apprentice yawned and got to her paws, though the excitement was already starting to build up inside her. The idea of being a warrior apprentice had long been dismissed and now her only goal in life was to serve her clan. She brushed a clump of moss off her creamy, pale ginger pelt and looked expectantly at her mentor. He seemed to understand that she needed a little more time to prepare as he exited the den. Ivypaw set about making herself look a little more... presentable, something she wasn't usually to bothered about, but she didn't want the other medicine cats and their apprentices to think she didn't take care of herself. Once satisfied, she quickly departed the den, carrying herself high. StarClan had chosen her to become StoneClan's next medicine cat and now it was time for her to be accepted. She reached her mentor's side, though her gaze quickly wandered around camp. They would need a StoneClan warrior to escort them to the Moon Tree, just in case they ran into any trouble, which Ivypaw very much doubted. They headed out of camp and the creamy pale ginger apprentice struggled a little to keep up with her mentor. When she finally managed to maintain his steady pace, he looked down at her. "Now, nobody will be expecting you, they will be expecting Crowfang and myself. If they ask any questions about training, do not answer. They will understand soon enough." Ivypaw was a little puzzled, but she nodded and held her tongue, her mother had always told her 'if in doubt, say nothing at all.' The apprentice took time to admire her surroundings as they made their way to the sacred meeting place. The territories always looked so beautiful in the snow. It turned the usually dull grey rocks that littered StoneClan's territory into crisp, sparkling boulders. Ivypaw was a little surprised when the entrance to the Moon Tree came into view. She had expected the journey to be a lot longer. Blackeagle had been relitavely quiet, until now when he chose to share some words with her. "The others will come and ask questions Ivypaw, remember, only your name and that you are new to this." Ivypaw nodded, "Just my name," she murmered to herself, before returning her gaze to the meeting place. A black tom and a snowy white apprentice were already gathered there. Ivypaw drew in a deep breath. Their pelts smelt like rabbits and grasses. She guessed they were from LightningClan. She was about to ask whether this was correct when Blackeagle spoke, adressing the medicine cat and apprentice with a dip of the head. "Rookfrost, it has been a while. How is LightningClan?" Rookfrost! The LightningClan Medicine Cat. She had heard of him before. Out of respect she also dipped her head before turning to face the apprentice. "Hi," she meowed enthusiastically, "I'm Ivypaw." While she tried to stay positive, anxiety was starting to creep up inside her. What if StarClan didn't accept her?

Spottedfeather padded out of her camp in a quick pace. She had mixed feelings bout bringing her new apprentice but he was her's now. She told him he would be going with her to this meeting. She wasn't stupid. She knew cats would know something is up and wrong. He was a loner and what clan cat took a cat in that was a loner as an apprentice. The medicine cat gave a sigh and kept up her pace with her apprentice by her side.
The medicine cat was silent during the whole way to the meeting. She felt like she should have said something to her apprentice but she didn't. She wanted to see how things were going to play out when they got there. What was the worst these other clans can do? Talk bad about her apprentice? Every clan talks about one another good or bad. Spottedfeather knew the new was going to get around very fast. It was like a sickness in her eyes.
Getting close she was knew where she was and she stopped and looked at Elder. "Now, make sure you do not speak unless you are spoken to. Please be respectful and don't listen to anything they might tell you..'' she mewed gently. She looked back and saw pelts sitting and a few voices. Giving a gulp she padded on and stepped into the clearing with a gentle smile.
"Greetings everyone, hope prey is running well and your clans are healthy.'' she mewed taking her place with the other medicine cats.
Waiting.. waiting... knowing questions were about to come up when Elder would walk out and join them.

The tense air surrounding the medicine cat made it clear that she didn't want to talk on the way to Moon Tree. So Elder kept his many thoughts to himself, hoping that Spottedfeather was not as anxious as he was. Thoughts racing at a million-miles an hour, he found it hard to concentrate on a single thought. Every step he was closer to becoming a full apprentice. Smiling at the thought of finally being able to help, his thoughts finally calmed down.
Suddenly, Spottedfeather turned toward him and spoke about how to behave during this meeting. Wondering about the sudden instructions he strained his ears to hear anything. He then heard a few cats, speaking together. His nerves returned and he hesitated as Spottedfeather turned to walk on. Flicking his tail he tried to brush aside the concerning thought and walked towards the others. Spottedfeather addressed the other cats, and Elder looked at all the cats assembled. It seemed as though two other clans were there, an apprentice and a warrior each. The others two apprentices looked very young and small compared to Elder. Another flash of doubt crossed Elder's mind, and he wondered again if he really was the right choice. Realizing now wasn't the time for thoughts like that, he let the thought go and payed more attention to the other cats.

Their pace was slow, for the simple fact that Flickerpaw's hind leg was mangled and render useless. While the cream colored she-cat told him to exercise his leg until he felt strong enough, his pace was set for the entire trip.
Now Swanfeather wasn't upset at the young tom, however she wasn't going to go easy on him and she expected him to gain some strength in his leg to night slow down the entire escort party for future meetings. While it was unfair to be so cruel to her new apprentice, it was Swanfeather's style of teaching.
From a young age she didn't see the Medicine cat rank as a way to get out of warrior training, in fact she felt it was much more difficult and took twice as long to perfect, even the clumsiest of cats could learn some basic fighting moves and a few hunting tricks and pass themselves off as warriors, but it took the determined and the intelligent cats to look beyond battles and hunts, to study the sickness that plagued even the strongest clans. It was their duty to learn all the herbs and be able not to only know them by sight but smell as well, it wasn't simple and Swanfeather still had a feeling that Flickerpaw didn't fully understand what he had agreed to.
As the party of cats over came the slight hill, she was displeased to see so many cats already arrived. Nearly every medicine cat had one extra member with them, Swanfeather didn't express any emotions as she nodded in greeting to everyone, flicking her tail for Flickerpaw to sit beside, until someone called the meeting to star. Her ears flicked as she waited and a thought crossed her mind just in time, she opened her mouth slightly to speak to Flickerpaw and Flickerpaw alone.
"Keep your mouth shut and don't speak unless spoken to. I will answer most question for you, tonight you are to be respectful and nod your head to every fully trained medicine cat and no one else. You are my apprentice but you aren't lower in rank then the other cats. Speak to no one. These are tough times with the flood and leaf-bare so soon, everything you say can show weakness to our clan. I will not risk my clan's safety for a mistake you make." Swanfeather said sternly keeping her eyes ahead of her but speaking sideways to her apprentice, her voice just loud enough for him to hear, it was important he obeyed her, the safety of RainClan hung in the balance. Despite the bitter cold, a wave of heat maintained itself in Flickerpaw's ears. He knew that he was the reason that Swanfeather wasn't leaping over the ground and making a beeline for the medicine cat gathering. In fact, he was quite sure that his mentor had left the camp early, on his account, just so they could be on time.
Holding out in silence, the tom did the best he could to run on three legs, but he wasn't graceful nor quick in his attempts. As they traveled farther, however, the apprentice was getting more comfortable with the feeling of balancing between one less limb. The climb up toward MoonTree also proved to be a challenge; navigating the rocky territory was much more difficult than simply traveling through flattened earth, and by the time that the RainClan cats arrived, Flickerpaw thought that the two were probably the last.
Head down, Flickerpaw acknowledged his mentor's instructions with a flick of his tail and refused to meet the gazes of any of the other medicine cats, but only for a second. Curiosity replaced the shallow embarrassment, and the tom's blue eyes surveyed the other healers. Having only seen them at distances at Gatherings, putting the cats in perspective made them seem even more aloof. On top of that, it seemed that he was not the only new medicine cat apprentice.
Well, that was a relief. As tempted as he was to start chatting with his fellow Medicine Cat apprentices and ask them about their training, the tom kept his mouth shut, wanting to prove to Swanfeather that he wasn't just some cat with a limp.

Smokefur set off long before the other medicine cats, she had a full day and a half travel just to reach the moontree; it was a full three day walk there and back not including the time she spent with the other medicine cats at the moontree. She had been to many of these meetings, but only a few by herself and it still made her feel slightly awkward.
She hadn’t been allowed to eat for many days before she was to make the journey, as per orders by Ravenstar for her transgressions, so she was instructed to bring strong warriors on the journey to accompany her. She had settled on Blackwolf and Halfmask, they were both healthy and strong despite the harsh leafbare the clans had suffered up until this point.
The trip had been long; so long Smokefur had spent much of it in a hunger induced haze. She tripped over her own feet many a time, and even fell flat on her face on two occasions. The warriors accompanying her had showed their concern, Blackwolf asking if she was alright. She just growled as she picked herself up, dusted off and continued on her marry way towards their destination.
As the journey finally came to the halfway mark where she would spend a decent amount of time resting with her peers, she was spent. The world was spinning beneath her as she stumbled up to the group of medicine cats. "Greetings everyone, hope prey is running well and your clans are healthy.'' Spottedfeather mewed just as Smokefur pushed past her and started dry heaving in the snow. Her entire frail body shook as she attempted to lose the lunch she had never eaten; Blackwolf wasn’t far behind checking on her to make sure she was okay and offering support of the pitiful medicine cat.
After dry heaving countless times, falling to the ground, and laying there unmoving taking deep ragged breaths Smokefur pushed herself to her stomach and shakily returned to her feet. “Greetings…” She choked out in a cracked, sore voice. She looked at all the cats that had shown up for the meeting and saw plenty of new apprentices. Maybe if she wasn’t convinced she was slowly dying she would have thought deeply about finding Nightclans next medicine cat. Right now, she didn’t care.

Rookfrost had nodded curtly to Blackeagle, managing to separate his thoughts from his actions by mewing in a calm, even voice that "LightningClan is fine. How is StoneClan fairing?" He didn't actually care, but now was the time to put aside his dislike of just about everyone here and pretend to be socially conscious as well as strong for the sake of LightningClan's reputation. The jet black tom's eerie gray eyes fell to Ivypaw, the cream-furred she-cat that had been trailing after Blackeagle like his own personal familiar, and it didn't take a genius to figure out that this must be the new StoneClan apprentice. So StoneClan was progressing just fine without Crowfang? Good. Then may the secret of his death be forever lost in the fabric of time; he would leave Snowpaw to converse with the other apprentices as well as introduce himself, since the she-cat had addressed him.
Catching the scent of even more familiar and equally unfamiliar cats, Rookfrost's eyes narrowed against the glare of the moon, spying Spottedfeather stalking towards them with a warrior-aged tom padding quietly behind her. Another new apprentice? Foxdung, this is going to be a long meeting. Unless, while contemplating the deaths of enemy cats and Clanmates alike, as well as mulling over the possibility of infecting someone with rabies just to see what would happen, he had missed a Medicine Cat meeting? No, he was punctual and not forgetful, even if he hated these stupid things.
Including his apprentice, Spottedfeather's apprentice, Blackeagle's apprentice - and who was that? Swanfeather and a young cat with a limp? That would make a total of four apprentice ceremonies, and there would be one more yet if Smokefur showed up with her own little protege in tow. His gaze lingered on Swanfeather for a few brief moments, silently wondering if RainClan was doing as shabbily as he'd assumed they were since the flooding, but he cast those thoughts aside like a tree shedding it's leaves. Having committed the faces of the newcomers to memory - out of habit rather than a desire to - a sudden turn of events caught the ebony tom's attention like bait to a fish. In came the NightClan Medicine Cat, and she did not look well.
Eerily thin, and with the haze of starvation making her eyes appear glassy, the doctor surmised that all was not well in the Clan of Night. Not if their Medicine Cat had three paws in the grave already. She did not bring an apprentice with her, but the two warriors she HAD brought looked well fed and strong. Does she have worms? This thought crossed his mind as he watched with half-lidded eyes, the sight of Smokefur dry-heaving into the snow, the she-cat instantly becoming the center of attention with her behavior.
Rookfrost had to suppress a dry, cold laugh. A Medicine Cat who was ill? Now wasn't THAT worth a laugh and a half?
"I take it all is not well in NightClan, Smokefur." He mewed, voice calculating and calm. "Are you fit to last the whole meeting?" Personally, if it were up to him, even if the she-cat collapsed he would've carried on with business as usual - but the other feather-hearted cats here would all rush to her side to see what was wrong. Too many healers could very well kill her, if they all tried curing her at once, and while that WOULD be entertaining to see and an interesting lesson for Snowpaw, perhaps it was best if things went as smoothly as possible instead.

Tearing his pale green gaze away from the cavern entrance, Snowpaw turned when the scent of newcomers hit him. To Snowpaw they smelled… kind of dusty…. But there was also a familiar scent mixed in. The wind. It was a hard scent to describe, but it somehow made their dusty smell a bit more bearable, and reminded him faintly of LightningClan’s own scent. LightningClan had that windblown smell, but with a sharp tang of grass where these cats had their… dust. From what he knew about all the other Clans, he had to guess them to be StoneClan, since he had heard that their territory was very dry and thus their dusty scent would make sense. But he couldn’t exactly be sure since he’d never gone far from camp before today and had no idea what the other Clans’ scents were like. However a moment later his guess was confirmed as reality when Rookfrost replied to the other medicine cat, asking him how StoneClan was doing. Snowpaw grinned; hah, he’d been right!
It was then that he noticed the other young cat that had followed after the StoneClan medicine cat. His plumed tail flicked in annoyance that he didn’t know the other medicine cat’s name… Rookfrost hadn’t said it. At least his apprentice introduced herself. She seemed nice and he was glad for someone to talk to, someone from another Clan no less! He came to sit beside her after a quick glance at Rookfrost, “Hi Ivypaw! I’m Snowpaw. Are you new too? Who is your mentor? I mean… what’s his name?” He huffed in frustration, “Rookfrost hasn’t really told me anything about the other Clans yet, but we’re only a few days into training. I know so little about everyone else, everyone not LightningClan.” His pale green eyes were wide and eager for any information she might give him about her own Clan; not for malicious purposes but simply because he was curious as to how the other Clans lived and how they differed from his own Clan.
Before Ivypaw would have much time to answer though, more cats showed up. Another mentor and apprentice pair it seemed, though Snowpaw only guessed which one was the apprentice by the fact that he was following her rather than leading the way since he seemed to be quite a bit older than he or Ivypaw. Had he been training since he was their age? Did he have his full medicine cat name but was still technically an apprentice until his mentor passed on or retired? Snowpaw wondered just how long he himself would be an apprentice under Rookfrost. Not that he wanted the older tom to die or anything. He watched the two new cats approach, drawing their scent in to see if he might be able to guess their Clan as well. Thick musty plant scents were the main thing he picked up, wrinkling his nose slightly. They weren’t the pleasant herb scents of the medicine den, subtle and sweet, this scent was strong and almost overpowering compared to the lighter windblown scents of LightningClan and StoneClan. Well, at least that’s what he picked up from the she-cat. The tom’s scent wasn’t nearly as strong and was pretty bearable… strange.
So which Clan did they belong to? He always heard warriors and apprentices complaining about RainClan… they smelled so strongly of the fish they ate, whatever that smelled like. But this didn’t seem like it would be fish… this was clearly plant scent… so NightClan or TreeClan? He wasn’t sure which one. He turned back to Ivypaw briefly, murmuring softly, “Do you know what Clan they’re from?” It HAD to be NightClan or TreeClan, but he really had no idea which was correct. They both lived among trees and stuff so he wasn’t sure just yet about what would make their scents different. Another two cats appeared then, leaving their escort to wait with the other warriors some distance away so the medicine cats could speak more privately. The younger one seemed close to his own age, and Ivypaw’s, and walked with a limp. The scent that hit him from these two was DEFINITELY overpowering. If he had been standing he might just have staggered back a step or two. RainClan. It had to be, no doubt about it. He could not help when his nose wrinkled again against the overwhelming scent the two gave off, wet and oily. He shook his head slightly, trying to clear his nostrils. If that’s what fish smelled like he would never ever go near one!
The two newly arrived apprentices did not seem so inclined to talk, which was highly disappointing. Snowpaw had so looked forward to chatting with those from the other Clans, but so far only Ivypaw had even greeted him. He sighed lightly, but his ears perked and he became alert and interested again as another cat came to join them, promptly… heaving into the snow. He stood, about to step forward in concern when the new cat’s Clanmate came forward to make sure she was all right. He hesitantly settled back to his haunches beside Ivypaw, still watching the newcomer with concern. She didn’t seem well at all, and that was besides the heaving and collapsing…. The scent of her and the warrior that had come forward to see to her but was no retreating to where they others were was somewhat sweet, but still sharp and perhaps just a bit much, and also held a touch of wetness…. This had to be NightClan… this scent didn’t make any sense at all for TreeClan. Once again Rookfrost confirmed his guess, and he got a name this time as well! Smokefur. He would remember.
He glanced around, but Smokefur did not seem to have brought an apprentice along. That was too bad, clearly Smokefur wasn’t in such a good state for idle chatter. He wondered if things were really horrible in NightClan their medicine cat seemed so sick… but that warrior that had seen to her had seemed fine. He glanced at Ivypaw curiously, wondering what she thought of everyone and if she was as curious as he was. So many new cats, all from different Clans, and the cavern lurking behind them all holding within its depths the fabled Moon Tree where they would meet StarClan. His fur once more stood on end as excitement coursed through him like electricity through his veins.

Blackeagle looked at his apprentice when she went to the other apprentice. He nods to her telling her it is okay to converse, as long as she remembered the warning. Nothing about our clan or training. He nodded to Rookfrost when the tom answered his question. "StoneClan is doing well, we are mourning the death of Crowfang, but StarClan has their reasons for everything." He spoke of his deceased mentor with the full respect that he had given the medicine cat when he was alive.
He was about to talk again when he caught the scent of TreeClan about to join them. He flicked his tail to warn Ivypaw of others and he dips his head to Spottedfeather when she arrived. "StoneClan is having good prey hunting and our clan is well. How is TreeClan?" He asked the she-cat then. He was the youngest of all the Medicine Cats, so respect rolled off him as if it was a ninth sense. He just wanted to be sure that everyone here knew that he was not going to just leave his clan.
He looked at Elderpaw and saw that the tom was just standing around. He smiled lightly and caught RainClan's scent then. Well, we are about to leave now. He thought to himself. He saw the RainClan medicine cat and apprentice, but he noticed that Swanfeather was talking to her apprentice, so he let it go. NightClan came to him then and looked over to where Smokefur would be arriving from and he flicks his tail.
He nodded his head to Smokefur, he could tell that the she-cat was not well and it bit at him. A sick medicine cat without an apprentice. He let his thoughts trail and he dipped his head ot the she-cat in his greetings. Blackeagle flicked his tail once more in irritation then and he looked at Ivypaw. He chose her from the sign that he got from StarClan. StarClan, please be right. He hoped that nothing was truly going to happen to their clan.
He looked at all of the cats then and he waits for the formalities to finish. It should be time to go soon, and he was going to see what StarClan wanted him to see.

Ivypaw spotted her mentor nod of the head and briefly acknowledged it by flicking her creamy striped tail. “Hi Ivypaw! I’m Snowpaw. Are you new too? Who is your mentor? I mean… what’s his name?” Ivypaw smiled at Snowpaw's enthusiasm. She felt just the same, perhaps with little tinges of anxiety at the thought of not being accepted by the noble warriors of the past that were StarClan. Flicking her tail towards her mentor, addressing Snowpaw "That's Blackeagle," her startlingly green eyes rested on the white apprentice's mentor, she was just about to ask if Rookfrost was his mentor when he added, "Rookfrost hasn’t really told me anything about the other Clans yet, but we’re only a few days into training. I know so little about everyone else, everyone not LightningClan." Ivypaw tilted her head to one side, wondering how much to tell the other inquisitive apprentice. On one hand, if she told him about StoneClan, maybe he would tell her a little about LightningClan. "StoneClan is doing good," she began cautiously, she knew that Snowpaw didn't want to know about her and her clanmates for any malicious purposes, she just didn't want to break her promise to Blackeagle, "Crowfang died recentley, which is why Blackeagle's now medicine cat," she added, bringing her mentor into the conversation once more, "I haven't done much training yet, but I can't wait to learn about all the herbs." She studied Snowpaw's expression for a response to her words, "What's it like in LightningClan? I've heard rumours that Blazehawk is now leader?" she waited for him to deny or confirm her question, but her attentive gaze was drawn to new arrivers at the meeting place.
A spotted brown tabby and could it be, her apprentice? The brown tom that was accompanying the medicine cat looked fully grown, was it possible for a fully grown warrior to become a medicine cat apprentice? Judging from the scents that clung to their pelts, Ivypaw assumed they were either TreeClan or NightClan. Probably TreeClan, she decided in the end, as from what she had been told, they were nearer to the Moon Tree than NightClan. Snowpaw too seemed a little unsure on what clan they were, after all, both NightClan and TreeClan were hunters of the forest. “Do you know what Clan they’re from?” "I think they're TreeClan, they're nearer to the Moon Tree I've heard," she nodded her head to the spotted brown she-cat, "I think that may be Spottedfeather," her gaze turned to the tom by her side, But who is that?" More cats had begun to arrive, but this time it was obvious what clan they belonged to. The stench of fish and water clung to the pelts of both the white-creamy she-cat with a dark face and her apprentice, a pale brown tabby tom, who walked with a limp. Ivypaw frowned. What good was a medicine cat who couldn't walk properly? What if there was a cat dieing and he couldn't get there in time? She sighed, dismissing the thought. What was RainClan's Business was nothing to do with her. She turned up her nose as they walked past. The scent of fish was overpowering.
The final cat to arrive must have been from NightClan. Her pelt smelt strongly of pine needles, though Ivypaw couldn't help but notice she looked ill. And there was no apprentice with her either. She looked awful, like she hadn't eaten for moons. What good was an ill medicine cat? NightClan couldn't be doing good. The medicine cat forced out a sore mew and the creamy pale ginger she-cat felt a tinge of sympathy for the grey tabby she-cat. Her gaze travelled to the cavern behind them. Its shadows held such mysteries and intrigued Ivypaw deeply. Inside was the majestic beauty that was the Moon Tree. Her fur stood up on end and her green gaze was wide with excitement. Soon she, Ivypaw, would be meeting warriors of StarClan.

Spottedfeather was more focused on her apprentice and what the others would be saying. Why did she care though. It was her choice. Almost not hearing Blackeagle she turned to face the tom and mewed, "Treeclan is doing well thank you..'' She wanted to say more. The two apprentices that lied in her den because of Demon.. but that was not something the other clans needed to know about. The two young cats were going to be just fine and be warriors in no time. "I hope all is going well in Stoneclan?'' she asked back looking at the young tom.
She glanced over to her apprentice and let him know that he can relax. This must be so confusing for him. He would get the hang of it. She was sure. She had faith in this young tom. Giving her apprentice a small smile she looked back and kept her voice low just so Elder could hear. "You will get to know everyone's names in time. I would start learning now though if I were you.. that tom over there.. black coat who looks like he could give two mousedungs about life is Rookfrost. He belongs to lightningclan. His apprentice.. like I have you.. he has Snowpaw who is over there talking with Ivypaw. Ivypaw is Stoneclans medicine cat apprentice. Her mentor is over there..'' motioning to the tom who asked her about Treeclan, "Blackeagle. He's the youngest medicine cat here.'' Wondering if she should keep going she made up her mind and kept going.. "Swanfeather is over there with her apprentice Flickerpaw. Just lie low when it comes to her. She has a way with words..finally you have Smokefur. she belongs to Nightclan and heals those cats. she on the other hand does not have an apprentice..well....I'm not really sure why. Medicine cats do have a choice weather or not to take on an apprentice and I'm guessing she didn't wish to have one..'' OOC: If i forgot a medicine cat/apprentice in that I'm sorry!

A lonely feeling settled over Elder, as the other two apprentices were talking together. But he didn't want to accidentally say something he shouldn't. He took a step towards the other apprentices when Spottedfeather turned and started talking to him. She was talking about who each cat was. As she said the name he studied the certain cat. Rookfrost looked the most intimidating of the medicine cats assembled. Although his apprentice was very different from him. Snowpaw looked very excited, and was talking animatedly to someone, who Spottedfeather said was Ivypaw. Smiling at the two younger cats, he heard that they were talking about their clans. Then she talked about Ivypaw's mentor, Blackeagle. The cat did look young, only a few more moons then Elder was. Then, was the pair from Rainclan, Swanfeather and Flickerpaw. He felt bad for Flickerpaw, he only had three legs. Elder decided to take Spottedfeather's advice and mostly stay away from Swanfeather. Spottedfeather then pointed out the last one that had walked in, Smokefur, who looked sick. He said to Spottedfeather, "Thank you. I am glad you told me." Then he walked over towards the other two apprentices and said, "Hello. I am Elder...paw." He almost forgot to add the last bit onto the end of his name. He hoped that Spottedfeather didn't mind that he was saying this to them, but decided it wasn't a big deal. He kept smiling at the other apprentices, and wondered what would happen next.
